전기화학적 방법을 이용한 저온형 연료전지용 고분산 Pt 촉매의 제조

Pt was deposited on carbon support by chronoamperometry. The catalytic activity for methanol oxidation was checked by CV (cyclic voltammetry) method. The amount of Pt loading was calculated by integration of I-t curve obtaining the total current used for the Pt deposition. The ECA (electrochemical active surface area) for loaded Pt was calculated from the hydrogen adsorption/desorption peaks in 0.5 M H₂SO₄solution. Pt was deposited on clean carbon electrode surface with various concentration of Pt solution (0.1 mM) was used. As the concentration of Pt increased, the specific catalystic activity of Pt decreased suggesting that, in the electrochemical reaction of Pt ion with electrode surface, Pt particles were smaller and more dispersed in low concentration of Pt solution. With this condition (0.1 mM Pt), Pt was electrodeposited on a commercial carbon support, Vulcan XC-72. Electrochemically loaded Pt catalyst had the higher ECA, and showed higher specific catalytic activity for mathanol oxidation than a commercial Pt/C catalyst.

뇌 농양의 임상적 분석

The authors reviewed 24 Patients with brain abscess from January 1986 to December 1990. The male to female ratio was 16:8 and most frequently developed at second decades. The commonest cause was chronic ear infection with abscess in the temporal lobe, and common organism was proteus species. All patients received a total of 6 weeks of antiobiotic therapy. Surgery was performed in 24 patients. Drainage of drainage and later capsulectomy may offer a simple, safe and easy removal of capsule. There was no postoperative death or empyema. The most important predictor of outcome was the patients condition when first seen. Early specialist care, computerized tomography, correct choice and dosage of antibiotics, and the surgical methods in present use should make this a benign disease.

간호대학생의 MBTI 성격유형과 학습태도, 학업성취도간의 상관성

Purpose: This study was to explore the relationship between personality type and learning attitude and academic achievement of nursing students. Method: 91 students were sampled from freshman in nursing school. Data were collected from April 2 to October 5 2007. Analysis of the results were carried out using SPSS win 12.0 for frequency, mean and standard deviation, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation. Result: The result of MBTI test was that nursing students in this study showed extraversion(52.7%), sensing(82.4%), thinking(56.0%), judging(57.1%). Academic achievement according to personality was that only feeling(F) type students had significantly higher score of English than thinking(T) type students(p=.013). Learning attitudes according to personality were that sensing(S) type students had significantly positive attitude toward their college than intuition(N) type students (p=.016). And think(T) type students had significantly higher confidence of learning than feeling(F) type students. There was significant positive correlations between learning method and score of English, Fundamental Nursing, Anatomy(p<05). Conclusions: Diagnosing personality can differentiate student's learning attitude. It is important to develop teaching-learning strategies according to their personality, which can help them to improve their academic achievement.

Newcastle Disease Virus의 Fusion 단백 유전자의 제한효소분절형태(RELP)의 특이성

To evaluate the specificity of restriction fragment length polymorphism (RFLP) of Newcastle disease virus (NDV) fusion (F) protein gene for various NDV strains. F protein genes of NDV CBP-1 isolate, LaSota, B1 and Kyojungwon (KJW) were amplified by reverse transcriptase-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) and RFLP were examined. In RT-PCR using F primer sets for 1.7 kb F gene, the amplified products were observed in CBP-1, LaSota and B1 except KJW. However, F2 primer set for 521 bp yielded the amplified bands with all strains. The amplified F genes (1.7 kbp) were treatd with 15 different restriction enzymes to analyze RFLP and the cleavage patterns. CBP-1 showed various cleavage patterns with 8 enzymes, LaSota, with 11 enzymes and B1, with 11 enzymes. According to the cleavage patterns, the physical maps were constructed, and it was found that CBP-1, LaSota and B1 strains had specific cleavage sites with HinfI, XbaI and XhoI. These findings suggest that RFLP are worth applying in the diagnosis and molecular epidemiological studies of Newcastle disease.

