        비한자권 학습자를 위한 한자, 한자어 교육 연구 - 한자구형학(漢字構形學)의 적용을 중심으로

        This paper analyzed 302 beginner Chinese characters for Learners from non-Chinese Character Culture of Jang Il-kyul (2012) based on the theory of Chinese character configurational. A total of 302 direct components are 227, with more than 70% participating in the Configuration as a Ideographic component. This choice takes into account Learners from non-Chinese Character Culture beginners. However, the basic components of 302 characters includes 25 Symbolic Letters and 38 variants. The three-story, four-story Chinese characters contain 13 characters, and 57 Symbolic Letters of grade 3 and 4 that have few conformational motivations, are also included in 302 characters. The 302 characters contain difficult Chinese characters, so you have to re-select the beginner Chinese characters. Based on semantic transparency and the number of combinations, this paper has chosen Chinese characters again that fit the beginner level. After selecting 185 characters again, the Chinese character education plan for Learners from non-Chinese Character Culture beginners was proposed by applying the theory of Chinese character configuration.

        러시아의 한인 이주민 단속 정책과 그 균열 -프리아무르 주 총독 운테르베르게르 시기(1905~1910)를 중심으로-

        본 연구는 프리아무르 주 총독 운테르베르게르 시기 러시아 극동에서 실행된 한인 이주민 단속 정책이 균열했음을 밝혔다. 황화론에 기초한 단속 정책은 거주허가증 단속과 귀화자격 재심사 두 형태로 나타났다. 거주허가증이 없으면 집을 임차할 수 없었고 취업에도 제한을 받았다. 한인들은 거주허가증 발급을 늦추거나 무시하는 행동을 보이며 당국이 거주 단속 강화를 통해 의도한 황인종 유입 방지 효과를 지연시켰다. 한편 러시아 지방 당국은 한인의 귀화자격 재심사를 위해 한인 가족명부를 조사하던 중 한인의 상이한 역법, 결혼, 작명방식 등과 마주치며 어려움을 겪었다. 한인의 민족문화가 러시아의 법률제도가 충돌하고 있던 것이다. 한인들은 러시아에서 거주기간을 연장하기 위해 러시아 광산업자들과 함께 러시아 내무대신과 국가 두마 의장 등 러시아 중앙을 설득하고자 했다. 언론 활동을 통해 한인 이주민에 대한 러시아 지방 당국의 정책을 비판하고 한인의 입장을 항변하기도 했다. 친일혐의에 관해서는 민족범주로서 한인을 일본인과 명확히 구분하며 황인종의 개념에 균열을 내고자 시도했다. 이러한 일련의 대응은 한일강제병합 후 한인들이 러시아 국적취득을 통해 일본 신민화를 방어할 수 있는 단초를 사전에 마련했다는 의미를 지닌다. This paper examines the crack of the crackdown policy on Korean immigrants implemented by Priamur governor general Unterberger in the Russian Far East. The policy, which was based on the Yellow Peril, appeared in two ways: crackdown on residence permit and re-examining qualification of the naturalized. Without a residence permit, the house could not be rented and employment was restricted. Koreans delayed the issuance of residence permits or sometimes ignored them. It stalled the intended effect of preventing the inflow of yellow races by strengthening the crackdown on residence, which the Russian local authorities enforced. Meanwhile, it turned out that the Korean ethnic culture was conflicting with the Russian legal system. Russian local authorities suffered from encountering Korean calendar system, marriages, and naming system while investigating to re-examine qualifications of the naturalized. The Koreans, along with Russian mine operators with the same interests, tried to persuade the Russian central government, including the Russian Minister of Internal Affairs and Chairman of the State Duma, to extend their stay. Koreans criticized the crackdown policy through media activities. Regarding pro-Japanese charges, Koreans clearly distinguished themselves from Japanese as a ethnic category and tried to crack the concept of the yellow race. The series of these responses illustrate that they laid the groundwork in advance for defending against being Japanese subjects through the acquisition of Russian nationality.

