To find anti-tumor components from korean Basidiomycetes, the mycelium of Coriolus versicolor Fr. was grown in jar-fermentor culture and a proteinbound polysaccharide was isolated. The experimental results obtained are summarized as follows: The korean yeast extract for the production of crude polysaccharide and cell by the cultivation of jar-fermentor was more efficient than of foreign production. The addition of 1.5% yeast extract to culture medium promoted crude polysaccharide production but pH-control had no effect on cell growth and crude polysaccharide production.
Beam形 Load Cell의 FEM Simulation과 그 電氣的特性

In this paper, we simulate and calculate the stress and output voltage of the beam structure load cells by using FEM as varing physical structure parameters and loading positions. It is proved that stress enhance as the increase of the notch pitch and radius of the load cell, but decrease as the increase of the notch thickness and beam width. The results are good matched for basic formulas of the single fixed beam, and are verified our simulation is correct. Also, it is found that the stress characteristics of the load cell is varied according to loading positions with structure parameters, and caculated output voltage of the load cell approximate to those of the real manufactured ones. As a result, this study will offer efficient design and analysis technique for making special and variety capacity of load cells.
상부 조기 위암 환자의 복강경하 상부 위절제술 3례 경험

Background : The reported incidence of early gastric cancer located in the upper portion of the stomach has been increasing with the recent advances in its diagnosis and screening. Recently, we have successfully performed laparoscopic assisted proximal gastrectomy and gastric tube reconstruction without pyloroplasty on three patients with early gastric carcinoma localized to the upper third of the stomach. We describe our modification of this procedure in this report. Method : After creating an surgical pneumoperitoneum, the stomach was mobilized using laparoscopic coagulating shears. Upper half of the greater curvature and three-quarters of the lesser curvature were then dissected along with regoinal D2 lymphadenectomy. This was followed by a 5 cm, longitudinal mini-laparotomy in the upper abdomen, and the construction of the exteriorized stomach with a gastric tube measuring 20 cm long and 4 cm wide. Reconstruction with an esophagogastrostomy was performed using a circular stapler. Result : No post-operative morbidity or mortality was observed in this small series of patients. The average operative time was 250 minutes (range 220-300 minutes), and the average blood loss was 150 ml (range 90-180 ml). The mean number of lymph nodes harvested during these laparoscopic proximal gastrectomies was 24 nodes (range 22-25 lymph nodes). The average postoperative hospital stays was 7.5 days (range 7-8 days). Conclusion : Our technique of laparoscopic assisted proximal gastrectomy and gastric tube reconstruction without phloroplasty offers a minimally invasive technique with the potential of impoving the post-operative quality of life patients with an early-stage proximal gastric cancer.
단일면에 스트레인게이지를 부착한 로드셀과 그 온도 보상에 관한 연구

Compensation of temperature is very important to make high precision load cell. In this study, we developed a new type load cell. The structure of the load cell has our strain gauges on single side of the load cell beam. Also a new temperature compensation method was proposed and these characteristics were better than previous one. This study will offer application to other type of load cell and another sensors.

This paper presents how to analyze heat transfer characteristics of double-layered soils. Thermal response tests were conducted to measure the ground thermal conductivities of Joomunjm sand and douole layered soils filled in a steel box of which the size is 5m × 1m × 1m. Double-layered soils were composed of Joomunjm sand and Kaoline clay. Each Lhermal conductivity of Joomurym sand and Kaloine clay was measured by using Heat Flow Meter considering different void ratio. The ground thermal conductivity of doubleㅛlayered soils was 15% smaller than that of Joomunjin sand.
들기자세 유형별 L₄-L?의 근전도 분석 : At the Base Knee Angle 무릎각도를 중심으로

This research is to find out the most suitable lifting posture and to provide fundamental data for preventing usual injuries. To do this, we select five male graduates and five female graduates of P university, analyze their muscular actions in terms of posture types, measure the limit value of weight lifting by comparing each lifting posture type(knee angle 40˚, 80˚, 180˚) with action amplitudes of two parts of erector spinae muscle, and draw our conclusion as follow ; 1. In case of every lifting posture(that is, knee angle 40˚, 80˚, 180˚), females have higher muscular conductivity value in L⁴-L? of right erector spinae muscle than males(p<.001), but in L⁴-L? of left erector spinae males has higher muscular conductivity value than females(p<.001). 2. Males show lower degree of change in muscular conductivity value from 10kg to 25kg weight lifting. 3. Females show gradually increasing degree of change in muscular conductivity value according as weight lifting is heavier. 4. Males show the constant muscular conductivity action of average 50∼110㎶ in the L⁴-L? in case of each lifting posture, knee angle 40˚, 80˚, and 180˚. 5. Females also show the constant muscular conductivity action of average 100∼200㎶ in the L⁴-L? in case of each lifting posture, knee angle 40˚, 80˚, and 180˚. But they show more active muscular conductivity in more than 15kg weight lifting, IOSHIC permission load value. In short, in case of males, weight lifting up to 25kg has little effect on erector spinae muscle but in case of females, weight lifting from more than 15kg has gradual effect on erector spinae muscle. Therefore, the muscular conductivity values of various posture types(by knee angle)are to be identified according to weight lifting steps.

Korean Government is going to launch KOMPSAT 2 (KOrea Multi-Purpose SATellite-2) with MSC (Multi-Spectral Camera) payload in 2004. MSC is capable of 1 m panchromatic and 4m multi-spectral imaging. To fully utilize images taken by KOMPSAT 2, there have been great demands on Koreanization of ground segments. This paper addresses the development of the ground receiving system for KOMPSAT-2. The work scope is to develop a whole system for image receiving station except RF part for KOMPSAT-2. The work includes development of image receiving and archiving system, image processing system, and image distribution system. During last three years, we have developed most of subsystems and now we are integrating overall system. We conducted performance and functionality tests at the subsystem level, and achieved an image reception, processing and distribution system that can handle image data at the rate of up to 340Mbps. Considering image processing, due to the lack of available image data, we have tested up to 6.6m resolution images.
Rapid and Accurate Measurement of Ideality Factor and Parasitic Resistances of Thin Film Solar Cells

<P>The sunshade method for the measurement of the ideality factor and resistances of solar cells is commonly used in silicon solar cells. However, the method is rarely employed for thin-film solar cells. In this paper, the sunshade method is applied to CIGS solar cells, and it is shown that the three major assumptions of the method remain valid for CIGS solar cells. The extracted parameters are compared to those calculated using other common methods, and the ideality factors and R-s values are quickly determined and found to be nearly the same as those extracted through illuminated I-V fitting and dark I-V fitting.
