Although mammalian sperms are cryopreserved for in vitro fertilization a process of cryopreservation decreases the fertility. Acrosome reaction requires depolarization-induced ca^(2+) influx and ca^(2+) releases from the ca^(2+) stores. To examine whether the cellular ca^(2+) mobilization is altered by a sperm cryopreservation we compared cytosolic ca^(2+) signals between fresh and cryopreserved pig sperms using confocal ca^(2+) imaging. The magnitudes of depolarization-induced ca^(2+) increases were significantly smaller in cryopreserved sperms. Exposures to 10 mM caffeine or 5 μM thapsigargin elicited less ca^(2+) increases in the cryopreserved sperms compared to fresh sperms. In addition, progesterone-triggered ca^(2+) rises, that are thought to enhance acrosome reaction, were completely abolished in the cryopreserved sperms. These results suggest that storage and(/or) release of ca^(2+) from the intracellular ca^(2+) stores in pig sperms are significantly impaired by the process of cryopreservation.

지방자치제가 본격적으로 시행되면서 각 지역의 위상에 재조명되고 있고, 이에 발맞추어 교육의 지역화 논의도 활발하게 진행되고 있다. 세계화 및 지방화 시대의 변화는 각 지역의 고유성을 더욱 부각시키고 있으며, 그를 통한 지역정체성의 함양이 세계화 및 지방화 시대에 잘 적응할 수 있는 기본적 토양이라는 인식이 널리 확산되고 있다. 소위 교육과정의 지역화는 이러한 추세를 반영하는 하나의 교육적 전략으로써 제시되고 있는 것이다. 교육과정의 지역화가 성공하기 위해서는 지역에 흩어져 있는 교육 자료들을 잘 수집하고, 이를 적절한 교수-학습 방법을 통하여 학생들에게 잘 전달해 줄 수 있어야 한다. 사회과에서 오래 전부터 다루고 있는 향토교육은, 비록 지금까지는 크게 주목받지 못하여 온 것이 사실이나, 이러한 시대적 요구에 잘 부응할 수 있는 내용과 방법이라고 보여진다. 따라서 향토교육의 목표와 내용을 시대적 변화에 맞게 재구성하는 작업이 시급히 요망되는데, 이를 위해서는 무엇보다도 교사들의 적극적인 역할이 필요하다. 단순한 지역지식의 전달을 위한 매개자로서의 기능이 아니라, 향토교육과 관련된 교육과정 및 내용의 선정, 그리고 새로운 교수-학습방법의 개발 등을 통합적으로 관장하는 격상된 역할이 요망되는 것이다. 또한 지역 교육청과 같은 관급 기관들도 행정적, 재정적 지원을 통해서 향토교육의 발전을 위해서 기여해야 한다. 교사, 학생, 그리고 학교와 관급 기관의 유기적인 협조를 통해서만이 바람직한 향토교육이 이루어질 수 있는 것이다.
한국인의 후천성면역결핍증 발병위험집단에서의 Human Immunodeficiency Virus(HIV)에 관한 혈청역학적 연구

The sera from the risk group of acquired immnunodeficienty syndrome(AIDS) in Korea were tested for anti-human immunodeficiency virus(HIV) antibody utilizing several serologi techniques The purposes f tis study were to investigate the presence of HIV in our country through demonstration of anti-HIV antibody and to evaluate the techniques used in this study and also to establish the antibody test system which is reliable as wel1 as simple. All sera to be tested were heat treated(56℃,30min) and diluted in 1 32 with phosphate buffered saline(PBS 0.01M, pH 72) Primarilly sera were tested by indirect immunofluorescent antibody-(IFA) technique and some sera were further tested by western blot or fluorescence reduction neutradization(FRN) tests if the score can not be made by preliminary IFA test. 40 male homosexuals, 560 prostitutes. 23 hemophiliacs and 852 venereal disease patients were tested. None of these showed positive for anti-HIV antibody This result indicates that the prevalence of HIV in Korea is still very low at present time The methods used in this study could be established for detection of anti-HIV antibody Espicially. JFA test using HIV infected TALL-1 cells was sensitive specific enough and simple as well system by western blot and FRN tests followed by IFA screening could be emyployed for seroepi-demiological study of HIV.
초소성 알루미늄합금(Al-6%Cu-0.4%Zr, Al7475)의 미세조직 변화 및 초소성 인장시험

