        동일한 시료에 대한 국내 기관간의 STR 분석결과 비교 : STR 유전자좌 분석법의 표준화 설정을 위하여

        This paper described a collaborative exercise intended to see what kinds of short tandem repeat (STR) loci are used in different DNA typing laboratories in Korea and to compare their results for the demonstration whether uniformity of DNA profiling results from different laboratory could be achieved in Korea Laboratories were asked to test five tissue DNAs using methods routinely used in each laboratory and to report the results to the coordinating laboratory. The exercise demonstrated that each laboratory was using different STR loci for the typing with different STR numbers,2 VNTRS,36 STRs and amelogenin in total, and the direct comparison of the results from all the laboratory for the 18 loci could not be done as only one laboratory submitted typing results. Among 21 loci for which several laboratories submitted typing results, results for 14 loci were the same and results for the other 7 loci were different depending on the participating laboratory. D1S80, F13A01, D16S539, D21S11, D18S51, D3S1744 were the loci with different typing results. Even in the cases where commercial kits were used, the results were not the same depending on the machines used, that is the capillary electrophoresis or the gel based electrophoresis. The reason for the different results, points about the standardization of the methods arid the profiling data were described.

      • 肥肉豚의 血液化學値에 關한 硏究

        全羅南道 順天地方을 中心으로 한 養豚場에서 出荷된 肥肉豚을 對象으로 血液化學値를 調査했다. 돼지의 年齡은 7個月부터 13個月이었으며, 總 276頭(♀ 181,♂ 95)를 對象으로 屠畜場에서 採血했는데 Landrace와 Berkshire의 一代難種이 大部分이었다. 한편 本 實驗에서 使用한 무??豚은 모두가 去勢한 것이었다. 1. 測定한 血液化學値는 血淸?萄糖量, 血淸總蛋白量, ablumin量, globulin量, 血淸尿素?素量, 血淸 cholesterol量, calcium量, 無機燐量, 血淸 transaminase(SGOT와 SGPT)等이었다. 2. 本 調査에서 나타난 각종 血液化學値의 範圍 및 平均値는 이미 報告된 結果와 거의 一致하였다. 3. 血淸cholesterol量은 性別差가 없었고 겨울에 높은値를 보인 反面, 여름과 가을에는 낮은 치를 보였다. 4. 血淸總蛋白量의 季節的變動은 globulin量의 變動에 起因한 것이었고, globulin量은 全般的으로 높게 나타났는데 特히 여름철의 增加가 뚜렷했다. Samples of blood were taken from 276 fattening pigs(181 intact females and 95 castrated males) at slaughter and serum chemical values were determined. The pigs were from Suncheone area, Chonnam Province; their age ranged 7 to 13 months; most of them were crossbreds of Landrace and Berkshire. 1. Determined blood chemical values in the prestent study were glucose, total protein, albumin, globulin, serum urea nitrogen, cholesterol, calcuim, phosphorus, serum glutamin oxalacetic transaminase and serum glutamic pyruvic transaminase. 2. The ranges and means of the chemical values in the present study were reconcilable with the normal values previously reported. 3. Sex differences between castrated males and intact prepubertal females were not observed in serum cholesteol levels. There were significant differences between the means of seasons, with the higher cholesterol values being observed during the winter as compared with summer and fall. 4. Seasonal changes of total protein cantent were due to the seasonal changes of globulin values. The globulin values in the present study were higher than those reported previously by others; the values were highest during summer season.

        새로운 반복단위에 의한 GABARB1 유전좌의 염기서열다형성과 한국인에서 대립 유전자의 빈도

        To determine allele frequency of GABARB1 Jcus in Korean, first, we sequenced each allele, which was amplified with primers that published before. We found mismatching between allele number and size of each allele when 'GATA' repeats are counted. The sequence revealed new 'GATA' repeat. So we had made new allele designation with total number of in 176 Korean people. The heterozygosity this locus was 0.716 and mean exclusion chance (MEC) and power of discrimination (PD) were 0.433 and 0.845, respectively. In this study, we emphasized necessity of sequencing of 2-3 alleles, which have same size before setting up allelic ladder.

