해마 theta리듬과 pyramidal neuron의 세포내 특성과의 상관관계

Eledctrophysiological phenomena of pyramidal cells in the CAI area of the dorsal hippocampus were recorded from and filled with neurobiotin in anesthetized rats. The electropharmacological properties of membrane as well as the cellular-synaptic generation of rhythmic slow activity (theta)were examined. The intracellular response characteristics of these pyramidal cells were distinctly different from responses of inteneurons. Pyramidal cells had a high resting membrane potential, a low input resistance, and a large amplitude action potential. A afterhyperpolarization was followed a single action potential. Most of pyramidal cells did not display a spontaneous firing. Pyramidal cells displayed weak inward rectification and anodal break excitation. The slope of the frequency-current relation was 53.4 Hz/nA for the first interspike interval and 15.9 Hz/nA for the last intervals, suggesting the presence of spike frequency adaptation. Neurobiotin-filled neurons showed pyramidal morphology. Cells were generally bipolar dendritc processes ramifying in stratum lacunosum-moleculare, radiatum, and oriens. Commissural stimulation discharged pyramidal cells, followed by excitatory and inhibitory postsynaptic potentials (EPSPs and IPSPs). The frequency of theat-related membrane potential oscillation was voltage-independent in pyramidal neurons. At strong depolarization levels (less than 30 mV) pyramidal cells emitted sodium spike oscillation, phase-locked to theta. The observations provide direct evidence that theta-related rhythmic hyperpolarization of principal cells is brought by the rhythmically discharging interneurons. Furthermore, the findings in which interneurons were also paced by rhythmic inhibitory postsynaptic potentials during theta suggest that they were periodically hyperpolarized by their GABAergic septal afferents.

Next-generation sequencing (NGS) technology and fast improvement in plant genetics have elevated to massive development of molecular genetic markers through fast analysis of huge molecular biological data. Furthermore, in domestic commercial breeding of horticultural crops, the application of marker assisted breeding (MAB) has been introduced recently. For effective improvement of cultivar breeding, in this research, transcriptome analysis and single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) comparison with high density pepper map in UC-DAVIS were performed using four lines of Capsicum annuum and C. chinense. For rapid analysis of MAB of tolerant pepper lines, 412 Fluidigm probes were newly designed in this study. These designed probes and SSR and COSII markers were applied for background selection through the MAB program. In addition, powdery mildew (PM), tomato spot wilt virus (TSWV) resistance related markers were subjected to foreground selection of BC1, BC2, and BC3 progenies. The MAB system using Fluidigm probes, and trait-related and common markers was introduced into domestic pepper breeding, which will rapidly approach to a new elite line and a commercial tolerant cultivar.

본 논문에서는 HEVC 기술로 부호화된 비디오 비트스트림(HEVC 비트스트림)을 분석하고, 그 결과를 보여주는 방법에 대해서 제안한다.[1] HEVC 기술은 Coding Unit(CU), Prediction Unit(PU), Transform Unit(TU)을 기반으로 부호화가 이루어지므로 부호화 정보를 효과적으로 사용자에게 보여주기 위해서는 CU, PU, TU 를 기반으로 GUI(Graphic User Interface)가 디자인되어야 한다. 제안된 HEVC 비트스트림 분석기에서는 이러한 부호화 구조를 반영하여 사용자 친화적으로 HEVC 비트스트림의 부호화 정보를 편리하게 확인할 수 있도록 하였다.

본 논문에서는 HEVC 부호화시 코딩 트리 블록의 분할 구조를 고속 결정하는 방법을 제안한다. 코딩 트리 블록은 다양한 크기의 코딩 블록으로 구성되어 부호화 효율을 향상시키지만, 구성되는 코딩 블록을 결정하기 위한 과정에서 많은 계산량을 필요로 하게 되어 부호화 시간을 증가시킨다. 제안하는 방법에서는 부호화 과정에서 복원된 잔차신호와 코딩 트리 블록의 분할 구조의 상관성을 이용하여 코딩 트리 블록의 분할 구조를 고속으로 결정하는 방법을 제시한다. 실험 결과를 통해 제안된 방법이 HM16.0 에 비해 random-access configuration 에서 50.98%, low-delay configuration 에서 43.77%의 부호화 시간을 감소시키는 것을 확인하였다. 이때, BD-rateYUV 증가는 각각 2.42%와 2.35%로 부호화 효율에는 미치는 영향은 낮았다.

저자들은 약물치료 또는 케톤식이요법으로 조절되지 않는 난치성 간질을 가진 결절성 경화증 환아에서 간질 수술 후 발작이 없어지고 인지기능과 행동 발달을 보인 3례를 경험하였기에 문헌 고찰과 함께 보고하는 바이다. Tuberous sclerosis(TS) is a disorder of aberrant neuronal differentiation and prolifera-tion manifesting as multiple central nervous system(CNS) hamartomas. Seizures in pa-tients with TS are often intractable to anticonvulsant therapy. Although TS shows vari-ous lesions including multiple tubers, many patients with well localized epileptic focus to some tubers may have a benefit from epileptic surgery. We experienced three cases who had clinical improvement after epileptic surgery in intractable epilepsy complicated by TS. We report three cases and the brief review of literatures.