This study examined microstructures with SPF(superplastic forming) temperatues and strain amount in a superplastic aluminum alloys, Supral 100(Al-6%Cu-0.4%Zr) and Al 7475, The SPF temperature of Supral 100 was estimated as 450℃ using m value and flow stress by superplastic tensile test. The microstructures were evaluated with temperature changes just before superplastic deformation in static recrystallization experiments, and it was found that amount of recrystallization was small below 425℃ and grain coarsening occured above 475℃ as ZrAl₃precipitation lost in inhibiting ability grain coarsening. Therefore optimum SPF temperature proved 450℃. Beside The SPF temperature of Al 7475 was estimated as 515℃ using m value and flow stress by superplastic tensile test.
Al 7075합금의 열간성형 및 반응고성형 공정에 따른 미세조직과 경도 특성

Various precision forging processes were applied for Al 7075 alloy. Among the each forging parts produced by existing multi-stage forging, improved single-stage forging and thixoforging(new technology of a near-net shape manufacture), thixoforging was excellent at viewpoints of homogeneity and formability. Hardness values of each forging parts produced by single-stage forging and thixoforging process came close to existing multi-stage forging parts. Irregular grain boundary and particle for thixoforging process were homogenized by artificial aging treatment(T6) and the hardness value was increased considerably.

Semi-solid forming is relatively new process for forming alloys in the semi-solid condition into near net produce. It relies on the behaviour of semi-solid slurrys in which the solid exists in the form of non-dendritic, spheroidal particles in a liquid matrix. Powder of the Al-20Si-5Fe-2Ni alloy was manufactured by spray forming and powder metallurgy, one of the rapid cooling method, and its microstructure became fine with several ㎛ size through the extrusion process. Spray forming and powder metallurgy are a rapid solidification process in which capable of producing materials consisted of very fine, uniform particles. Spray forming can be described as incorperating the advantages of powder metallurgy without disadvantages of degassing and consolidation. In this paper, the microstructural evolution of the P/M, S/F Al-20Si-5Fe-2Ni alloys and wrought Al 2024 alloys were investigated various heating conditions by high frequency induction heating system.
급냉응고 Al-20Si-5Fe-2Ni알루미늄 압출재의 가공변수에 따른 미세조직과 기계적 성질

The characteristics of heating were studied on powder metallurgy and spray formed extrudate. After heating over the temperature range 300∼490℃ for 30min. and air cooling, the hardness and the tensile strength were similar to as-extruded state and the growth of primary Si and intermetallic was restricted by higher activation energy of iron. After heating over the temperature range 300∼490℃ for 30min. and water quenching, the hardness increased by induced internal stress. The formability of powder metallurgy and spray formed extrudate was improved as deformation temperature increased. The formability of spray formed extrudate was superior to that of powder metallurgy extrudate about 10% because of the microstructure homogenience.
CdS:In 單結晶의 基本特性과 photosensor로의 應用

The opto-electrical properties of the CdS : In single crystals were studied by these means of the scanning electron microscope, X-ray diffraction, optical transmission & photoconductivity, resitivity variation v.s. impurites, and resitivity v.s. photon flux change. By X-ray diffraction measurement, the structure was found to be hexagonal and the lattice constant was calculated to be a_o=4.13Å and c_o=6.75Å The band gap was estimated to be about 2,419eV (300K). By the transmission measure ments a donor impurity level of In or Al was 0.024eV below the conduction level edge. For the application on the photosensor, the resistivity(ρ) variation of the CdS : In was measured with respect to photon flux(P_o) change and to wavelength, the resistivity was found to be ρ=8.75×10^6P_o^-125 (Ω―㎝/Lux) and the photoconductivity showed its highest response peak between 5,000Å and 5,400Å ranges.
