Flood has become the main hidden threat to the safety of the karst tunnel. Scientific and reasonable flood classification assessment and prevention measures have also become the main problems to be solved urgently in the construction and operation of tunnels. Aiming at the problems of multiple influencing factors, complex index systems, and linear processing of the connection degree of set pair analysis, a set pair cloud model based on cloud theory eigenvalues is proposed to optimize the connection degree of set pair analysis. Regarding the uncertainty of the evaluation system and the ambiguity of the evaluation grade boundary, firstly, the ridge-type membership function is used to determine the basic probability distribution of each measured index. Secondly, the distance discrimination weighting theory based on the index distance is also established, so that each measured index can assign the dynamic weight of the evaluation system. It can comprehensively determine the weight of the cloud connection degree for the system, and draw the cloud level diagram to determine the tunnel flood risk level. Finally, the proposed model is verified with tunnel flood. The results show that the evaluation results are consistent with other evaluation models and actual tunnel conditions. This model can provide guidance for flood prediction and prevention in karst tunnels.
A Data Transmission Method for Resource Monitoring under Cloud Computing Environment

Currently, the combined push-pull model is usually applied in the resource monitoring under cloud computing environment. However, the quantity of data gathered by the producers is much less than those received by the monitor so that a lot of resource is wasted. In order to maintain the data consistency of real time system, an improved adaptive algorithm based on combined push-pull model is proposed. The adaptive strategy is added on the producers that aims to predict when refreshes data came from the monitor using the history data. Experimental result shows that the algorithm can decrease the resource consumption while exchanging data effectively.

In this work, the thermodynamic properties of the quaternary electrolyte system (KCl/CsCl + NaCl + CH3OH + H2O) were investigated by potentiometric method. The experimental data were interpreted by using the Pitzer model and the Harned rule. The Pitzer mixing interaction parameters (uK/Cs–Na, cK/Cs–Na–Cl) for each system were also evaluated according to multiple linear regression technique. Furthermore, the mean activity coefficients of KCl/CsCl and NaCl, the osmotic coefficients and the excess Gibbs free energy for the mixed electrolyte system were obtained, respectively.

Ceratovacuna atrovirensa Qiao sp.n., a woolly aphid on Indocalamus tessellatus from China, is described and illustrated. The new species is supported by both morphological and molecular data. An updated key to apterous viviparous females of Ceratovacuna is provided. The type specimens are deposited in the National Zoological Museum of China, Institute of Zoology, the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing, China and the Natural History Museum, London, United Kingdom.

<P>Regioregular pentacene-containing polymers were synthesized with alkylated bithiophene (<B>BT</B>) and cyclopentadithiophene (<B>CPDT</B>) as comonomers. Among them, 2,9-conjugated polymers <B>PnBT-2,9</B> and <B>PnCPDT-2,9</B> achieved the best performance in transistor and photovoltaic devices respectively. The former achieved the most highly ordered structures in thin films, yielding ambipolar transistor behavior with hole and electron mobilities up to 0.03 and 0.02 cm<SUP>2</SUP> V<SUP>−1</SUP> s<SUP>−1</SUP> on octadecylsilane-treated substrates. The latter achieved photovoltaic power conversion efficiencies up to 0.33%. The impact of regioregularity and direction of conjugation-extension (2,9 <I>vs.</I> 2,10), on thin-film order and device performance has been demonstrated for the pentacene-containing polymers for the first time, providing insight towards future functional material design.</P> <P>Graphic Abstract</P><P>Regioregular pentacene-bithiophene-based polymers exhibit disparate solid-state packing and field-effect transistor performance, with the 2,9-conjugation-extended polymer showing the highest molecular order and hole mobility. <IMG SRC='http://pubs.rsc.org/services/images/RSCpubs.ePlatform.Service.FreeContent.ImageService.svc/ImageService/image/GA?id=c2jm15483h'> </P>
Utilization of Potato Starch Processing Wastes to Produce Animal Feed with High Lysine Content

This work aims to utilize wastes from the potato starch industry to produce single-cell protein (SCP) with high lysine content as animal feed. In this work, S-(2-aminoethyl)-L-cysteine hydrochloride-resistant Bacillus pumilus E1 was used to produce SCP with high lysine content, whereas Aspergillus niger was used to degrade cellulose biomass and Candida utilis was used to improve the smell and palatability of the feed. An orthogonal design was used to optimize the process of fermentation for maximal lysine content. The optimum fermentation conditions were as follows: temperature of 40°C, substrate concentration of 3%, and natural pH of about 7.0. For unsterilized potato starch wastes, the microbial communities in the fermentation process were determined by terminal restriction fragment length polymorphism analysis of bacterial 16S rRNA genes. Results showed that the dominant population was Bacillus sp. The protein quality as well as the amino acid profile of the final product was found to be significantly higher compared with the untreated waste product at day 0. Additionally, acute toxicity test showed that the SCP product was non-toxic, indicating that it can be used for commercial processing.

Significant tension-compression (T–C) yield asymmetry in common wrought Mg alloys hinders their widespread applications. A double extrusion process with variable speed and partially substituted yttrium (Y) (2 wt%) for Sn was proposed to improvethe T–C asymmetry of Mg–2.5Sn (wt%) alloy, and then to explore the critical grain size parameter for T–C symmetry. Theresult showed that the individual double extrusion or partial substitution of Sn by Y slightly refined the grains of Mg–2.5Snalloy (from ~ 42.5 μm to 35.5 μm and 31.2 μm, respectively), along with the improved T–C asymmetry (CYS/TYS) from0.44 to 0.51 and 0.75, respectively. When combining the above two factors, the double-extruded Mg–Sn–Y alloys obtainedfine grains with ~ 8.8 μm and gained a T–C yield symmetry (CYS/TYS = 1.01). By tailoring the extrusion speed from theprevious 1.2 mm/s to 2 mm/s, the grain size of double-extruded Mg–Sn–Y further deduced to ~ 5.6 μm and turned to be areversed T–C asymmetry (CYS/TYS) of 1.37. The refined grain size combined with weakened texture led to a decreasedactivation or even inhibition of tension twinning and increased activation of non-basal slip, which might be the main reasonfor the improved or even reversed T–C asymmetry in double-extruded Mg–0.5Sn–2Y.

In this paper, we construct a nonparametric M-estimator of a regression function for a left truncated model when the data exhibit some kind of dependence. It is assumed that the observations form a stationary α-mixing sequence. Under appropriate assumptions, we establish weak and strong consistency of the estimator as well as its asymptotic normality. Finite sample behavior of the estimators shows that the M-estimator is more robust than the Nadaraya–Watson type estimator.
