This paper takes an interpretive investigation of Q 112 (sūrah al-ikhlaṣ) with a particular reference to the widespread anti-Christian sentiment among Muslims. More specifically, this paper attempts to answer the question of how the sūrah incorporates the idea of the anti-Christian polemic in regards to“altawhīd (Islamic monotheism) versus Trinitarian monotheism”. By examining both the modern revisionist approach and the Muslim traditional approach to the Qur’an, the author provides readers with a clear-cut comparison between the various interpretations of the holy text. This excerpt further asserts that sūrah al-ikhlaṣ itself may not contain substantial textual evidence to explicitly prove the soundness of the doctrine of al-tawhīd. This was an outcome of the insertion of the deep-rooted anti-Christian sentiment into the traditional interpretations of sūrah al-ikhlaṣ which ultimately produced weak arguments to confirm the sanctity of the al-tawhīd.
타종교에 대한 두 접근법 (비교종교학적 및 종교신학적 접근)에 대한 선교학적 고찰

Two major approaches have been utilized for the study of religions: comparative studies of religions and biblical-theological studies of religions. These two approaches have merits and usefulness for its own unique purposes, but one must not be confused to mix the two for the evangelistic efforts of Christian missions. In specific, one must take note of the subtle dangers and pitfalls from misusing comparative approaches to other religions in missiological studies. Recently new methods or approaches of Muslim evangelism have been proposed under the name of contextualization. Some of these proposals are based on the assumption that there is a significant number of positive features in Islam or many similarities between Islam and Christianity that can provide important ground for exploring better grounds for presenting the gospel to Muslims. While pursuing this line of reasoning to an extreme, some have reached a conclusion that the religion of Islam can be understood in a new perspective. Others even tried to redefine Islam in an unconventional way. One such example is found in the writings of the Insider Movement proponents. This article identifies the unique contributions of the two major approaches of other religions, and contends that the evangelical theological studies of religions based on a sound biblical theology must be the primary ground for dealing with other religions (including Islam) for the Christian missions. It also demonstrates that how the Insider Movement proponents mixed the two approaches in their missiological thinking in their attempts to validate the Insider Movement. Their fundamental errors are proved to be faulty hermeneutical conclusions for certain biblical passages primarily because of two reasons: due to the lack of sound hermeneutical method and due to the lack of sound theology of religions based on healthy evangelical biblical theology.
A Media Access Control for Spatial Reuse in Wireless Ad hoc Networks

무선 Ad hoc 네트워크에 지향성 안테나를 사용함으로써 간섭의 영향 감소, 공간재이용(spatial reuse) 증가, 그리고 통신용량 증가 등의 장점을 실현할 수 있다. 그러나 기존의 IEEE 802.11 MAC 프로토콜은 무지 향성 안테나를 고려하여 설계되었기 때문에 기존의 MAC 프로토콜을 지향성 안테나를 탑재한 무선 Ad hoc 네트워크에 적용할 경우 그 장점을 효율적으로 제공할 수 없다. 본 논문에서는 최적의 공간재이용을 통한 성능향상을 달성하기 위한 MAC 프로토콜을 제안하였으며, 시뮬레이션을 통하여 기존의 MAC과 통신효율과 종단간 지연을 비교하였다. Using directional antenna in wireless network can offer many advantages including significant decrease of interference, increase of spatial reuse and possibility of improving network capacity. However, existing 802.11 MAC is designed for use of omni-directional antenna then those advantages can not be shown in that MAC protocol when it uses directional antenna. In this paper, we present a MAC protocol specifically designed for directional antenna to achieve spatial reuse and improve capacity of MAC protocol. Simulation result shows the advantages of our proposal in comparison with existing MAC in terms of end-to-end delay and network throughput.
Delay and Energy-Aware Routing Algorithm For Energy-Constrained Wireless Networks

무선 Ad-hoc 네트워크에서의 배터리 고갈에 의해 발생하는 노드 실패는 네트워크 전체의 성능에도 큰 영향을 미치므로 에너지소비를 고려한 라우팅 알고리즘은 매우 중요하다. 본 논문에는 전송 시 노드에 의한 에너지 소비뿐만 아니라 노드의 잔여 에너지와 경로 재설정 시 소요되는 지연까지도 고려한 라우팅 (DEAR; Delay and Energy-Aware Routing) 알고리즘을 제안하였다. 성능분석 결과 DEAR알고리즘은 충분한 잔여 에너지를 보유한 노드로 경로를 설정함으로써 에너지 비율에 따라 균형 있게 에너지를 소비할 수 있었다. Wireless Ad-hoc networks may contain nodes of various types of which many can have limited power capabilities. A failure of a node due to energy exhaustion may impact the performance of the whole network hence, energy must be conserved. In this paper, we propose a Delay and Energy-Aware Routing (DEAR) algorithm a multiple metric path cost routing algorithm which considers not only the energy consumed by the node during transmission and reception but as well as the residual energy of the node and the delay incurred during route discovery. Based on our results, DEAR algorithm performs well and maximizes network lifetime by routing flows to nodes with sufficient energy such that the energy consumption is balanced among nodes in proportion to their energy reserves.
Rate and Congestion Optimization in Transport Layer for Wireless Mesh Networks

Wireless networks (WNs) are developed and applied widely in a lot of areas. Now, a new generation of wireless networks is coming, and that is Wireless Mesh Network (WMN). At present, there are not so many researches which deal on this area. Most researches are derived from Mobile Ad hoc Networks (MANET) and WNs. In WMNs, there are some applications that require real-time delivery. To guarantee this, rate control and congest ion control are needed. This problem leads to optimization issue in transport layer. In this paper, we propose a mathematical model which is applied in rate and congestion control in WNMs. From this model, we optimize rate and congestion control in WMNs by maximizing network utility. The proposed algorithm is implemented in distributed way both in links and sources.
