<▼1><P>A newly synthesized small molecule donor, BDTT-2DPPBFu, is designed for incorporation into the photo-active layer in solution-processed small molecule organic photovoltaics (SM-OPVs).</P></▼1><▼2><P>A newly synthesized small molecule donor, BDTT-2DPPBFu, is designed for incorporation into the photo-active layer in solution-processed small molecule organic photovoltaics (SM-OPVs). The effects of a solvent additive (1-chloronaphthalene, CN) on the bulk heterojunction morphology of a BDTT-2DPPBFu donor:fullerene derivative acceptor (PC71BM) are investigated and correlated with the device performance. A TEM analysis revealed that the nanomorphology of the SM-OPVs evolved dramatically with increasing solvent additive volume. With an optimum concentration of 2.5 vol% CN, a nanomorphology with a fibrillar and interpenetrating network on the order of exciton diffusion length (∼10–15 nm) is formed, resulting in improvement of the short-circuit current density, fill factor, and power conversion efficiency. Further GIWAXS studies have shown that the π–π stacking distance of BDTT-2DPPBFu small molecules is reduced and the inter-mixing of PC71BM within the BDTT-2DPPBFu-rich phase in the photo-active layer processed from 2.5 vol% CN is increased, leading to enhanced charge transport and reduced charge recombination and transfer resistance. The present work provides important progress in the nanomorphology of the photo-active layer, which can be effectively tuned <I>via</I> the use of a solvent additive in SM-OPVs.</P></▼2>

<P>A series of new conjugated polymers based on the asymmetric benzo[1,2-b:4,5-b']dithiophene (BDT) unit were designed and synthesized for use in bulk-heterojunction polymer solar cells. Each Side chain of the BDT was tuned by introducing alkyl and alkoxy groups. The best solar cell efficiency was achieved in an asymmetric polymer device based on 4-octyl-8-octyloxy-BDT (7.64% PCE), which performed better than devices based on the symmetric dioctyl-BDT (6.48% PCE) or dioctyloxy-BDT (7.18% PCE). Further modification of the side chains, replacing octyloxy with butoxydiethoxy, improved the PCE to 8.12% due to the enhanced hole mobility, hole/electron mobility balance, and formation of tight contacts with the PEDOT:PSS layer. The effects of the side chains on the polymer HOMO energy levels and photovoltaic parameters Were investigated.</P>
Unsupervised Outpatients Clustering: A Case Study in Avissawella Base Hospital, Sri Lanka

Nowadays, Electronic Medical Record (EMR) has just implemented at few hospitals for Outpatient Department (OPD). OPD is the diversified data, it includes demographic and diseases of patient, so it need to be clustered in order to explore the hidden rules and the relationship of data types of patient's information. In this paper, we propose a novel approach for unsupervised clustering of patient's demographic and diseases in OPD. Firstly, we collect data from a hospital at OPD. Then, we preprocess and transform data by using powerful techniques such as standardization, label encoder, and categorical encoder. After obtaining transformed data, we use some strong experiments, techniques, and evaluation to select the best number of clusters and best clustering algorithm. In addition, we use some tests and measurements to analyze and evaluate cluster tendency, models, and algorithms. Finally, we obtain the results to analyze and discover new knowledge, meanings, and rules. Clusters that are found out in this research provide knowledge to medical managers and doctors. From these information, they can improve the patient management methods, patient arrangement methods, and doctor's ability. In addition, it is a reference for medical data scientist to mine OPD dataset.

