        Z세대 대상 복합문화공간 사용자 경험 비교 연구 - 하우스 도산과 누디트 익선을 중심으로 -

        This study conducted a meta-analysis of 183 domestic research papers on spatial user experience design and the consumption tendencies of Generation Z, extracting a total of 6 categories (structural, visual, functional, socio-cultural, service-related, and emotional) and 26 sub-factors. Among these, 13 factors (accessibility, aesthetics, innovation, flexibility, engagement, interactivity, emotionality, experientiality, enjoyment, sustainability, environmental integration, and identity creativity) were specifically chosen for their relevance to the value-driven consumption patterns of Generation Z. This study performed Case validations through an analysis of the user experiences at 'HAUS DOSAN' and 'NUDIT Ikseon'. A quantitative evaluation involving 60 members of Generation Z was conducted using an online Google survey, complemented by in-depth interviews with 8 participants. The findings reveal that firstly, it is feasible to assess the user experience of multifaceted cultural spaces based on Generation Z's environmental, value-based, and status-related consciousness (economic, pleasurable, symbolic, and relational experiences). Secondly, within these spaces, enjoyable consumption experiences and cost-effectiveness are more crucial than the innovativeness of the culture and exhibition venues. Thirdly, emotional factors are the most significant in influencing revisits. Thus, this study highlights the importance of tailoring user experience assessments to the consumption characteristics of Generation Z, offering concrete improvements and recommendations.

        내시경직시하 세침흡인세포진검사로 진단된 상부위장관종양

        The endoscopic fine needle aspiration cytology may add to the diagnostic accuracy of endoscopic biopsy and brush cytology. It is also of particular value in submucosal, infiltrative and ulceronecrotic tumors. Endoscopic fine needle aspiration cytology was done with sclerotherapy needle(23 gauge) in. the 17 patients with submucosal tumor(18 cases), extrinsic compression(2 cases), infiltrative gastric cancer(one case) and cancer of the ampulla of Vater(one case) on the upper gastrointestinal endoscopy. Endoscopic fine needle aspiration cytology established the diagnosis in 6 cases(submucosal tumor of the stomach; 2 cases, submucosal tumor of the duodenum; one case, extrinsic mass of the duodenum; one case, infiltrative cancer of the stomach; one case, and the cancer of ampulla of Vater; one case) of 17 cases. There were negative results for malignancy in 7 cases and material insufficiency in 4 cases. Five cases of the positive results with endoscopic fine needle aspiration cytology were not diagnosed with endoscopic forceps biopsies. There was no complication. We conclude that endoscopic fine needle aspiration cytology is a simple and safe technique and is of particular value in submucosal tumor, extrinsic compression of the upper gastrointestinal tract by tumor, and infiltrative gastric cancer.

        뇌졸중 위험인자를 가진 어지럼 환자에서의 확산강조 자기공명영상

        Background: The management of vertiginous patients is a great challenge to emergency physicians. We evaluated the diagnostic value of a diffusion-weighted image(DWI) in differentiating central vertigo from the peripheral vertigo in patients who presented no neurological symptoms other than risk factors for stroke. Methods: From March 2000 to February 2001, we retrospectively analyzed the cases of 68 patients who visited the emergency department with symptoms of isolated vertigo and who had risk factors for stroke. DWIs, computed tomograms(CT), and medical records were reviewed, and the final diagnose, the DWIs and the CT readings, the risk factors for stroke, and the time it took waiting for a DWI or CT scan were analyzed. Results: Of the 68 patients, 21(30.8%) had central vertigo: 15 vertebrobasilar transient ischemic attacks(VB-TIA), 4 brain stem infarctions, 1 cerebellar infarction, and 1 cerebellopeduncular infarction. The DWI showed a 28.6% sensitivity, a 97.9% specificity, and an 85.7% positive predictive value in diagnosing central vertigo. It also had a 100% sensitivity in detecting infarctions. Conclusion: A DWI had a comparable sensitivity to MRI in detecting central vertigo and small, but potentially, lethal infarctions in our patient population. We recommend clinical application of DWI in the emergency department evaluation of isolated vertigo patients with risk factors for stroke.