        접촉각 측정을 통한 Alkanethiol로 표면 처리한 은 분말의 표면 특성 연구

        은 분말을 alkanethiol로 표면 처리한 후, alkanethiol의 탄소 개수 변화에 따른 은 입자의 표면 특성변화를 접촉각 측정을 통해 연구하였다. 이때 은 입자 표면에 alkanethiol의 흡착여부를 DRIFT (diffuse reflectance infrared fourier transform) spectrum를 통해 확인하였다. 접촉각은 Washburn 식을 바탕으로 한 liquid penetration 방법으로 측정하였고, 이 측정법의 보완을 위해 분말에 압력을 가하여 원판형태로 만들어 그 표면에서 접촉각을 측정하는 sessile drop 방법을 함께 사용하였다. 그 결과 순수한 은 입자의 물에 대한 접촉각은 두 가지 방법에 대해 각각 58°, 40° 나왔고, 다양한 탄소개수(C_(4)-C_(12))의 alkanethiol로 표면 처리한 입자는 모두 90° 이상의 결과를 얻었다. 즉 alkanethiol로 처리한 은 입자의 표면이 소수성으로 변했음을 의미한다. 여기서 처리한 alkanethiol의 탄소개수가 증가할수록 접촉각은 계속 증가했으나, 접촉각의 증가 폭은 상대적으로 점차 감소하였다. Contact angles of silver powders were measured for investigation of surface properties of silver particles as changing alkyl chain length of alkanethiol. Silver powders were modified by various alkanethiol (C4∼C12). Adsorption of alkanethiol on silver particles was confirmed by DRIFT (diffuse reflectance infrared fourier transform) spectrum. Contact angles were measured by liquid penetration method based on Washbum equation and sessile drop method on tablet of compressed powder. In result. the value of contact angles on water were 53°, 40°about two method. Contact angles of surface treated particles by alkanethiol of varied alkyl chain length were larger than 90°. Because of bonding between silver and sulfur in alkanethiol, silver surface was surrounded by alkyl groups of alkanethiol. Surface properties of silver particles were increased on hydrophobicity with alkyl chain length of alkanethiol. In comparison with increase of contact angle accordingto increase of alkyl chain length of alkanethiol. the widths of increasing contact angle were relatively decreased.

        STR 유전자의 개인식별력 측정을 위한 통계량

        When we intend to do the personal identification using DNA profiles, it will obviously be better to use as much information as possible. The power of identification is increased by using the genetic marker system such as VNTRs or STRs. Although STRs do not have many alleles per locus as VNTRs, these can be compensated by a large number of loci that are potentially usable. However, it will be more efficient to use a morphic loci. Therefore, prior to choose the genetic marker system of STRs for identification, it is essential to consider the statistical parameters of each STR locus, such as obs-H(observed heterozygosity), exp-H(expected heterozygosity), pM(probability of match), DI(discrimination index), PD(power of discrimination), MEC(mean exclusion chance), MEP(mean exclusion paternity), PIC(polymorphic information content) et al. In this article, we described the exact meaning of statistical parameters for the purpose of identification.

      • 경찰공무원의 임파워먼트가 직무만족에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구

        임파워먼트는 직무에 대한 불만, 사기저하, 근무의 비능률성, 잘못된 직무수행, 위험스런 업무의 회피 등의 해결방안으로 표현되고 있고, 대부분의 관리자들이 임파워먼트의 장점을 이해하고 도입을 환영하고 있다. 임파워먼트를 실시하는 것은 권한이 하부로 상당히 이양되는 것으로 경찰관리자가 부하직원이 잠재력을 개발하도록 인식하고 실행하는 것으로 경찰조직에서 반드시 필요하다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 경찰공무원의 임파워먼트가 직무만족에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 실질적으로 파악하는데 연구의 목적이 있으며, 그 결과로서 경찰공무원의 임파워먼트가 높을수록 구성원들의 직무만족도는 높은 것으로 밝혀졌다. In this situations, the employees autonomy and creativity within the organization are as important as the real change at the individual level. One of the most important management techniques is considered to be the empowerment for this. The objectives of this study are to examine the theoretical frame of the concept of psychological empowerment(meaning, competence, self-determination, impact), and how empowerment of individual level of police officers influence on job satisfaction. The methodology used in this study is based largely on the theory of G. M. Spreitzer. A questionaire comprises two catagories; empowerment and job satisfaction. Empowerment related questionaire comprised four variables; meaning, competence, self-determination, impact). And, job satisfaction questionaire includes some statements on effect factors which represent the relationship between the job attitudes and the resulting behaviors.

      • 생체분해성 고분자의 특성 및 의학적 응용

        "Biomaterials" are nonviable materials used in medical devices, intended to interact with biological systems. They should have "biocompativility", which is defined as the ability of materials to perform with an appropriate host response in a specific application. It includes many materials that are often classified as biomaterials. Metals, ceramics, polymers, glasses, carbons, and composite materials are some examples. Among them, biodegradable polymers are discussed in this revies article. Since a biodegradable polymeric implant does not have to be removed surgically once it is no longer needed, biodegradable polymers are of value in short-term applications that require only the temporary presence of a polymeric implant. Main short-term medical applications of biodegradable polymers include the temporary tissue scaffold, the temporary adhesion barrier, the drug delivery device, and the multifunctional implant. In this article, the properties, processing methods, and medical applications of the biodegradable polymers are reviewed.

      • 바나듐 산화막을 활용한 습도센서의 제조에 관한 연구

        Vanadium oxides have been widely used in a variety of technological applications such electrochromic devices as infrared detectors and are expected as a material suitable for gas sensing applications. Thin films of Vanadium oxide (VOx) have been deposited by r.f magnetron sputtering under different oxygen partial pressure ratios(0%, 10%) and substrate temperatures(27℃, 400℃). Humidity-sensitive properties of resistive sensors having interdigitated electrode structure are characterized. Our sensors show good response to humidity over 20%RH to 80%RH Vanadium oxide films deposited with 0%O2 partial pressure at 400℃ exhibit greater sensitivity to humidity change than others.