A series of poly(glycerol-succinic acid) dithiocarbamate and 1,3,4-thiadiazole dendrimers, which have potential as anti-wear oil additives, were synthesized. Their anti-wear properties in three different oils (100N, DB-51, and soybean) were evaluated using a four-ball wear tester. The results indicated that thiocarbamate dendrimers have moderate anti-wear properties in DB-51 oil, and 1,3,4-thiadiazole dendrimers exhibited good anti-wear properties in 100N and DB-51 oils. However, dithiocarbamate and 1,3,4-thiadiazole dendrimers were not effective anti-wear additives in soybean oil.
Near-Optimal Algorithm for Group Scheduling in OBS Networks

Group scheduling is an operation whereby control packets arriving in a time slot schedule their bursts simultaneously. Normally, those bursts that are of the same wavelength are scheduled on the same channel. In cases where the support of full wavelength converters is available, such scheduling can be performed on multiple channels for those bursts that are of an arbitrary wavelength. This paper presents a new algorithm for group scheduling on multiple channels. In our approach, to reach a near-optimal schedule, a maximum-weight clique needs to be determined; thus, we propose an additional algorithm for this purpose. Analysis and simulation results indicate that an optimal schedule is almost attainable, while the complexity of computation and that of implementation are reduced.

This paper demonstrates how to implement inherent pitching stability in an insect-mimicking flapping-wing system for vertical takeoff. Design and fabrication of the insect-mimicking flapping-wing system is briefly described focusing on the recent modification. Force produced by the flapping-wing systems is estimated using the UBET (Unsteady Blade Element Theory) developed in the previous work. The estimation shows that the wing twist placed in the modified system can improve thrust production for about 10 %. The estimated thrust is compared with the measured thrust, which proves that the UBET provides fairly good estimations for the thrust produced by the flapping-wing systems. The vertical takeoff test shows that inherent pitching stability can be implemented in an insect-mimicking flapping-wing system by aligning the aerodynamic force center and center of gravity.

Two experiments were conducted to investigate the effect of dietary supplementation of Bacillus, Saccharomyces and lactic acid bacteria (LAB) on performance and nutrient digestibility in grower and finisher pigs. In Exp. 1, 80 pigs (32 females and 48 males), $28.7{\pm}0.9\;kg$ body weight (BW), were randomly divided into 4 treatment groups balanced for sex and weight (5 pigs per pen, 4 pens per treatment). They were fed one of four diets: a basal grower (20-50 kg BW) and finisher (>50 kg BW) diet without any addition of probiotic or antibiotic (diet C), the basal diet supplemented with Bacillus subtilis H4 (diet B), diet B supplemented with Saccharomyces boulardi Sb (diet BS) and diet BS supplemented with a LAB complex (diet BSL). The LAB complex consisted of Enterococcus faecium 6H2, Lactobacillus acidophilus C3, Pediococcus pentosaceus D7, and Lactobacillus fermentum NC1. In Exp. 2, 16 male pigs, $29.2{\pm}0.8\;kg$ BW, were kept in individual pens and divided into 4 groups (4 pigs in each group). All 4 groups were given exactly the same growing-period diets (diet C, B, BS and BSL) as in Exp 1. The total faeces and urine were collected during 5 days (day 20-24) to determine nitrogen retention and total tract digestibility. In the growing period, average daily feed intake (ADFI), average daily gain (ADG) and feed conversion ratio (FCR) were not affected by diet B and BS (p>0.05), but ADG increased (+5.9%) (p<0.05) and FCR improved (+5.9%) (p<0.05) on diet BSL compared with the control, although ADFI was not different (p>0.05). Digestibility of crude protein and organic matter was higher (p<0.05) in diet BSL and digestibility of crude fibre was higher (p<0.05) in diet BS and BSL than in diet C. Nitrogen retention was not affected by diet (p>0.05). The faecal LAB counts were increased in grower pigs fed diet BSL (p<0.05) and faecal E. coli counts were decreased in pigs fed diets BS and BSL (p<0.05). In the finishing period, no effects of diet were found in ADFI, ADG, FCR, nutrient digestibility, and nitrogen retention (p>0.05). Faecal LAB and E. coli counts in the finisher pigs were not affected by diet (p>0.05). In conclusion, the current study demonstrates that a mixture of bacteria and yeast has the potential to be used as a probiotic dietary supplement in grower pigs.
