The formation mechanisms for two carbides with co-existence and increasing stacking faults nearby the carbides duringsurfacing welding were investigated in this study. The results indicated that the surfacing layer had a two-phase structure ofa matrix phase and a second phase, the density of the second phase was relatively small and the second phase was discontinuous,by contrast with the as-received welding wire. Relatively uniform microstructure of surfacing layer and the weldinginterface without melting of base metal were obtained, resulting in an inapparent change in the microhardness. A few carbideswith blocky shape were identified in the surfacing layer. The mechanisms for (Cr,Co)23C6 of face-centered cubic crystalstructure co-existing with (Cr,Co)7C3 of hexagonal close-packed crystal structure and (Cr,Co)23C6 subsequently forming closeto the pre-formed (Cr,Co)7C3 during the cooling process were discussed in alloying element, calculated equilibrium phasediagram, Gibbs energy, etc. The relatively higher density of the stacking fault present around the carbides was understoodfrom forming energy of stacking faults.
Why is the number of superplumes so limited?

Numerical simulation shows that the hot plumescan be formed by the self-accelerated process if local thermal per-turbation is present. Since the local thermal perturbation mayexist extensively near the CMB and the transition zone around670 km, the number of the hot plumes should be great. The coldplume seems to be originated by the subduction slabs. Because thesubduction belts distribute extensively on the Earths surface, thenumber of the cold plume should be also great. However, theobserved number of the superplumes is much less than the sup-posed ones. A simple 2D model of whole mantle convection isdesigned to investigate the interaction between plumes and ther-mal anomalies. The hot thermal anomalies (HTA) are imposed atCMB and a depth of about 670 km discontinuity, corresponding totwo plausible locations of the hot plumes origination. And, the coldthermal anomalies (CTA) are imposed near the surface and670 km discontinuity, corresponding to the subducted slabs andpossible accumulation of slabs at 670 km discontinuity. Thenumerical results show that the fixed HTA does not originate anew plume. It draws the hot plume to move towards itself and sta-bilizes the plume at its own position. The imposed free HTA movestowards the hot plume, and finally merge with the plume. The sit-uation for the CTA is similar to that for the hot one. From thenumerical results, we can reach the following conclusions. It isvery dificult for the HTA/CTA to originate a new hot/cold plumein a convective flow field. The boundary instability is suppressedby the developed plumes. Instead of originating new hot/coldplumes, the HTA/CTA interact with the plumes to form hugesuperplumes. This might be one reason for the question, why thenumber of the superplumes is so limited.
Investment Value of an Internet Company in China: A Case Study of Tencent Holdings Company

Purpose - Traditional industries can usually be estimated and analyzed from multiple angles, such as the balance sheet. However, the proportion of other intangible assets in valuations is high and cannot be reflected in the balance sheet in Internet companies. Therefore, through various valuation methods to study and evaluate the investment value of the stock of Internet industry listed companies, finding heavily investing listed companies in the Internet industry has important practical significance. Design/Methodology/Approach - Starting from the theory of value investment, combined with financial analysis methods and valuation analysis methods, the study analyzes the company’s business, finances, and valuation to achieve the purpose of correcting the company’s stock investment. Findings - The value of Tencent, which we calculated through the PE valuation method and the branch valuation method, is close to the average stock price of Tencent in the past years, indicating that in the long run, the market is relatively rational. The value of the current stock price is lower than our valuation, explaining that the current market price is at a relatively underestimated level, and it has certain investment value. Research Implications - This study adopts the PE and the branch valuation methods, making the stock value research method more objective, more scientific, and rigorous to help investors maximize information effectiveness, and make rational judgments to find investment opportunities or investment risks earlier.

Background: Preoperative 5-fluorouracil (5-FU)-based chemoradiotherapy is a standard treatment for locally advanced colorectal cancer (CRC). However, CRC cells often develop chemoradiation resistance (CRR). Recent studies have shown that long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) plays critical roles in a myriad of biological processes and human diseases, as well as chemotherapy resistance. Since the roles of lncRNAs in 5-FU-based CRR in human CRC cells remain unknown, they were investigated in this study. Materials and Methods: A 5-FU-based concurrent CRR cell model was established using human CRC cell line HCT116. Microarray expression profiling of lncRNAs and mRNAs was undertaken in parental HCT116 and 5-FU-based CRR cell lines. Results: In total, 2,662 differentially expressed lncRNAs and 2,398 mRNAs were identified in 5-FU-based CRR HCT116 cells when compared with those in parental HCT116. Moreover, 6 lncRNAs and 6 mRNAs found to be differentially expressed were validated by quantitative real time PCR (qRT-PCR). Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG) pathway analysis for the differentially expressed mRNAs indicated involvement of many, such as Jak-STAT, PI3K-Akt and NF-kappa B signaling pathways. To better understand the molecular basis of 5-FU-based CRR in CRC cells, correlated expression networks were constructed based on 8 intergenic lncRNAs and their nearby coding genes. Conclusions: Changes in lncRNA expression are involved in 5-FU-based CRR in CRC cells. These findings may provide novel insight for the prognosis and prediction of response to therapy in CRC patients.

The falling offs of building decorative layers (BDLs) on exterior walls are quite common, especially in Asia, which presents great concerns to human safety and properties. Presently, there is no effective technique to detect the debonding of the exterior finish because debonding are hidden defect. In this study, the debonding defect identification method of building decoration layers via UAV-thermography and deep learning is proposed. Firstly, the temperature field characteristics of debonding defects are tested and analyzed, showing that it is feasible to identify the debonding of BDLs based on UAV. Then, a debonding defect recognition and quantification method combining CenterNet (Point Network) and fuzzy clustering is proposed. Further, the actual area of debonding defect is quantified through the optical imaging principle using the real-time measured distance. Finally, a case study of the old teaching-building inspection is carried out to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method, showing that the proposed model performs well with an accuracy above 90%, which is valuable to the society.

Reducing residual deformation of shear links and enhancing structural self-centering performance are two eff ective strategies to optimize the seismic resilience of Y-eccentrically braced frames. Based on the aforementioned concepts, a novel selfcentering Y-eccentrically braced frame structure which composing of self-centering joints and slip connection shear link was introduced in this study. Firstly, a design methodology for the slip connection shear link and anticipated mechanical properties of the novel structure were proposed through theoretical analyses. Subsequently, fi nite element models were established based on previous experimental data to investigate the lateral load behavior of the novel structure by comparing it with a conventional structure. The results indicate that when possessing suffi cient lateral load capacity and energy dissipation capacity, the novel structure exhibits exceptional self-centering performance. Finally, the energy dissipation and self-centering mechanism were obtained by conducting stress analysis on substructures under various seismic conditions. The analysis results indicate that the slip connection mechanism eff ectively mitigates relative displacement and damage to shear links, restricts frame damage, and enhances structural self-centering performance when combined with self-centering joints.
