        The information-based age will emerge according to the advancement of the whole society, change from distribution revolution to distribution information revolution has a meaning to facilitate innovation. Such distribution revolution starting with a purpose to provide various goods and competitive price for customers when real mass production, consumption appeared, finally has got to cope with the age of great transition. Distribution of informationalization helps the effectiveness of the whole distribution system by creating information network using various information function, human resources at each stage from to manufacture industry based on customer information. This paper aims to check these conditions, attempt theoretical approaches through existing literature and precedent studies, review application cases currently introduced and enforced, and clarify the fundamental framework of distribution information system available at the distribution information system in our country using the cases of advanced distribution companies. Accordingly, it examined the basic system of bar code, POS and VAN/EDI to be basis in the construction of distribution information system, compared the construction plan through advanced distribution companies and reviewed its direction, furthermore investigated mainly its application system, SCM, ECR/QR and the direction of our country's distribution information system. The limitation of this paper lies with that correct verification in the introduction and utilization of enterprises' distribution system was not performed because it was carried out through consideration by literature. For the time to come, research will be continuously conducted taking into consideration the linkage of our country's distribution information system in growing stage with that of the advanced countries in stable stage.

        3-D finite element analysis for thermo-mechanical behavior of laminated carbon-phenolic composite ring

        In this paper, the thermal insulator structure of a real rocket which is fabricated in a way that laminated composite rings are connected in series is analyzed using 3-dimensional axisymmetric finite element models. Simulation of cowl zone using real operating conditions provides that the stress distribution in the laminated composite ring is largely influenced by ply-angles, axial dimensions, and boundary conditions. It is hypothesized that notably the ply-lift that is the precursor to the wedge-out occurs in the ring-to-ring bonding region to a limited ply angle. Moreover, it is suggested that the wedge-out is dropped out due to the maximum shear stress in a fixed ply-angle direction and the axial compressive stress.

        Characteristics and Outcomes of Patients with Pulmonary Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome Infected with Influenza versus Other Respiratory Viruses

        Background: Although the frequency of respiratory viral infection in patients with pulmonary acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) is not uncommon, clinical significance of the condition remains to be further elucidated. The purpose of this study was to compare characteristics and outcomes of patients with pulmonary ARDS infected with influenza and other respiratory viruses. Methods: Clinical data of patients with pulmonary ARDS infected with respiratory viruses January 2014-June 2018 were reviewed. Respiratory viral infection was identified by multiplex reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR). Results: Among 126 patients who underwent multiplex RT-PCR, respiratory viral infection was identified in 46% (58/126): 28 patients with influenza and 30 patients with other respiratory viruses. There was no significant difference in baseline and clinical characteristics between patients with influenza and those with other respiratory viruses. The use of extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) was more frequent in patients with influenza than in those with other respiratory viruses (32.1% vs 3.3%, p=0.006). Co-bacterial pathogens were more frequently isolated from respiratory samples of patients with pulmonary ARDS infected with influenza virus than those with other respiratory viruses. (53.6% vs 26.7%, p=0.036). There were no significant differences regarding clinical outcomes. In multivariate analysis, acute physiology and chronic health evaluation II was associated with 30-mortality (odds ratio, 1.158; 95% confidence interval, 1.022-1.312; p=0.022). Conclusion: Respiratory viral infection was not uncommon in patients with pulmonary ARDS. Influenza virus was most commonly identified and was associated with more co-bacterial infection and ECMO therapy.

        Plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposition(PECVD) is a well established technique for the deposition of hydrogenated film of silicon nitride (SiNx:H), which is commonly used as an antireflection coating as well as passivating layer in crystalline silicon solar cell. PECVD-SiNx:H films were investigated by varying the deposition and annealing conditions to optimize for the application in silicon solar cells. By varying the gas ratio (ammonia to silane), the silicon nitride films of refractive indices 1.85 - 2.45 were obtained. The film deposited at $450^{\circ}C$ showed the best carrier lifetime through the film deposition rate was not encouraging. The film deposited with the gas ratio of 0.57 showed the best carrier lifetime after annealing at a temperature of $800^{\circ}C$. The single crystalline silicon solar cells fabricated in conventional industrial production line applying the optimized film deposition and annealing conditions on large area substrate of size $125mm{\times}125mm$ (pseudo square) was found to have the conversion efficiencies as high as 17.05 %. Low cost and high efficiency silicon solar cells fabrication sequence has also been explained in this paper.