        Effects of Exercise Training and Selenium on MCT1 and MCT4 Protein Levels in Skeletal Muscles of Diabetic Goto-Kakizaki Rats

        이 연구는 지구성 운동과 셀레니움 투여가 Goto-Kakizaki 쥐의 젖산수송 능력에 독립적으로 혹은 상호작용하여 영향을 미치는가를 구명하는데 그 목적이 있다. 실험동물들의 집단은 비교집단(n=10, SED), 지구성 운동집단(n=10, EXER), 셀레니움 투여집단(n=10, SELE)과 지구성 운동과 셀레니움 투여 병행 집단(n=10, COMBI)으로 분류하여 6주간 실험을 실시하였다. 6주간 실험 처치 후 체중은 비교집단에 비해 지구성 운동집단, 셀레니움 투여집단과 지구성 운동과 셀레니움 투여 병행 집단이 현저하게 감소하였으며 당 부하검사를 실시한 결과에서도 비교집단에 비해 지구성 운동집단, 셀레니움 투여집단과 지구성 운동과 셀레니움 투여 병행 집단이 90분과 120분 사이에서 혈당 수준이 유의한 낮은 것으로 나타났다. 간 글리코겐 수준은 비교집단과 셀레니움 투여집단에 비해지구성 운동집단과 지구성 운동과 셀레니움 투여 병행 집단이 유의하게 높은 것으로 나타났다. 가자미근과 족저근의 글리코겐 수준도 비교집단과 셀레니움 투여집단에 비해 지구성 운동집단과 지구성 운동과 셀레니움 투여병행 집단이 현저하게 높은 것으로 나타났다. 혈액 생화학 성분의 경우, 지구성 운동집단, 셀레니움 투여집단과 지구성 운동과 셀레니움 투여 병행 집단이 비교집단에 비해 고밀도 지단백 수준 증가와 함께 혈장 젖산, 혈청중성지방, 인슐린, 총 콜레스테롤과 HOMA-IR 수준이 현저하게 감소한 것으로 나타났다. 특히 혈청 중성지방수준은 지구성 운동집단과 지구성 운동과 셀레니움 투여 병행 집단이 셀레니움 투여집단에 비해 유의하게 낮은것으로 나타났다. 이 연구에 가장 중요한 결과는 혈당과 젖산 수송과 관련된 단백질 발현 수준이 6주간의 실험처치 후에 지구성 운동집단, 셀레니움 투여집단과 지구성 운동과 셀레니움 투여 병행 집단이 비교집단에 비해 가자미근의 MCT1과 미토콘드리아 MCT1 단백질 발현수준이 현저하게 증가하였다는 결과와 함께 가자미근과 족저근의 MCT4 단백질 발현 수준도 지구성 운동집단, 셀레니움 투여집단과 지구성 운동과 셀레니움 투여 병행 집단이 비교집단에 비해 현저하게 증가하였다는 결과이다. 이러한 결과를 근거로 볼 때 지구성 운동과 셀레니움 투여는 독립적으로 혹은 상호작용하여 혈당과 젖산수송 능력을 개선시키는데 도움이 된다는 것을 알 수 있으며 특히 인슐린 저항 특성과 함께 고젖산혈증을 나타내는 제 Ⅱ형 당뇨 환자들의 당뇨 처치를 위한 방법으로 활용할 만한 가치가 있는 것으로 생각된다. The purpose of this study was to determine the possible additive effects of endurance exercise train-ing (EXER) and selenium (SELE) on the improvements of glucose and lactate transport capacities in diabetic Goto-kakizaki rats. Animals either remained sedentary control (SED) or performed EXER orreceived SELE [5μmol kg body wt (-1) day (-1)], or underwent both EXER and SELE (COMBI), which lasted for 6 wk. Compared with sedentary control, EXER alone or the SELE alone group, or the combined treatment group had significant reduction in glucose response measured at 90 min and 120 min during an intraperitoneal glucose tolerance test (IPGTT) and body weight after 6week treatment. EXER alone, or combined group individually had significantly higher glycogen contents in liver com-pared with SED or SELE groups. EXER alone increased glycogen content in soleus and plantaris compared with SED, and this parameter was increased to greatest extent in the combined treatment groups compared with SED or SELE groups. EXER alone, SELE alone or COMBI, caused significant decreases in the plasma lactates, serum glucose, insulin, total cholesterol and HOMA-IR along with a significant increase in high-density lipoprotein cholesterol compared with SED. In addition, EXER or COMBI individually had significantly lower serum triacylglycerol compared with SED or SELE. With respect to protein expression related to glucose and lactate transport capacities, EXER alone, SELE alone, or COMBI increased in MCT1 and MCT4 protein level in soleus and plantaris. Furthermore, EXER alone, SELE alone or COMBI caused significant increases in mt MCT1 protein level in soleus and plantaris. The findings of the current study suggest that endurance exercise training and selenium treatment may provide therapeutic values to type II diabetic patients with peripheral insulin resistance and hyperlactatecemia by improving glucose and lactate transport capacities, leading to improvements in plasma lactate, serum glucose, insulin and lipid profiles (TC, TG, HDL).

