Objectives: The aim of this report is to report the effect of Acupotomy and rTMS on tinnitus. Methods: A total of 23 patients who visited the clinic for tinnitus symptoms received treatment, which included rTMS stimulation on the temporoparietal cortex and acupotomy treatment on the transverse processes of the cervical vertebrae. Rectus capitis posterior major, Rectus capitis posterior minor and TE17 for 10 times. Results: The average NRS of patients before receiving rTMS and acupuncture treatment was 7.61±1.12 points, which decreased to an average of 3.09±1.53 points after treatment, with statistical significance. Conclusion: This research suggests that rTMS and acupotomy treatment may be effective therapeutic methods for alleviating tinnitus symptoms.

추간공 내구(Internal Intervertebral Foramen)에 침도치료 후 호전된 만성 요추 추간판탈출증 1례

Introduction: Internal Orifices of Intervertebral Foramen (Naegu) are important acupoints of acupotomy for lumbar spine diseases. It was used in adhesiolysis of hardened myofascial meridian. Previously, most of the acupotomy studies for lumbar disc herniation were complex treatments, but this study introduces a treatment case using Naeguacupotomy alone. Background: The aim of this study is to make report the effect of treatment with Naeguacupotomy at lumbar disc herniation. A 70 years old man was suffered the lumbar and pelvic pain from 2018 to 2021. Methods: The patient was given treatment with only Naeguacupotomy on the between L2 and L3 spine, L5 and S1 spine region (Internal Orifices of Intervertebral Foramen of L2-L3 and L5-S1). The patient’s response was measured using the NRS Scale and K-ODI. Results: After 4th treatment the NRS of the lumbar pain was reduced from 8 to 7 and KODI was reduced from 27 to 24, after 10th treatment the NRS was reduced to 4 and K-ODI reduced to 15, after 20th treatment the NRS was reduced to 3 and K-ODI reduced to 6. Conclusion: These results suggest that treatment with only Naeguacupotomy on the lumbar disc herniation, is useful for treating the chronic lumbar and pelvic pain, also corrects the scoliosis of the spine.

동안신경마비 침도 치험 1례

Background: The aim of this report is to report the effect of Acupotomy on Oculomotor Nerve Palsy. Methods: A 78-year-old male patient was diagnosed with Oculomotor Nerve Palsy and complained of Diplopia, right eye movement disorder. This patient received acupuncture treatment on the anterior border of posterior tubercle of cervical transverse process, upper border of right zygomatic arch, right Jingming acupoint (BL1). Results: As a result of 20 acupotomy treatments from November 14 to February 20, adduction in the right eye completely improved, and the diplopia which occurred when looking to the left also disappeared. Conclusion: This study suggests that acupotomy treatment may be effective in eye movement disorder caused by oculomoter nerve palsy and diplopia.

침도 치료로 호전된 길랑-바레 증후군 환자 치험례

Background: The aim of this report is to report the effect of Acupotomy on Guillain-Barre Syndrome. Methods: A 38-year-old male patient was diagnosed with Guillain-Barre syndrome and complained of facial paralysis, weakness in the legs, pain in the back of the neck, headaches, and dizziness. This patient received acupotomy treatment on the suboccipital muscles and T5 spinous process inferior part. Results: After five sessions of acupotomy treatment from March 10th to April 3rd, the patient’s facial paralysis improved to the point where there was no problem with facial expressions. The Y-score also improved from a total score of 20 to 40. In addition, the MMT index for weakness in the legs improved from 4 to 5, and the patient’s other symptoms also improved. The NRS for headaches and other symptoms decreased from 8 to 3, remaining only mild. Conclusion: This study suggests that acupotomy treatment may be effective in alleviating limb weakness, facial paralysis, headaches, and other pains in patients with Guillain-Barre syndrome.

침도치료로 호전된 급성 척수염 환자 1례

Background: The aim of this report is to report the effect of Acupotomy on idiopathic acute myelitis. Methods: A 63 year-old female patient was diagnosed with idiopathic acute myelitis and complained of Paraplegia, low limb sensory alterations, and urinary retention and loss of bowel control. This patient received acupotomy treatment on the L4-L5 internal interverte- bral foramen and BL-31, BL-32 and gluteus maximus, biceps femoris. Results: After twelve sessions of acupotomy treatment, the patient’s Lower Extremity Motor score and total sensory Score of ASIA was improved from total score of 26, 192 each to 40, 208 and the patient achieved independent slow ambulation for a 30 minutes, also there was mild recovery observed in pin prick and light touch sensory testing in the S4-5 region. Conclusion: This study suggests that acupotomy treatment may be effective in alleviating limb weakness, paraplegia, low limb sensory alterations, and other symptoms of acute myelitis.

