In this paper, we propose a control system for synchronizing attitude between an Android smartphone and a mobile robot. The control system is comprised of a smartphone and a mobile robot. The smartphone transports its attitude to the mobile robot and receives the attitude of mobile robot through bluetooth communication. Further, the smartphone displays the mobile robot on the screen by using embedded camera, which can be used as a pseudo augmented reality. Comparing the received attitude data from smartphone, the mobile robot measures its attitude by an AHRS(attitude heading reference system) and controls its attitude. Experiments show that the synchronization performance of the proposed system is maintained in the error range of 1'.

With the development of IT (Information Technology) technology, embedded system and network technology are combined and used in various environments such as military environment as well as everyday life. In this paper, we propose a new airdropped distributed mobility model (ADMM) modeling the dispersion falling of the direct shot of a cluster bomb, and we compare and analyze some representative MANET routing protocols in ADMM in ns-3 simulator. As a result of the analysis, we show OLSR routing protocol is promising in ADMM environment in the view points of packet delivery ratio (PDR), end to end delay, and jitter. In addition, we propose a new adaptation scheme for OLSR, AND-OLSR (Average Node Distance based adaptive-OLSR) to improve the original OLSR in ADMM environment. The new protocol calculates the average node distance, adapts the period of the control message based on the average node distance increasing rate. Through the simulation study, we show that the proposed AND-OLSR outperforms the original OLSR in PDR and control message overhead.

As indoor pollutants such as carbon dioxide and dust mainly affect the respiratory and circulatory systems, there is an increasing need for real-time indoor / outdoor environmental monitoring. In this paper, we have developed a real - time environmental monitoring system using the cloud-based 3G integrated environmental sensor module for environmental monitoring. A highly reliable environmental information monitoring system requires various IT technologies such as infrastructure (server, commercial software, etc.), service application software, security, and authentication. A real-time environment monitoring system based on cloud service that can provide reliable service satisfying these configuration requirements is proposed and implemented. It is expected that this system can be applied to various technologies such as indoor automatic window opening/closing system based on the Internet.

The purpose of this study is to develop a model that can systematically study the whole learning process of machine learning. Since the existing model describes the learning process with minimum coding, it can learn the progress of machine learning sequentially through the new model, and can visualize each process using the tensor flow. The new model used all of the existing model algorithms and confirmed the importance of the variables that affect the target variable, survival. The used to classification training data into training and verification, and to evaluate the performance of the model with test data. As a result of the final analysis, the ensemble techniques is the all tutorial model showed high performance, and the maximum performance of the model was improved by maximum 5.2% when compared with the existing model using. In future research, it is necessary to construct an environment in which machine learning can be learned regardless of the data preprocessing method and OS that can learn a model that is better than the existing performance.
시각장애인을 위한 스테레오 영상기반 보행환경정보안내 단말 플랫폼 개발

This paper describes a device platform which the blind can wear to keep path and to get surrounding information during their independent walking. Compared to the existing technologies, the proposed device could be used indoors and outdoors, and maps need not be provided in advance. It is composed of a glasses type device equipped with image sensors, and a portable device that analyzes sensor data for sighted guiding. RGB images and depth images are extracted to generate a walking map based on feature points. It also can cope with the risk of collision with bollard, color cone by applying vertical obstacle detection technology based on floor detection.

Recently, many changes have been made to people's life patterns as the technological advances in the ICT industry. The fusion of smart phones and various IT technologies has brought people convenience and welfare. A typical example of such fusion is the smart home. However, the existing smart home systems are difficult to be changed or extended. So we design a new smart home system with extensibility that can easily adopt legacy appliances and be scaled up. Among a variety of smart home features, this paper deals with IoT Devices that are responsible for controlling power or transmitting and receiving sensing values, IoT Gateway that connects users and consumer electronics via Internet, and Smart Home Manager that monitors and controls these components in the proposed smart home system.

In recent years, as ESS has become very popular, BMS related electric fires have occurring frequently. In this research we performed analysis of risk priority number (RPN) using Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) technique to analyze the safety of BMS, which accounts for the most part in ESS electric fires. And the functional safety concept was used to eliminate or reduce failure modes that may cause overvoltage, overcurrent, and overheating for higher risk priorities of the analyzed BMS. The BMS hardware was redesigned so that the safety mechanism works for the high-priority risk modes, and the main firmware procedures were designed to control the battery against potential malfunctions. And we implemented the improved BMS hardware and experimentally verified that the safety mechanism works as designed. The test results have confirmed that the safety mechanism works normally and the battery can be controlled even if overvoltage, overcurrent and overheating occurs in the BMS, or major firmware procedures malfunction. Therefore we are confident that electric fires related to ESS can be prevented in advance by analyzing the safety of BMS in the way we used in this research to find high-priority risk factors and applying the concept of safety functions to the hardware and software design of BMS.
광원 방향에 대한 제한조건을 이용한 Photometric Stereo Calibration

This paper proposes one method on photometric stereo calibration using the constraint on light source directions in which the light sources have the unknown tilt and slant angles but the slant angles are the same. First, the constraint is analyzed based on the equation of linear ambiguity which leads to the conclusion that another constraint should be added to solve the calibration completely. Later, the combination of constraint on light source directions and the constraint that there exists at least six surface patches having known albedos is exploited to resolve the linear ambiguity up to an accurate and close-form solution. The effective performance of the proposed method is demonstrated through experiment results.

In this paper, we propose a method for a mobile robot to estimate a specific location of a service provision target using a beacon-tag for the purpose of providing location-based services (LBS) to users in an indoor environment. To estimate the location, the irregular characteristics and error factors of the received signal strength indicator (RSSI) generated from the beacon are analyzed, and the distance conversion function is derived from the RSSI data extracted by applying a Gaussian filter. Then, the distance data converted from the plurality of beacons estimates an indoor location through a triangulation technique. After that, the improvement in the location estimation is analyzed by applying the temporal confidence reasoning technique. The possibility of providing a LBS of a mobile robot was confirmed through a location estimation experiment for a plurality of designated locations in an indoor environment.

This paper proposes a new lifetime aware buffer mapping method of a synchronous dataflow (SDF) graph on a hybrid memory system with DRAM and PRAM. Since the number of write operations on PRAM is limited, the number of written samples on PRAM is minimized to maximize the lifetime of PRAM. We improve the utilization of DRAM by mapping more buffers on DRAM through buffer sharing. The problem is formulated formally and solved by an optimal approach of an answer set programming. In experiment, the buffer mapping method with buffer sharing improves the PRAM lifetime by 63%.