        Written Voice in the Text: Investigating Rhetorical Patterns and Practices for English Letter Writing

        본 연구는 영어 편지 글에 나타난 자신의 표현, 수사 형태, 그리고 작문 활동을 중심으로 한국 대학생의 서면 텍스트의 특성을 살펴보는 것을 목적으로 한다. 자료로는 학생들의 영어 취업지원서를 포함하였으며, 분석을 위해 ‘목적-의지’ 모델을 채택하였다. 연구 결과, 학생들은 재설정된 상황에서 글 쓰는 이로서의 자신을 표현하기 위해 독특한 전략을 사용하였다. 취업 지원을 위한 편지 속 학생들의 표현 방법은 매우 다양하였고, 어느 누구도 날씨를 언급하는 한국식 편지 쓰기 방식을 채택하지 않았다. 수사 형태는 정형화된 형식에서 벗어나 다양성과 통합된 모습을 보여주었다. 작문 활동을 통해 학생들은 글 쓰는 이로서의 고유한 내적 가치를 보여주었으며, 이는 곧 학생들의 작문 결과가 교수자의 강의 내용과 동일한 모습으로 나타나지 않는다는 것을 의미한다. 이러한 결과는 학습은 특정 담화 공동체 내에서의 상황 활동이라는 사회 문화 이론을 뒷받침한다. 그러므로 영작문 교수자는 학생들의 삶과 학습 경험이 텍스트 속 정체성과 작문 활동에 영향을 미친다는 사실을 인지하고 지도해야 한다. This study aims at exploring features of Korean university students’ written text, focusing on the written voice, rhetorical patterns, and writing practices through English letters. The data comprised examples of students’ English job applications, and a ‘purpose-will’ model was adopted for the data analysis. The findings showed that the students used unique ways of strategies to convey their voice in a recontextualized setting. Their written voice in the job applications were various, and nobody applied the Korean convention of weather opening. Their rhetorical patterns were a transformation from convergence to divergence, showing integrated patterns of written voice. Students’ writing practices revealed their internal values of writing for a task, and they do not directly learn from the teachers syllabus. This supports the sociocultural framework that learning is a situated activity in a specific discourse community. The study concludes that writing teachers should understand that life-world and learning experience can impact on students’ written voice and practices.

        We Know What the Useful Thing Is: An Examination of Students’ Perceptions on Classroom-based Teaching for EFL Writing

          The purposes of this study are to explore firstly two teachers’ EFL writing classrooms at a university in Korea and secondly students’ perceptions on their teachers’ classroom-based teaching for EFL writing in the same social and institutional context. The classroom interactions focus on rules of processes and teaching and learning of writing. The data comprise classroom observations of two EFL writing classrooms and interviews with both teachers and students. The findings indicate that the two teachers show a big contrast in terms of their writing practices. One teacher embodied the textbook with traditional approach and adopted translation activity whereas the other teacher tried to have creative self-expression approach with the textbook and workshop activity. The students tended to adopt classroom-based writing practices that might suit their purposes or goals in learning of writing in English. The findings provide an in depth understanding of the teaching and learning of writing, the role of teachers, and students’ purposes in EFL writing classrooms. It also suggests that the teacher needs to consider students perceptions by actively talking about relevant issues.

        Dysfunction of Retinal Cell and Optic Nerve by Continuous Cerebroventricular Infusion of Glucosamine

        It has been known that excessive glucose flux through the hexosamine biosynthetic pathway and accumulation of glucosamine could reduce the neuroprotective effect of insulin or directly affect survival mechanism in retinal neurons. We have investigated the effect of glucosamine on the retinal cells by continuous infusion into the cerebroventricle, using osmotic mini-pumps to avoid peripheral effects. Continuous intra cerebroventricular (i.c.v) infusion of glucosamine at a rate of 10μⅼ/hr(0.1 ㎛ol) for 7 days resulted in morphological changes in the optic nerve at the electron microscopic level as well as morphological changes in the retina at light microscopic level. Retina was cut into 10㎛ thick on a cryostat and sections were collected on gelatin-coated slides. Retinal sections were immunostained for the morphological changes of astrocytes. GFAP immunoreactivity appeared not only in the Muller cells but also in many of the radial processes of Muller cells. The ultrathin (50 nm) transverse sections of the optic nerve (2 mm behind the eyeball) were transferred to grids and examined with an electron microscope. The optic nerve showed deformed axons and slight lamellar separation of myelin sheath after continuous infusion with glucosamine. Interestingly, vacuoles were observed in the deformed axons and retinal layers were folded and detached. These results suggest that glucosamine plays a major role in induction of morphological dysfunction in retina and optic nerves.