십이미관중탕(十二味寬中湯)의 노화(老化) 억제 효과에 대한 실험적(實驗的) 연구(硏究)

1. Objectives The purpose of this study is to prove the anti-aging effects of Sipyimigwanjung-tang. 2. Methods The SD rats used in this experiment were 6, 18 and 36 weeks old. A part of the 36weeks was grown to 52 and 68 weeks at labarotary. Each age group was again divided into three groups. These 15 groups consisted of 6 rats each. One group was given no treatment, another group was dosed 200 ${\mu}l$ of normal saline daily, and the last group was dosed 200 ${\mu}l$ of 1% Sipyimigwanjung-tang(SYG) and saline mixture. At the conclusion of the experiment, the age groups were relabelled accordingly(10w, 22w, 40w, 52w and 68w). After 4 weeks, the tissue of liver, heart, spleen, lung, kidney and brain was biopsied in order to measure the SOD, GSH, MDA. 3. Results and Conclusions In liver, the activity of the SOD of 52w-SYG was significantly increased than that of 10w, 22w and 40w-SYG, the level of the GSH of 40w-SYG was significantly increased than that of the normal group, the activity of the catalase of 68w-SYG was significantly increased than that of the normal and control group, the level of the MDA of 52w-SYG and 68w-SYG was significantly decreased than that of the normal and control groups. In heart, the level of the GSH of 22w-SYG was significantly increased than that of the normal and control group. In spleen, the level of the GSH of 52w-SYG was significantly increased than that of the normal and control group. In lung, the level of the GSH of 52w-SYG was significantly increased than that of the normal group and the level of 68w-SYG was significantly increased than that of the normal and control group. In kidney, the level of the GSH of 10w-SYG was significantly increased than that of the normal group. In brain, the level of the GSH of 68w-SYG was significantly increased than that of the normal and control group. The SYG inhibited the histology degeneration of brain tissue. These results suggest that oral administration of SYG (Sipyimigwanjung-tang) decoction has anti-aging effects in aged rats.

Objectvies The study is purposed to find the role of the six-channels of shanghan(傷寒六經) on the relation between ${\ulcorner}$Dongyisusaebowon(東醫壽世保元)${\lrcorner}$ and ${\ulcorner}$Shanghanlun(傷寒論)${\lrcorner}$ 2. Methods The study is compared ${\ulcorner}$Euiwonleun(醫源論)${\lrcorner}$ with the process of study on the ${\ulcorner}$Shanghanlun(傷寒論)${\lrcorner}$, origin and theorys of the Shanghan six-channels(傷寒六經). 3. Results and Conclusions Just as Dong-mu fully understood the concepts of ${\ulcorner}$Shanghanlun(傷寒論)${\lrcorner}$ through the six of Shanghan(傷寒六經) proposed by Chu-gueng(朱肱), the ideas of Differential Diagnostic System(辨證體系) of ${\ulcorner}$Shanghanlun(傷寒論)${\lrcorner}$ had much influence on ${\ulcorner}$Dongyisusaebowon(東醫壽世保元)${\lrcorner}$. Therefore a new medical theory could be born.

청심연자탕 투여후 발생한 약물 유인성 간손상 치험 1례

Herbal medicine has been used in the Eastern world for 2,000 years, and is beneficial for numerous diseases. There have been reports pertaining to the safety of herbal medicine, but there have been few reports about herbal medicine induced liver injury in Eastern or Western medicine. Most are descriptions of hepatotoxicity of certain toxic herbs. We experienced one case of drug induced liver injury in the treatment of cerebral infarction with Chungsim Yeonja-tang. Although the patient had not used medication and Chungsim Yeonja-tang has no toxic herbs in it. patient's ALP, AST, ALT, GGT was twice elevated after 20 days on medication. This was diagnosed as drug induced liver injury, possibly due to incorrect diagnosis of Sasang constitution. So no herbal medicine was given for seven days. Then Gagam Saeng Gan-tang was given. Gagam Saeng Gan-tang have been used to treat hepatic disease and have been known to have beneficial effects. After 25 days on medication, the clinical symptoms and liver function improved. So, this case is presented to bring more attention to the toxicity of herbal medicines.

사상의학으로 치료한 태음인 아토피 피부염 환자 치험 1례

We observed and treated a 19 year-old female who had atopic dermatitis. Even though she had been treated with western medicine, she still complained of severe itching, erythema, lichenification, scaling, dryness, oozing and insomnia especially on her face and neck. We treated her with Sasang Constitutional Therapies(Kupoong-san, Teumchoui-tang, Kalkunsungki-tang), apcupuncture, herbal irrigation and moisture emulsion. Having been treated for 24 days in hospital admitted, her symptoms were reduced and changed from severe to mild grade in SCORAD(SCORing Atopic Dermatitis)
