Indium oxide계 후막 센서의 이산화질소 감지 특성

Indium oxide-base 후막형 가스센서의 이산화질소(NO_2) 감지특성을 조사하였다. 기본 감지물질로는 In_2O_3, ITO(indium tin oxide)를 사용하였고, 여기에 WO_3와 Pd, Pt 귀금속 촉매를 첨가하여 이산화질소에 대한 반응특성을 실험하였다. 감도, 회복특성을 고려할 때, 350℃의 히터구동온도에서 가장 우수한 반응특성을 보였다. 1wt% 이상 WO_3 첨가시에 반응 감도(sensitivity)가 증가하였고, 귀금속 촉매인 Pd, Pt에 의해서도 감도특성이 향상되었다. 또한, 반복 on-off실험을 해서 신호의 안정성을 확인하였고 장기안정성 test에서도 우수한 특성을 나타내었다. The thick film of indium oxide-based semiconductor for the NO_2 detection have been prepared and their characteristics were investigated. It was shown that the optimum operating temperature of the sensors are 350℃ for In_2O_3-based sensor. NO_2 sensitivity increased as the WO_3 concentration increased to more than lwt%. The addition of Pd and Pt also enhanced the sensitivity to NO_2. Indium oxide-based sensors showed excellent reproducibility and stability for the detection of NO_2.

Epidemiological studies suggest that 30-50% of patients diagnosed with symptomatic congestive heart failure(CHF) have electrocardiographic evidence of a major intraventricular conduction delay, which may worsen left ventricular systolic and diastolic dysfunction through asynchronous ventricular contraction and paradoxical interventricular septal wall motion. Biventricular pacing is an emerging therapy allowing simultaneous electrical stimulation of the both ventricles with an implantable pacing system and it improves hemodynamics and well-being of patient by reducing ventricular asynchrony. Recently, we underwent biventricular DDD pacemaker implantation in a patient with CHF and Left bundle branch block and was significantly improved exercise tolerance and quality of life in that patient.
지속가능한 산림 개발을 위한 환경윤리학적 입장 및 정책 기조

This study is to reveal problems of forest development, present environmental ethics against various activities disturbing forest ecosystems, and provide fundamental view for sustainable developmental policies of forest in Korea. In forest conversion to other uses in Korea, one-agricultural sectors are occupying large proportions, and the tendency of unsustainable development is appearing. Sustainability in the forestry sector is divided into that of forest resources and forest ecosystems, and, thus, how to introduce development methods that support the original forms of forest ecosystems and bring up as economic forest is linked to the future of forest in Korea. Golf courses and ski resorts are considered as ‘wrong’from the ethical view of the land ethics by Aldo Leopold because they do not contribute to integrity, security, beauty of biotic community of forest, and, thus, foresters need to express the clear standpoint and attitude against them. Reforestation in forested area is discrepant from the principles of land ethics and economic loic, forest plantation are presented as an alternative plan for maintaining of sustainability of forest plantation are presented as an alternative plan for maintaining of sustainability of forest resources. Foresters cannot pose a problem to livestock industry unless it converts forests to pastures, but views of animal liberation and animal right have ethical validity, and vegetarianism as personal ethics of forester has practical meanings of environmental preservation as we consider impacts of livestock industry on forest ecosystems. View of the animal right against hunting and poaching has ethically persuasive power than that of ecocentricism. With considering the present situation of forest ecosystem in our country, preclusion of poaching and illegal gathering rather than promotion of hunting accords with forester’s proper task. Approach to forest development should vary with main conditions of forest ecosystems. Strictly regulation for managing developmental projects that cause largescale physical transformation and deny ontological value of forest are ot breaking the principles of free market economy, but are restoring a justice ethically for sustainable development.
24주간 추적하는 임상 연구에서 한국인 남자 알코올 의존 환자의 비재발률

Objetives : In order to provide useful data tbr the further clinical studies with Korean alcohol-dependent patients, enrollment and non-relapse rates were investigated while alcohol-dependent patients wcre followed up for 24 weeks. Methods : The subjects of this study were alcohol-dependent male patients who, for the first time, visited a hospital among 3 groups of hospitals, University Hospital, General Hospital or Mental Hospital, or those who needed to be followed up after discharge from those hospitals. After assigning 12 subjects to each hospital, we investigated enrollment and non-relapse rates while cognitive-behavioral therapy and pharmacotherapy were provided. Results : 1) Forty-eight patients were enrolled and the rate of enrollment was 36.4%. The enrollment rate in the University Hospital group was 52.1%, in the General Hospital group 50.0%. and in the Mental Hospital group 10.4%. 2) In 48 patients, non-relapse rate was 27.1% at 12 week and 18.8% at 24 weeks after starting follow-up. It was 24.4% and 20.0% at 12 and 24 weeks, repectively, in the University Hospital group while the General Hospital group showed 33.3% and 16.7%, respectively, and the Mental Hospital Group showed 20.0% at both 12 and 24 weeks. Conclusion : These results provide important data for further clinical studies of Korean alcohol-dependent patients.
DMBA 매식과 방사선 조사로 유발된 백서 악하선 암에 존재하는 단백질에 관한 연구

This study was performed in order to identify changes of the plasma membrane proteins in rat submandibular gland tumors induced by 7,12-dimethylbenz[a]anthracene [DMBA]and X-irradiation. Two kinds of tumor associated membrane proteins (protein A and B) were isolated with 3 M KCI extraction from rat submandibular gland tumors induced by DMBA and X-irradiation. To identify their antigenicities. immunoelectrophoresis and double immunodiffusion was carried out with various proteins extracted from liver, heart, skin and pancreas of adult rats and from embryonic liver, heart and skin. The rabbit antisera against the protein A did not cross-react with any of the proteins extracted from the above mentioned tissues, suggesting that protein A might be tumor specific antigen. However, the rabbit antisera against protein B was precipitated with proteins extracted from the liver of adult and embryonic rats. Polyacrylamide gel elecrtophoresis of these two proteins (A and B) showed that protein A was a dimer with molecular weights of 69,000 and 35,000 dalton, whereas protein B was a monomer with molecular weight of 50,000 dalton.