      • Artificial Synaptic Emulators Based on MoS<sub>2</sub> Flash Memory Devices with Double Floating Gates

        <P>We fabricated MoS<SUB>2</SUB>-based flash memory devices by stacking MoS<SUB>2</SUB> and hexagonal boron nitride (hBN) layers on an hBN/Au substrate and demonstrated that these devices can emulate various biological synaptic functions, including potentiation and depression processes, spike-rate-dependent plasticity, and spike-timing dependent plasticity. In particular, compared to a flash memory device prepared on an hBN substrate, the device fabricated on the hBN/Au exhibited considerably more symmetric and linear bidirectional gradual conductance change curves, which may be attributed to the device structure incorporating double floating gate. For the device on the hBN/Au, electron transfers may occur between the floating gate MoS<SUB>2</SUB> and Au, as well as between the floating gate MoS<SUB>2</SUB> and the channel MoS<SUB>2</SUB>, allowing for more control over electron tunneling and injection. To test our hypothesis, we also fabricated a MoS<SUB>2</SUB>-based flash memory device on an hBN/Pd substrate and found behavior similar to the device fabricated on hBN/Au. Our results demonstrate that flexible synaptic electronics may be implemented using MoS<SUB>2</SUB>-based flash memory devices with double floating gates.</P> [FIG OMISSION]</BR>

        Multicenter retrospective analysis of patients with chronic lymphocytic leukemia in Korea

        Background Chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) is the most common type of adult leukemia in Western countries but is rare in the East Asian countries. Due to its rarity and the lack of feasible novel agents and laboratory prognostic tools, there are limited data on the clinical outcomes of this disease in Asia. To clarify the current treatment status, we performed a multicenter retrospective analysis of patients with CLL in Korea. Methods The medical records of 192 eligible patients between 2008 and 2019 were reviewed for clinical characteristics, treatment courses, and outcomes. The first-line treatment regimens of the patients included in this analysis were as follows: fludarabine/cyclophosphamide/ rituximab (FCR) (N=117, 52.7%), obinutuzumab plus chlorambucil (GC) (N=30, 13.5%), and chlorambucil monotherapy (N=24, 10.8%). Results The median progression-free survival (PFS) was 55.6 months, and the average 2-year PFS rate was 80.3%. PFS was not significantly different between the patients receiving FCR and those receiving GC; however, chlorambucil treatment was associated with significantly inferior PFS (P <0.001). The median overall survival was 136.3 months, and the average 5- and 10-year OS rates were 82.0% and 57.4%, respectively. Conclusion This is one of the largest studies involving Korean patients with CLL. Although the patients had been treated with less favored treatment regimens, the outcomes were not different from those reported in Western studies.

        Association of Heart Rate Variability with the Framingham Risk Score in Healthy Adults

        <P><B>Background</B></P><P>The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between heart rate variability (HRV), the Framingham risk score (FRS), and the 10-year risk of coronary heart disease (CHD) development among Korean adults.</P><P><B>Methods</B></P><P>The subjects were 85 healthy Korean adults recruited from a health check-up center. The FRS and 10-year risk of CHD development were calculated.</P><P><B>Results</B></P><P>The FRS in men was inversely correlated with the standard deviation of all normal to normal RR-intervals (SDNN); the root mean square successive difference (RMSSD); the percentage of successive normal cardiac inter-beat intervals greater than 20 ms, 30 ms, and 50 ms (pNN20, pNN30, pNN50); the low frequency (LF); and the high frequency (HF) (P < 0.05). There was no significant relationship between the FRS and HRV in women. Overall, in the receiver operating characteristic (ROC) analysis, the RMSSD, HF, SDNN, LF, LF/HF ratio, and pNN30 predicted an increased 10-year CHD risk. After adjusting for sex and body mass index, those with greater than one standard deviation in the RMSSD, HF, and LF had a 52-59% reduction in their 10-year risk of CHD development ≥ 10%.</P><P><B>Conclusion</B></P><P>This study therefore indicates that the HRV indices, particularly SDNN, RMSSD, pNN30, LF, and HF may be useful parameters for the assessment of CHD risk. Most notably, the usefulness of these HRV measures as indicators for CHD risk evaluation may be greater among men than among women.</P>

