<P>This paper describes a self-alignment method whereby a mirror actuation voltage, corresponding to a specific tilting angle, is unvarying in terms of misalignment during fabrication. A deep silicon etching process is proposed to penetrate the top silicon layer (the micromirror layer) and an amorphous silicon layer (the addressing electrode layer) together, through an aluminum mask pattern, in order to minimize the misalignment effect on the micromirror actuation. The size of a fabricated mirror plate is 250 × 250 × 4 µm<SUP>3</SUP>. A pair of amorphous silicon electrodes under the mirror plate is about half the size of the mirror plate individually. Numerical analysis associated with calculating the pull-in voltage and the bonding misalignment is performed to verify the self-alignment concepts focused upon in this paper. Curves of the applied voltage versus the tilt angle of the self-aligned micromirror are observed using a position sensing detector in order to compare the measurement results with MATLAB analysis of the expected static deflections. Although a 3.7 µm misalignment is found between the mirror plate and the electrodes, in the direction perpendicular to the shallow trench of the electrodes, before the self-alignment process, the measured pull-in voltage has been found to be 103.4 V on average; this differs from the pull-in voltage of a perfectly aligned micromirror by only 0.67%. Regardless of the unpredictable misalignments in repetitive photolithography and bonding, the tilting angles corresponding to the driving voltages are proved to be uniform along the single axis as well as conform to the results of analytical analysis.</P>
Inhibitory actions of the antidepressant/antipanic drug phenelzine on brain GABA transaminase

Brain GABA transaminase is inactivated by preincubation with antidepressant/antipanic drug pheneizine (${\beta}$ethylphenylhydrazine) (mixing molar ratio 10:1) at pH 7.4. The reaction of enzyme with phenelzine was monitored by absorption and fluorescence spectroscopic methods. The inactive enzyme was fully reconstituted by addition of cofactor pyridoxal-5-phosphate. This result implies that the blocking of 1 mol of pyridoxal-5-phosphate per enzyme dimer is needed for inactivation of the enzyme. The time course of the reaction is significantly affected by the substrate .alpha.-ketoglutarate, which afforded complete protection against the loss of catalytic activity. The kinetic studies shows that phenelzine reacts with the cofactor of enzyme with a second-order rate constant of $2.1{\times}10^3M^{-1}s^{-1}$. It is postulated that the antidepressant/antipanic drug phenelzine is able to elevate the neurotransmitter GABA levels in central nervous system by inhibitory action on GABA degradative enzyme GABA transaminase.
MEMS micromirror characterization in space environments

<P>This paper describes MEMS micromirror characterization in space environments associated with our space applications in earth observation from the International Space Station and earth's orbit satellite. The performance of the micromirror was tested for shock and vibration, stiction, outgassing from depressurization and heating, and electrostatic charging effects. We demonstrated that there is no degradation of the micromirror performance after the space environment tests. A test bed instrument equipped with the micromirrors was delivered and tested in the ISS. The results demonstrate that the proposed micromirrors are suitable for optical space systems.</P>

<P>This paper describes the design, fabrication and testing of a one-axis micromirror in order to suppress the electric charging problem related to its actuation. The electrostatically-actuated torsional micromirror is of the parallel-plate type. Since the dielectric around the electrodes below the mirror plates is highly exposed, we installed gold shields in the floating state around the electrodes, so as to cover the exposed dielectric surface. The gold shields played a leading role in limiting the electric field between the electrodes. This effect was characterized and the tilting angle stability was measured by observing the micromirror performance with and without the floating field-limiting shields. Drift measurements of these two types of micromirrors were made using a position-sensing detector (PSD). The micromirror with the field-limiting shields, namely micromirror type A, showed a tilting angle drift of 0.005° at 83% of the pull-in voltage, while a tilting angle drift of 0.5° was measured at the same percentage of the pull-in voltage for the micromirror without the field-limiting shields, namely micromirror type B. At 97.7% of the pull-in voltage, the pull-in phenomenon occurred after 220 s for micromirror type B due to the charging effect. On the other hand, micromirror type A showed no pull-in phenomena with elapsed time at a bias of 97.7% of the pull-in voltage due to the resolution of the charging effect.</P>
이중나선구조 모형을 통해 본 기업의 진화과정 : 기아자동차 인도 공장 사례를 중심으로

