This paper applied the neural network self-tuning PID controller to its linearized one-machine infinite bus for improvement in the power system stabilization. It ia tried to regulate the optimum parameters of the PID Controller using the learning algorithm of error back propagation. The simulation results show that the proposed control technique is decidedly superior to the conventional ones in dynamic responses about various disturbances arising in the power system.

This research presents a new active auxiliary resonant snubber with for induction heating PWM high frequency inverter solving the problem of induction heating PWM high frequency inverter circuit which is using widely in the practical application of an induction heating apparatus, the soft switching operation and power control are impossible when the lowest power supply in the active auxiliary resonant snubber with for induction heating PWM high frequency inverter. The inverter circuit which is attempted by the on-off operation of a switch has the effect of reducing the power loss due to soft switching and high frequency switching. This confirms that power regulation is possible on a continuous basis from 0.25[kW] to 2.84[kW] where the duty factor(D) changes from 0.08 to 0.3 under zero current switching which operates by an asymmetrical pulse width modulating control. The power conversion efficiency is 95[%]. Due to these results, the active auxiliary resonant snubber for an induction heating PWM high frequency inverter is considered effective as a source of induction heating.

목적: 대퇴비구 충돌 환자에서 비구순 파열의 진단에 있어 초음파의 유용성에 대해 알아보고자 한다. 대상 및 방법: 2010년 3월부터 2011년 10월까지 대퇴비구 충돌로 관절경적 수술을 시행 받은 환자 중 비구순 파열이 확인된 58명(58예: 남자 26예, 여자 32예)을 대상으로 하였다. 대상 환자들은 수술 전 시행된 고관절 초음파 검사와 자기 공명 관절 조영술의 비구순 파열의 유무와 형태를 확인하고 관절경의 비구순 파열과 비교하여 그 상관 관계에 대해 조사하여 초음파의 민감도와 양성 예측률을 측정 하였다. 결과: 대퇴비구 충돌을 동반한 비구순 파열의 초음파를 이용한 진단의 민감도와 양성 예측률은 각각 89.6%, 100%였다. 또한 초음파의 비구순 파열의 일치율은 84.6%(44/52)였다. 결론: 고관절 초음파 검사는 대퇴비구 충돌 환자에서 비구순 파열의 병변의 진단에 유용한 방법으로 판단된다. Purpose: This study evaluated the usefulness of ultrasonography for a diagnosis of acetabular labral tear in femoroacetabular impingement (FAI). Materials and Methods: From March 2010 to October 2011, an ultrasonographic examination was performed in 58 patients(58 hips: 26 men and 32 women) with acetabular labral tear. The sensitivity and positive predictive value of ultrasonography were evaluated for 58 cases with acetabular labral tear confirmed by hip arthroscopy. Results: The sensitivity and positive predictive value for an acetabular labral tear using ultrasonography was 89.6% and 100%, respectively. The concordance rate of an acetabular labral tear between arthroscopy and ultrasonography was 84.6%. Conclusion: Hip ultrasonography can make a significant contribution to a pathologic diagnosis and isa useful diagnostic tool for acetabular labral tears.

<P><B>Background</B></P><P>The development of resistant cultivars has been the most effective and economical strategy to control bacterial leaf blight (BB) disease of rice caused by <I>Xanthomonas oryzae</I> pv. <I>oryzae</I> (<I>Xoo</I>). Molecular markers have made it possible to identify and pyramid valuable genes of agronomic importance in resistance rice breeding. In this study, three resistance genes (<I>Xa4</I> + <I>xa5</I> + <I>Xa21</I>) were transferred from an indica donor (IRBB57), using a marker-assisted backcrossing (MAB) breeding strategy, into a BB-susceptible elite japonica rice cultivar, Mangeumbyeo, which is high yielding with good grain quality.</P><P><B>Results</B></P><P>Our analysis led to the development of three elite advanced backcross breeding lines (ABL) with three resistance genes by foreground and phenotypic selection in a japonica genetic background without linkage drag. The background genome recovery of the ABL expressed more than 92.1% using genome-wide SSR marker analysis. The pathogenicity assays of three resistance-gene-derived ABL were conducted under glasshouse conditions with the 18 isolates of <I>Xoo</I> prevalent in Korea. The ABL exhibited very small lesion lengths, indicating a hypersensitive reaction to all 18 isolates of <I>Xoo</I>, with agronomic and grain quality traits similar to those of the recurrent parent. Pyramiding the resistance genes <I>Xa4, xa5</I> and <I>Xa21</I> provided a higher resistance to <I>Xoo</I> than the introduction of the individual resistance genes. Additionally, the combination of two dominant and one recessive BB resistance gene did not express any negative effect on agronomic traits in the ABL.</P><P><B>Conclusions</B></P><P>The strategy of simultaneous foreground and phenotypic selection to introduce multiple R genes is very useful to reduce the cost and the time required for the isolation of desirable recombinants with target resistance genes in rice. The resistance-gene-derived ABL have practical breeding value without a yield penalty by providing broad-spectrum resistance against most of the existing isolates of BB in South Korea and will have a high impact on the yield stability and sustainability of rice productivity.</P><P><B>Electronic supplementary material</B></P><P>The online version of this article (doi:10.1186/1939-8433-6-5) contains supplementary material, which is available to authorized users.</P>

In this paper, a high frequency flyback type zero voltage soft switching PWM DC-DC converter using IGBTs is proposed. Effective applications for this power converter can be found in auxiliary power supplies of rolling stock transportation and electric vehicles. This power converter is basically composed of active power switches and a flyback high frequency transformer. In addition to these, passive lossless snubbers with power regeneration loops for energy recovery, consisting of a three winding auxiliary high frequency transformer, auxiliary capacitors and diodes are introduced to achieve zero voltage soft switching from light to full load conditions. Furthermore, this power converter has some advantages such as low cost circuit configuration, simple control scheme and high efficiency. Its operating principle is described and to determine circuit parameters, some practical design considerations are discussed. The effectiveness of the proposed power converter is evaluated and compared with the hard switching PWM DC-DC converter from an experimental point of view and the comparative electromagnetic conduction and radiation noise characteristics of both DC-DC power converter circuits are also depicted.