A successful treatment of infants and children with congenital heart defects depends upon several factors: diagnosis must be accurate, the operative technique, including techniques of perfusion and myocardial preservation, must be suited to the needs of patients and intensive cares, including accurate anesthesia, must be applied through all stages of investigation and treatment, i.e. before, during and after the operation. Recently we performed a open heart surgery successfully for a six-years old girl who had suffered from frequent upper respiratory tract infection and mild to moderate exertional dyspnea with congenital heart defects (ventricular septal defect, Kirklin type II, with patent foramen ovale). The operation and postoperative course were very smooth. And now we report this with review of literatures.

심내막상 결손증 : 3예 보고 A Report of 3 Cases

심내막상 결손증(Endocardial cushion defect)은 선천성 심장기형의 약 3% 정도를 차지하는 비교적 드문 질환이며, 복잡한 동반 기형을 나타내고 있고, 그 수술 방법에 있어서도 많은 논란이 있으며, 사망율도 높은 질환인 바, 저자들은 지난 1년간에 3예의 본 증례에 대한 수술 치험에서 술후 3∼6개월간에 만족할만한 임상적 추적 결과를 얻었기에 보고하는 바이다. In Pusan Paik Hospital, Inje Medical College, there were two complete endocardial cushion defects (ECD) and a partial one, which were successfully repaired in 1986. In a patient of partial ECD, primum atrial septal defect was closed with pericardial patch. In a patient of complete ECD, associated with secundum ASD, pulmonary stenosis and Down's syndrome, the atrial and ventricular septal defects were closed separately with bovine pericardium and Dacron patches respectively, and then pulmonary stenosis was relieved by transannular patch widening in addition to valvotomy and infundibulectomy. In another patient with complete ECD, small interventricular communication was closed with simple suture with pledget, and primum ASD closed with pericardial patch. In all patient, the mitral clefts were closed with three or four 5-0 Prolene interrupted sutures. Transient A-V dissociation developed postoperatively in two patients, and heart failure in complete ECD with Down's syndrome was overcome with medical treatment.

섬진강 수계의 곡성군 어류상

섬진강 중류의 전남 곡성군 수계의 담수어류상과 서식현황을 2001년 3월부터 10월까지 조사한 결과,총 5과 22속 30종 1,786개체가 채집되었다. 출현한 어류는 26종이 잉어과 어류에 해당되었고, Rhinogobius brunneus의 1종만이 이차담수어에 해당되었다. 하천 전체에서 zacco platypus(우점도 24.2%)가 우점종으로 확인되었고, 아우점종은 Pungtungia herzi (10.7%)로 나타났다. 한국 고유종은 Rhodeus uyekii등 11종으로 전체 어류에 대하여 36.7%를 차지하여 비교적 높은 고유도를 나타냈다. 다양도 지수에 의하여 곡성군 섬진강 수계의 하천 수질오염을 판정한 결과,전체적으로 β-중부수성 수질상태 (다양도 2.70)를 나타냈으나, St.2와 St.3을 제외한 조사지역에서는 β-중부수성으로부터 중부수성까지의 하천수질상태를 나타냈다. The fauna of freshwater fish and the structure of fish community were investigated from March to October in 2001 at six stations in the middle reach of the Seomjin River, Gokseong-gun. The collected fishes (1,786 individuals) were identified into 30 species of 22 genera belonging to 5 families. Of them, cyprinid fish occupied 26 species, only one species (Rhinogobius brunneus) was secondary freshwater fish. Dominant species was Zacco platypus (dominance index: 24.2%) and subdominant species was Pungtungia herizi (10.7%). The endemic species of Korea were 11 species including Rhodeus uyekii (36.7%) about the ichthyofauna. In estimation of water quality by diversity indices, the general conditions of water quality of all survey times and all stations were relatively fine (β-mesosaprobic, diversity index: 2.70). But four survey sites except St. 2 and St. 3 showed severe water pollution with one or more times in total survey periods.