        종자산업법 제정 이전의 우리나라 종자관리 법령과 제도의 변천

        The history of development of seed management in Korea can be broadly divided into the periods of pre-enlightenment (Joseon Dynasty), enlightenment, Japanese colonial occupation, after liberation, installation of the National Seed Supply Office, and the Seed Industry Act. During the Joseon Dynasty, quite a few agricultural books had been published. With the signing of the Korea-U.S. Trade Treaty in the late 19th century, the Agriculture and Livestock Experimental Station was established, and subsequently many varieties were introduced from the U.S. and tested in the station. The Agricultural Exemplary Testing Station, founded in Suwon by the Japanese Resident General in 1906 as a national agricultural research facility, was a hub in colonial agricultural research and food production. In order to expand agricultural productivity, the Regulations on Subsidization of Rice Seed Production was enacted in 1922. This carried out nation-wide seed production and supply projects, and established a seed multiplication system. After liberation, the seed management system of food crops was enacted under the Major Crop Seed Act (1962). The Agricultural Seeds and Seedlings Act (1962) was enacted for vegetables and other crops, and then the Seedlings Management Act (1973) replaced it. In 1974, the National Seed Supply Office was established as an institution that supplies high quality seeds for food self-sufficiency with support of the FAO and IBRD. Then, by introducing the variety protection system under the Seed Industry Act (1997), Korea was able to reform the national seed management system and prepare an opportunity to join the ranks of developed countries.

        The Determination of the Duration of Electroconvulsive Therapy-Induced Seizure Using Local Standard Deviation of the Electroencephalogram Signal and the Changes of the RR Interval of Electrocardiogram

        Objectives In electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) research and practice, the precise determination of seizure duration is important in the evaluation of clinical relevance of the ECT-induced seizure. In this study, we have developed computerized algorithms to assess the duration of ECT-induced seizure. Methods Subjects included 5 males and 6 females, with the mean age of 33.1 years. Total 55 ECT sessions were included in the analysis. We analyzed the standard deviation of a finite block of electroencephalography (EEG) data and the change in the local slope of RR intervals in electrocardiography (ECG) signals during ECT-induced seizure. And then, we compared the calculated seizure durations from EEG recording (EEG algorithm) and ECG recording (ECG algorithm) with values determined by consensus of clinicians based on the recorded EEG (EEG consensus), as a gold standard criterion, in order to testify the computational validity of our algorithms. Results The mean seizure durations calculated by each method were not significantly different in sessions with abrupt flattened postictal suppression and in sessions with non-abrupt flattened postictal suppression. The intraclass correlation coefficients (95% confidence interval) of the three methods (EEG algorithm, ECG algorithm, EEG consensus) were significant in the total sessions [0.79 (0.70-0.86)], the abrupt flattened postictal suppression sessions [0.84 (0.74-0.91)], and the non-abrupt flattened postictal suppression sessions [0.67 (0.45-0.84)]. Correlations between three methods were also statistically significant, regardless of abruptness of transition. Conclusions Our proposed algorithms could reliably measure the duration of ECT-induced seizure, even in sessions with non-abrupt transitions to flat postictal suppression, in which it is typically difficult to determine the seizure duration.

        Exposure to Volatile Organic Compounds and Possibility of Exposure to By-product Volatile Organic Compounds in Photolithography Processes in Semiconductor Manufacturing Factories

        Objectives: The purpose of this study was to measure the concentration of volatile organic compound (VOC)s originated from the chemicals used and/or derived from the original parental chemicals in the photolithography processes of semiconductor manufacturing factories. Methods: A total of four photolithography processes in 4 Fabs at three different semiconductor manufacturing factories in Korea were selected for this study. This study investigated the types of chemicals used and generated during the photolithography process of each Fab, and the concentration levels of VOCs for each Fab. Results: A variety of organic compounds such as ketone, alcohol, and acetate compounds as well as aromatic compounds were used as solvents and developing agents in the processes. Also, the generation of by-products, such as toluene and phenol, was identified through a thermal decomposition experiment performed on a photoresist. The VOC concentration levels in the processes were lower than 5% of the threshold limit value (TLV)s. However, the air contaminated with chemical substances generated during the processes was re-circulated through the ventilation system, thereby affecting the airborne VOC concentrations in the photolithography processes. Conclusion: Tens of organic compounds were being used in the photolithography processes, though the types of chemical used varied with the factory. Also, by-products, such as aromatic compounds, could be generated during photoresist patterning by exposure to light. Although the airborne VOC concentrations resulting from the processes were lower than 5% of the TLVs, employees still could be exposed directly or indirectly to various types of VOCs.

