The purpose of this study is to elucidate foundation and characteristics of Toegye’s siekjo and to evaluate its educational value as ancient futures. There is 2 themes in foundation of Toegye’s siekjo (1) fields of Toegye’s poems, (2) Toegye’s siekjo based by siekjo of Confucius. And characteristics of Toegye’s siekjo is studied in (1) educational purpuse, (2) educational contents, (3) educational method. The results can be summarized as follows. Toegye composed more than 2,355 poems among various fields. He is maestro of siekjo, In life, he compiled 6 collection of poems. Toegye’s siekjo based on doctrines of Confucius. Ultimate purpose of Confucian siekjo is Clear Mind(思無邪). True learning is learning for self-perfection(Wikijihak) in Toegye, Therefore Right Mind(正心) is ultimate purpose of Toegye’s siekjo. 「Dosansipigok」 is alternative textbook for siekjo. In Toegye’s siekjo there are various methods as poem in letter or reading the poetry in landscape. I have three ideas for development of our education. First, Soft pedagogy ie better model for creative person. Second, it is help to prepare a sourcebook for siekjo. Thirdly, for the revitalization of siekjo we can use various kinds of mass media.

This study aim to analyze the differences in the tendency of seismic loss caused by earthquakes according to the types of steel moment frames. In the current standard, the magnitude of the seismic load for performing elastic design is adjusted based on the ductility of the system during the seismic design. Accordingly, a system with high ductility develops an inelastic response relatively early. In order to conduct a research analyzing the effect of this on seismic loss, the seismic design and seismic performance evaluation of steel ordinary and special moment frames under the same design conditions were performed, and the evaluation results were compared and analyzed.
Deep Learning-based System Warning of Short Remaining Operational Times in Electric Vehicles

To predict the remaining operational time of a battery is important in electric vehicle (EV) operation. However, the nonlinear characteristics of battery cells and the different driving patterns of people hinder that prediction. Furthermore, the aging characteristics of battery cells make predictions even more difficult. This paper presents a deep learning system that warns drivers that an EV may not be drivable in a short time. The training dataset reflects the nonlinearity of battery cells, random driving patterns, and the aging characteristics of battery cells, with values normalized to cover various forms of battery packs, which are combinations of battery cells. The performance of the proposed warning system shows around 99% accuracy for constant-speed driving situations and around 78% accuracy for random driving patterns, with the warning designed to be given three minutes before full battery discharge.
비연성 철근콘크리트 건물의 내진설계범주에 따른 붕괴 위험성 평가

Existing old reinforced concrete buildings could be vulnerable to earthquakes because they were constructed without satisfying seismic design and detail requirements. In current seismic design standards, the target collapse probability for a given Maximum Considered Earthquake (MCE) ground-shaking hazard is defined as 10% for ordinary buildings. This study aims to estimate the collapse probabilities of a three-story, old, reinforced concrete building designed by only considering gravity loads. Four different seismic design categories (SDC), A, B, C, and D, are considered. This study reveals that the RC building located in the SDC A region satisfies the target collapse probability. However, buildings located in SDC B, C, and D regions do not meet the target collapse probability. Since the degree of exceedance of the target probability increases with an increase in the SDC level, it is imminent to retrofit non-ductile RC buildings similar to the model building. It can be confirmed that repair and reinforcement of old reinforced concrete buildings are required.

<P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>Coupled shear wall systems have been more popularly used in high-rise building construction in urban areas due to their efficiency in sustaining lateral loads as well as economic effectiveness. During earthquakes, coupling beams in the coupled wall system act as a seismic fuse element that dissipate most of seismic input energy exerted in the system. Diagonally reinforced concrete coupling beams (DRCBs) have been developed for this purpose. The objective of this study was to acquire test data of DRCBs of with different amount of transverse reinforcement and to evaluate the seismic behavior of these DRCBs. Quasi-static cyclic tests were conducted using seven DRCB specimens with different amounts of transverse reinforcement and different aspect ratios. Four specimens had <SUB> L n </SUB> / h of 2.0, whereas it was 3.5 for the other three specimens. The shear strengths of individual specimens were compared to that calculated from the shear strength equation specified in ACI 318-14, and their deformation capacities were compared to those specified in ASCE 41-17. It is observed that the amount of transverse reinforcement in DRCBs played an important role in their shear strength and deformation capacities, indicating that the contribution of transverse reinforcement needs to be incorporated to ACI 318 shear strength equation and ASCE 41-17 model parameters.</P> <P><B>Highlights</B></P> <P> <UL> <LI> Experiments were conducted for diagonally reinforced concrete coupling beams (DRCBs). </LI> <LI> The effect of transverse reinforcement on seismic behavior of DRCBs) was investigated. </LI> <LI> The strength and deformation capacities of DRCBs were strongly affected by the amount of transverse reinforcement. </LI> </UL> </P>
클로로필 고생산성 Chlorella vulgaris 변이주의 특성 분석

Micro-algae are unicellular photosynthetic organisms and produce pigments such as chlorophyll and carotenoid. Chlorella containsa lot of protein and functional components like lipids, chlorophyll and carotenoids. In this study we induced mutants of Chlorella vulgaris (C. vulgaris) through ultraviolet radiation (UV-B) and selected two mutants by pigment (chlorophyll and carotenoids) content. We named the mutants ‘UBM1-2’, ‘UBM2-57’ and they were cultivated for 21-days. Cell growth, dry cell weight, protein content, lipid and pigments content were measured. The results indicated that the mutants displayed slower cell growth, lower dry cell weight and protein content than the wild type. However, for UBM1-2 the lipid content was 21% higher than the wild type. In addition, the mutants’ chlorophyll content was 37% and 89% higher than the wild type and the carotenoids content was 27% and 70% higher than the wild type, respectively.
