Finding Sentiment Dimension in Vector Space of Movie Reviews: An Unsupervised Approach

This study suggests an unsupervised method to find sentiment orienations of the words in Korean movie reviews. The orientations are represented as real values on a sentiment domain, which is derived from high-dimensional vector space for the movie reviews. To search for the dimension, the Pointwise Mutual Information is first used to select a set of words that are close to common modifiers; The phrases comprised of these words often form good/ bad associations (e.g., “good acting”, “terrible acting”). A neural language model (Word2Vec) is then used to calculate the point-wise similarity distances between the chosen words and, dimensionality reduction algorithms (e.g., PCA, MDS) are employed to find the axis of the sentiment orientations. Finally, the performance of our method is measured by unsupervised classification of the two movie reviews based on the orientation values. According to the results, the best accuracy achieves 66% and 76% for the two datasets.

In this study, the performance of the DPRMs is evaluated and the measurement precision for the pile driving is presented. The DPRMs is a visual-measurement system for the pile rebound and the penetration movement using a high speed line-scan camera. But the measurement errors of the DPRMs are caused by the strong impact for the pile driving. Therefore, the DPRMs should guarantee its measurement values for the pile driving. For this reason, the performance of the DPRMs by the vibration signal analysis is studied. It is found from this study that the measurement values of the DPRMs are reliable.

This study aims to develop and empirically test a research model to better understand the relationship among transformational leadership, utilization ability for computational system, work engagement, and job performance. In particular, we focus on the direct effect of utilization ability for computational system and the interaction effect between transformational leadership and utilization ability for computational system on work engagement and job performance of employees. The results indicated that transformational leadership was positively related to both work engagement and job performance. Utilization ability for computational system was also positively related to the two outcome variables. Authors then examined the moderating effect of utilization ability for computational system among transformational leadership, work engagement, and job performance. The two interaction terms had the positive impacts on the two outcome variables of the employees. In other words, the positive relationships among transformational leadership, work engagement, and job performance were stronger when the perception of employees for their own utilization ability for computational system was higher. The findings suggest comprehensive implication in information technology and leadership research field by emphasizing the importance of utilization ability for computational system in organizations.