        A Bivalent Inactivated Vaccine Prevents Enterovirus 71 and Coxsackievirus A16 Infections in the Mongolian Gerbil

        Hand-foot-and-mouth disease (HFMD) is a viral infectious disease that occurs in children under 5 years of age. Its main causes are coxsackievirus (CV) and enterovirus (EV). Since there are no efficient therapeutics for HFMD, vaccines are effective in preventing the disease. To develop broad coverage against CV and EV, the development of a bivalent vaccine form is needed. The Mongolian gerbil is an efficient and suitable animal model of EV71 C4a and CVA16 infection used to investigate vaccine efficacy following direct immunization. In this study, Mongolian gerbils were immunized with a bivalent inactivated EV71 C4a and inactivated CVA16 vaccine to test their effectiveness against viral infection. Bivalent vaccine immunization resulted in increased Ag-specific IgG antibody production; specifically, EV71 C4a-specific IgG was increased with medium and high doses and CVA16-specific IgG was increased with all doses of immunization. When gene expression of T cell-biased cytokines was analysed, Th1, Th2, and Th17 responses were found to be highly activated in the high-dose immunization group. Moreover, bivalent vaccine immunization mitigated paralytic signs and increased the survival rate following lethal viral challenges. When the viral RNA content was determined from various organs, all three doses of bivalent vaccine immunization were found to significantly decrease viral amplification. Upon histologic examination, EV71 C4a and CVA16 induced tissue damage to the heart and muscle. However, bivalent vaccine immunization alleviated this in a dose-dependent manner. These results suggest that the bivalent inactivated EV71 C4a/CVA16 vaccine could be a safe and effective candidate HFMD vaccine.

        Mineralized hyaluronic acid nanoparticles as a robust drug carrier

        <P>Hyaluronic acid nanoparticles (HA-NPs), mineralized by calcium phosphate, were synthesized as a robust carrier of the anticancer drug, doxorubicin (DOX). The HA-NPs were readily mineralized in the presence of calcium nitrate and ammonium phosphate, which was confirmed by various instruments such as FT-IR, thermogravimetric analysis, transmission electron microscopy, and energy-dispersive X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. Mineralization reduced the particle size of the HA-NPs in PBS (pH 7.4) from 263 nm to 142 nm, indicating the formation of compact nanoparticles. Mineralized HA-NPs were highly stable at pH 7.4, whereas their particle size rapidly increased in a mildly acidic solution, which was due to the dissolution of calcium phosphate. When DOX-loaded bare HA-NPs were exposed to buffer solutions of various pH, most of the DOX (>80%) was released within 48 h, and the release behavior was not dependent upon the pH of the solution. Notably, the mineralized HA-NPs released DOX in a sustained manner at pH 7.4, whereas a rapid release of DOX was observed in the acidic solution. The release rate of DOX from the mineralized HA-NPs was higher in the solution with a lower pH. These results indicate that mineralized HA-NPs have potential as robust nanoparticles that can release DOX at specific sites under mildly acidic conditions, such as in the extracellular matrix of tumor tissue and in intracellular compartments (<I>e.g.</I>, endosome and lysosome) of the cell.</P> <P>Graphic Abstract</P><P>The mineralized hyaluronic acid nanoparticles have potential as the robust carrier that can release hydrophobic drugs at specific sites under mildly acidic conditions. <IMG SRC='http://pubs.rsc.org/services/images/RSCpubs.ePlatform.Service.FreeContent.ImageService.svc/ImageService/image/GA?id=c1jm10466g'> </P>

        The Neovascularization Effect of Bone Marrow Stromal Cells in Temporal Muscle after Encephalomyosynangiosis in Chronic Cerebral Ischemic Rats

        Objective : In Moyamoya disease, the primary goal of treatment is to improve collateral circulation through angiogenesis. In the present study, we obtained and sub-cultured bone marrow stromal cells (BMSCs) from rats without a cell-mediated immune response. Then, we injected the labeled BMSCs directly into adjacent temporal muscle during encephalomyosynangiosis (EMS). Three weeks after BMSC transplantation, we examined the survival of the cells and the extent of neovascularization. Methods : We divided 20 rats into a BMSC transplantation group (n=12) and a control group (n=8). Seven days after the induction of chronic cerebral ischemia, an EMS operation was performed, and labeled BMSCs ($1{\times}106^6/100\;{\mu}L$) were injected in the temporal muscle for the transplantation group, while an equivalent amount of culture solution was injected for the control group. Three weeks after the transplantation, temporal muscle and brain tissue were collected for histological examination and western blot analysis. Results : The capillary/muscle ratio in the temporal muscle was increased in the BMSC transplantation group compared to the control group, showing a greater increase of angiogenesis (p<0.05). In the brain tissue, angiogenesis was not significantly different between the two groups. The injected BMSCs in the temporal muscle were vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF)-positive by immunofluorescence staining. In both temporal muscle and brain tissue, the expression of VEGF by western blot analysis was not much different between the two groups. Conclusion : During EMS in a chronic cerebral ischemia rat model, the injection of BMSCs resulted in accelerated angiogenesis in the temporal muscle compared to the control group.