본 연구의 목적은 인도에 진출한 기아자동차의 사례를 통해서 당시 어떠한 배경으로 인도 진출을 계획 및 실행했으며, 이중나선구조 모형을 기초로 어떤 비즈니스 아키텍처 특징을 보이는가에 대하여 살펴보고자 하였다. 연구를 위하여 인도 현지 근무인원을 대상으로 인터뷰를 진행하였고, 2차 자료 추가 조사를 통하여 분석을 진행하였으며, 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 첫째, 기아자동차 인도 공장 진출은 순수 인도시장만을 위한 시장개발형 해외생산 이라는 목적으로 이루어졌다. 둘째, 기아자동차는 가장 강점인 모델을 시장트렌트에 맞춰 출시하여 성공적인 시장 진입을 하였다. 셋째, 그들은 폐쇄적 모듈화와 공급업체 동반 진출이라는 현대자동차그룹의 공급사슬 구조를 차용하였다. The aim of this paper is to examine the investment motivation of Kia motor in India, uncover its background and identify its business architecture based on double helix model. To achieve the objective, we undertook a semi-structured interview with employees working at Kia motor in India and also analyzed secondary literature to complement the interview. From those investigations, we reached the following conclusions. First, Kia motor in India tried to target the Indian local market per se (i.e., it is not an export platform), and thus it has a market-seeking motivation. Second, Kia motor could accomplish a successful market penetration because it complied a market trend in the country. Third, the firm adopted Hyundai motor’s typical strategy, which is both closed modularity and joint market expansion with suppliers.
Design and Fabrication of Self-aligned Parallel-plate Type Micromirror Array

We present an one-axis parallel-plate type of bulk micromachined torsional micromirror array with single crystalline silicon (SCS) fabricated on the glass substrate. Structurally, bottom electrodes (amophous silicon) in this mirror are DRIEed along the aluminum mirror patterns on SCS, which are self-aligned with mirror plates. Tracing the history of the micromirror study, we found that few papers have been published on research for uniform driving voltages based upon the tilting direction. If there is a slight misalignment during anodic bonding between top (mirror plate) and bottom electrodes, the non-uniformity of driving voltage will be led depending on two different tilting direction. This paper discusses how much the pull-in voltages can be different due to misalignment between two electrodes. Moreover, We achieve uniform pull-in voltage regardless of misalignments in photolithography and anodic-bonding between two individual layers.
특화지역 분석을 통한 권역별 특화사업 활성화 방안에 관한 연구

The purpose of this study was to assume suitable cultivation areas by items and expectably suitable cultivation areas through coefficient of specialization and spatial concentration analysis, and suggested regional specialized items discovered by this research and regional specialized business management plans & development directions. This study has monitored changing aspects of spatial distribution of suitable cultivation areas in stockbreeding items from 2000 to 2010 by applying methods of location quotient(LQ), a multiple model, and etc, and predicted changing aspects of suitable cultivation areas from 2015 to 2020. As the result of analysis, I found that there were specialized items which were spatially concentrated and that there were hot-spots which were focused on some areas by items. Additionally, there were suitable cultivation areas which remained stable or changed by them. To discover specialized items and to develop businesses, I have suggested that it is necessary to ensure business project’s feasibility including the present conditions, circumstances & potential of specialized items, and etc., and to secure business competitiveness including technology exchange, production cost curtailment, business management based on consumer’s needs and building systematic data about achievement and etc..

Background: The aim of our study was to evaluate the “diagnosis changed” rate in patients notified as tuberculosis (TB) on the Korean TB surveillance system (KTBS). Methods: A total of 1,273 patients notified as TB cases on the KTBS in one private tertiary hospital in 2011 were enrolled in the present study. Patients were classified into three groups: “diagnosis maintained”, “diagnosis changed” (initially notified as TB, but ultimately diagnosed as non-TB), and “administrative error” (notified as TB due to administrative errors). Results: Excluding 17 patients in the “administrative error” group, the “diagnosis maintained” and “diagnosis changed” groups included 1,097 (87.3%) and 159 patients (12.7%), respectively. Common causes of “diagnosis changed” were nontuberculous mycobacterial (NTM) disease (51.7%, 61/118), and pneumonia (17.8%) in cases notified as pulmonary TB, and meningitis (19.5%, 8/41) and Crohn`s disease (12.2%) in cases notified as extrapulmonary TB. Being older than 35 years of age (odds ratio [OR], 2.18) and a positive acid-fast bacilli stain (OR, 1.58) were positive predictors and a TB-related radiological finding (OR, 0.42) was a negative predictor for a “diagnosis changed” result via multivariate logistic regression analysis in pulmonary TB cases. Conclusion: Because of a high “diagnosis changed” rate in TB notifications to the KTBS, the TB incidence rate measured by the KTBS may be overestimated. Considering the worldwide trend toward increased NTM disease, the “diagnosis changed” rate may increase over time. Thus, when reporting the annual TB notification rate in Korea, the exclusion of “diagnosis changed” cases is desirable.
