Large tanβ SUSY QCD corrections to B→X_sγ

The charged-Higgs-boson contributions to the Wilson coecients C7 and C8, relevant for the decay B ! Xs , are discussed in supersymmetric models at large tan . These contributions receive two-loop O(s tan) corrections by squark-gluino subloops, which are possibly large and nondecoupling in the limit of heavy superpartners. In previous studies, the relevant two-loop Feynman integrals were approximated by using an eective two-Higgs-doublet lagrangian. However, this approximation is theoretically justied only when the typical supersymmetric scale MSUSY is suciently larger than the electroweak scale mweak (mW;mt) and the mass of the charged-Higgs boson mH. Here, we evaluate these two-loop integrals exactly and compare the results with the existing, approximated ones. We then examine the validity of this approximation beyond the region where it has been derived, i.e. for mH MSUSY and/or MSUSY mweak.

The biological and life-history parameters of the leafhopper,Matsumuratettix hiroglyphicus (Matsumura), a vector of sugarcane white leaf phytoplasma,were studied on sugarcane host plants, at different constant temperatures, in the laboratory. The results revealed no complete life cycle development at extreme lowand high temperatures of 20 °C and 38 °C, respectively. There was a significant decrease in adult longevity, and reduced developmental time from egg to adult, with increasing temperatures. Low fecundity and reduced female oviposition period occurred at high temperatures. The sex ratio of male offspring appeared to be higher with increasing temperature (30–35 °C),while, at lower temperatures (25–27 °C), the ratio of female offspring appeared to be higher. According to the obtained life-history parameters, including intrinsic rate of increase (rm), finite rate of increase (λ), and net reproductive rate (R0) (rm=0.067, λ=10.70 days, and R0=21.2), 27 °C was the optimumtemperature for M. hiroglyphicus development. The lowest temperature developmental threshold and degree-days for leafhopper development from the egg to nymph stages was 11.5 °C and 132 degree-days, and for development from egg to adult, 12.8 °C and 345 degree-days. These results provide useful information for predicting M. hiroglyphicus population growth, and thus for evaluation of related insect control programs.
DEVELOPMENT OF TWIN-CHAMBER ON-WHEEL RESONATOR FOR TIRE CAVITY NOISE

Tire cavity noise is a noise which produces reverberations. Given the ringing in the ears that it causes vehicle occupants, it has long been one of the main road noise issues. For the countermeasure against tire cavity noise, since drastic solution is still more difficult for the downstream measure against a body system with the increase of big weight, its device in the tire cavity of the countermeasure against the origin is the most effective for a light weight and drastic solution. Some reduction devices of tire cavity noise have come to be commercialized in recent years. As a commercialization example, what equipped the tire inside surface with the noise absorbing material, and the thing which equipped roadwheel with the resonator are developed. However, application of these devices is limited to some of tires and high-class vehicle types from cost restrictions, and at present, it does not result in technical generalization and has not diffused through it so much. Since the new structure which reduces weight and cost by 50 % or more was suggested towards generalization of the Helmholtz resonator technology which is a flexible device which can equip roadwheel and does not limit a tire brand and commercial production was realized, this paper introduces that theoretical background and realization structure. And this device has been successfully applied to mass-production models on the market.