        Implementation and Validation of a Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry Method for Pristanic Acid and Phytanic Acid Quantification in Plasma Specimens

        We validated a gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) method for quantifying pristanic acid (PrA) and phytanic acid (PhA) in plasma specimens. We developed a GC-MS method based on the analysis of 20 μM 2H3-pristanic acid (PrA-IS) and 80 μM 2H3-phytanic acid (PhA-IS) as internal standards. The GC-MS was fitted with a 30 m×0.25 mm×0.25 μm HP-5MS (Agilent, USA) column. The mass spectrometer was operated through the transitions from the precursor to the product ions (m/z [mass-to-charge ratio] 355, 369, 358, and 372 for PrA, PhA, PrA-IS, and PhA-IS, respectively). The retention times of PrA, PhA, PrA-IS, and PhA-IS were 19.33, 20.39, 19.31, and 20.38 minutes in a 26.83-minute analysis, respectively. Linearity, recovery, precision, and carryover were evaluated to validate the method. The GC-MS method yielded a linear response from 0.032 to 9.951 μmol/L for PrA (R 2=0.9999) and from 0.127 to 39.432 μmol/L for PhA (R 2=0.9998). The limits of quantification by the methods were 0.032 μmol/L for PrA and 0.127 μmol/L for PhA. The recovery of PrA and PhA GC-MS method measurements were within ±10% when evaluated with external quality assessment materials. The within-batch and total coefficients of variation were all below 6% for both PrA and PhA test results. Twenty-interday imprecision (%) were all below 5% for both PrA and PhA test results. Carry-over was found to be 0.001% for PrA and –0.008% for PhA. The GC-MS PrA and PhA assay showed adequate recovery, precision, sensitivity, and linearity. Hence, it is suitable for routine clinical work.

      • Dual-colour generation from layered colloidal photonic crystals harnessing “core hatching” in double emulsions

        <P>Colloidal photonic crystals (CPCs), which possess intrinsic colourization characteristics due to their internal periodic structure, have been extensively exploited for various optical applications. However, conventional droplet-based synthesis of CPCs has shown simple structure and mono-colour generating properties since they generally require a protective shell as the outermost confining layer, and the lattice spacing inside the CPCs is invariantly determined, which hinders further tunability for structural and optically responsive properties. To enhance the tunability for structural and optically responsive properties of CPCs, here, we present a means to induce a spontaneous core-hatching process of selectively removing the CPC-encapsulating oil layer in double emulsion droplets by harnessing interfacial instability. By virtue of the reinforced interconnectivity between colloidal polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP)-decorated polystyrene (PS) nanoparticles, isolated CPCs can retain their structural integrity even without a protective outer shell. As a result, the hatched CPCs can be further re-ordered into a core-shell-like structure having dual internal spacings and dual-colour generation properties. PVP chains decorated on the PS nanoparticles dictate the lattice spacing not only through solvent swelling but also by imparting structural stability <I>via</I> formation of hydrogen bonds. Furthermore, the degree of hatching of CPCs can be modulated to either core-shell-like CPCs (complete hatching) or Janus-like CPCs (partial hatching). Therefore, the work presented here offers a new approach to create uniquely structured and multicoloured CPCs with stimulus responsiveness while fully utilizing the advantages of the double emulsion templating method.</P>
