      • 몇가지 β-lactam 항생제의 약효평가를 위한 Minimum Inhibitory Concentration(MIC)의 비교

        In order to screen the new β-lactam antibiotics for clinical use. we were compared MIC values of various β-lactam antibiotics. We also tested the influence of pH, inoculum size, stability of antibiotics in medium and some kinds of media on MIC value. As a result, cefotaxime, cefoperazone, piperacillin, cefamandole, cephaloridine, cephapirin, cefazolin, cephalothin, cephaioylycn were scored in antimicrobial activity of MIC data.

      • Bacillus licheniformis에 의한 Alkaline Phosphatase의 生成 및 그 酸素의 特性

        Optimum culture condition of Bacillus licheniformis for the production of alkaline phosphatase and some properties of the partially purified enzyme were investigated. The production of alkaline phosphatase was at best when the culture medium contained 0.2% fructose, 1.5% neopeptone, 0.2% (NH_4)_2SO_4, 0.2mM K_3PO_4, and 10mM MgCl_2 at a initial pH of 9.0. The enzyme was purivied by ammonium sullfate fractionation and DEAE-cellulose chromatography. The specific activity at the partially purified enzyme was 250 times higher than that of the crude extract and the yield was 10%. The enzyme showed a optium pH of 9.0 and was stable in the range of 8.0-9.5. It had a optimum temperature of 60℃ and was also thermostable retaining 85% of it's activity when exposed to 60℃ for 30 min. The enzyme activity was promoted in the presence of Mg^++ and Co^++ but inhibited in the presence of Hg^++. Km value of the enzyme was determined to 0.1 mM with p-nitrophenylphosphate at pH 9.0

      • Pyridine 촉매하의 Cyclohexene의 Ozonolysis

        Terminally functionalized molecules are essential building block for the formation of polymers by polycondensation reactions. It is the major goal of this research to establish new routes for the preparation of such molecules by selective oxidation reaction of cyclohexene, using ozone as an oxydizing agent. To this purpose, it has been explored, whether the usual course of the ozonolysis of olefins can be modified with the help of specific catalyst in order to introduce the desired functional groups. In particular, the ozonolysis of cyclohexene in hydrocarbon solvents and in the presence of pyridine has been tested with the goal of preparing molecules containing one aldehyde and one carboxylic acid group. Ozonolysis of cyclohexene in hydrocarbon solvents such as methylene chloride and pentane can be guided by catalysis with pyridine, such that the reactions afford desired molecules. In this manner, pyridine catalized ozone oxidation converted cyclohexene into the corresponding 6-oxohexanoic acid(45.87%), adipaldehyde(14.68%), and polymeric ozonide(39.45%), via the ω-formyl carbonyl oxides in CH₂Cl₂at 0℃.

        이온성 혈관조영제 Talabrix가 동맥혈관내막과 미세혈관 문합 후 혈관개폐에 미치는 영향

        In the free flap surgery using microvascular anastomosis, angioraphy is widely used as an integral part of preoperative plans. The necessity of angiography is well extablished. But since there exist many controversies regarding adverse effects of angiography. especially there is no concrete evidence about their effects on the patency after microvascular anastomosis, This study attempts to examine the chronological changes of the arterial intima after systemic injection of ionic contrast media sodium iothamate(Talabrix ) and to evaluate its effects on the patency of microvascular anastomosis. Fifty-nine Sprague Dawley rats were divided into 5 groups according to time interval between contrast media injection and microvascular anastomosis. The time intervals were 1 day, 3 days, 7 days, and 14 days after contrast media injection. The ionic contrast media was injected intraveneously through the tail vein. Left inguinal arteries were anastomosed under an operating microscope after the contrast media injection. After the above procedures and reviewing all the results, we can conclude that ionic angiographic dye causes reversible injuries to the vascular intima, and deteriorates patency of the microvascular anastomosis. And we suggest that a time interval more than at least 7 days to 14 days, between anguographic study and flap transfer is requested.

      • Sisomicin고생산 균주의 예비선별과 이들의 생리적 특성

        In order to isolate selectively sisomicin over-producers during mutagenesis, several conditions required for fragmentation, mutagen treatment, and selection of mutants were examined. As a result, up to 30% yield-up of the antibiotic production of a candidate was achieved. For the step of scale-up, effect of antifoaming agent in small scale with flasks was studied. Palm oil was very effective within the range of without inhibiting of growth. Water addition during the fermentation enhanced 10% of sisomicin productivity than that of control.

      • 트레드밀 運動負荷後 恢復時 靜的 및 動的인 休息方法에 의한 恢復率 比較

        This study was performed to compare recovery rate with the passive and the active recovery methods during the first and the second recovery periods after the first and the second treadmill running. Forteen female subjects aged between 13 and 14 years were divided into passive recovery and active recovery groups. Running exercise was performed on the treadmill at 3.5mph speed with incremental increase of 2% grade per 1 minute until attaining their target heart rate. Heart tare, blood pressure(systolic and diastolic pressure), respiratory rate, and blood lactic acid concentrations were measured at resting state and 1min, 3min, 5min, 7min, and 10min during the first and the second recovery periods. Especially, heart rate and respiratory rate were measured at the starting and termination time of the first and the second exercise. The results are summarized as follows. Heart rate at the starting of the first exercise was significantly higher than that of the resting value. Two groups were higher than the resting state until 10minutes of the first recovery periods, but there were no difference between the two. The starting and termination of exercise in the second exercise also was significantly higher than resting state ; especially the active recovery group in the first starting exercise was significantly higher than passive recovery group. The active recovery group was shown the higher heart rate than that of passive recovery group at recovery period of 5minutes and 10 minutes. Systolic blood pressure was higher than resting values until recovery periods of 5minutes after the first treadmill exercise. The level of systolic blood pressure was restored to the resting state after recovery period of 7minutes until the recovery period of 3minutes. It was restored to the resting state after the second exercise. The active recovery group in the first and the second exercise recovery was restored to the resting level after recovery period of 10minutes. The active recovery group at the recovery period of the first and the second exercise was significantly higher than the passive recovery group. Diastolic blood pressure was showed no significant difference between the two groups during the first and the second recovery period. Respiratory rate in two groups were increased to the above resting level. The passive recovery group was significantly higher than the active recovery group. It was returned to the resting level by 3minutes during the first and the second recovery period. Hematocrit in the passive recovery group was lower by 10minutes than that of active recovery group during the first and the second recovery period during the first and the second recovery period. The active recovery group was no significant difference throughout the recovery period. The blood lactic acid concentrations in the two groups were significantly higher than those of resting values during the first recovery periods. The two groups were restored to the resting level by recovery period of 10minutes, but were higher than resting values by recovery periods of 1minute. As a results, the active recovery group was somewhat higher than the passive recovery group. This indicate that recovery rate in the active recovery group was higher than that of the passive recovery group.
