<P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>The OWL-Net (Optical Wide-field patroL Network) is composed of 0.5-m wide-field optical telescopes spread over the globe (Mongolia, Morocco, Israel, South Korea, and USA). All the observing stations are identical, operated in a fully robotic manner, and controlled by the headquarters located in Daejeon, Korea. The main objective of the OWL-Net is to obtain the orbital information of Korean LEO and GEO satellites using purely optical means and to maintain their orbital elements.</P> <P>The aperture size of the mirror is 0.5 m in the Ritchey-Chretien configuration, and its field of view is 1.1 deg on the CCD sensor. The telescope is equipped with an electrically cooled 4 K CCD camera with a 9-µm pixel size, and its pixel scale is 1 arcsec/pixel. A chopper wheel with variable speed is adopted to obtain multiple points in a single shot. Each observatory is equipped with a heavy-duty environment monitoring system for robust robotic observation. The headquarters has components for status monitoring, scheduling, network operation, orbit calculation, and database management.</P> <P>The test-phase operation of the whole system began in early 2017, although test runs for individual sites began in 2015. Although the OWL-Net has 7 observation modes for artificial satellites and astronomical objects, we are concentrating on a few modes for LEO satellites and calibration during the early phase. Some early results and analysis for system performance will be presented, and their implications will be discussed.</P>

<P><B>Summary</B></P><P>Despite its toxicity, H2O2 is produced as a signaling molecule that oxidizes critical cysteine residues of effectors such as protein tyrosine phosphatases in response to activation of cell surface receptors. It has remained unclear, however, how H2O2 concentrations above the threshold required to modify effectors are achieved in the presence of the abundant detoxification enzymes peroxiredoxin (Prx) I and II. We now show that PrxI associated with membranes is transiently phosphorylated on tyrosine-194 and thereby inactivated both in cells stimulated via growth factor or immune receptors in vitro and in those at the margin of healing cutaneous wounds in mice. The localized inactivation of PrxI allows for the transient accumulation of H2O2 around membranes, where signaling components are concentrated, while preventing the toxic accumulation of H2O2 elsewhere. In contrast, PrxII was inactivated not by phosphorylation but rather by hyperoxidation of its catalytic cysteine during sustained oxidative stress.</P> <P><B>Graphical Abstract</B></P><P><ce:figure></ce:figure></P><P><B>Highlights</B></P><P>► Phosphorylation inactivates peroxiredoxin I (PrxI), an enzyme that reduces H2O2 ► Ligation of growth factor or immune receptors induces PrxI tyrosine phosphorylation ► Phosphorylation occurs on membrane-associated but not cytosolic PrxI ► This localized inactivation of PrxI allows accumulation of H2O2 needed for signaling</P>

Despite its toxicity, H(2)O(2) is produced as a signaling molecule that oxidizes critical cysteine residues of effectors such as protein tyrosine phosphatases in response to activation of cell surface receptors. The localized inactivation of PrxI allows for the transient accumulation of H(2)O(2) around membranes, where signaling components are concentrated, while preventing the toxic accumulation of H(2)O(2) elsewhere. In contrast, PrxII was inactivated not by phosphorylation but rather by hyperoxidation of its catalytic cysteine during sustained oxidative stress.

As the Muslim population increases in Koea, there is an increasing demand for development the products that meet the needs of Muslim consumers, however, the relative studies or actual development is insufficient. In this study, sausages were prepared by acceptable materials to Muslim consumers - chicken thigh with different amount of tofu residues (biji) (0, 5, 10, 15, and 20%), and then the properties were compared. The pH of the sausage decreased as the amount of added biji increased. For color propertiesn, a* value decreased and b* value increased with the addition of biji. There was no significant difference in L* value, except for sample with biji 10%. As the addition of biji increased, hardness, springiness and chewiness increased, but cohesiveness and adhesiveness decreased. The biji powder improved the quality of sausage product in both sensory and functional properties, and the 10% addition (based on the weight of all of the materials) was chosen as the most acceptable.

A strategy is needed for a regional survey of geosynchronous orbits (GSOs) to monitor known space objects and detect uncataloged space objects. On the basis of the Inter-Agency Debris Committee's recommendation regarding the protected region of geosynchronous Earth orbit (GEO), target satellites with perigee and apogee of $GEO{\pm}200km$ and various inclinations are selected for analysis. The status of the GSO region was analyzed using the satellite distribution based on the orbital characteristics in publicly available two-line element data. Natural perturbation effects cause inactive satellites to drift to two stable longitudinal points. Active satellites usually maintain the designed positions as a result of regular or irregular maneuver operations against their natural drift. To analyze the detection rate of a single optical telescope, 152 out of 412 active satellites and 135 out of 288 inactive satellites in the GSO region were selected on the basis of their visibility at the observation site in Daejeon, Korea. By using various vertical view ranges and various numbers of observations of the GSO region, the detection efficiencies were analyzed for a single night, and the numbers of follow-up observations were determined. The orbital estimation accuracies were also checked using the arc length and number of observed data points to maintain the GSO satellite catalog.
