        경의선 장단역 증기기관차 이전지 기념공간 설계

        경의선 철도는 부산과 신의주를 오가던 한반도의 주요 종단 철도로서 한반도 물류, 교통의 중심이었으며, 동시에 분단국가의 하나됨을 염원하는 상징적 의미를 지니고 있다. 경의선 장단역에 멈춰선 증기기관차는 한국전쟁 당시 피폭되었다. 이 기관차는 녹슨 채 반세기 넘게 비무장지대 안에 방치되어 있었으며, 남북분단의 역사적 상징물이다. 본 연구는 등록문화재 제78호인 '경의선 장단역 증기기관차'의 이전에 따라 역사적 관점, 기념공원으로서의 역할 그리고 지역문화 관광적 측면에서 접근하였다. 설계의 주안점은 기본적으로 증기기관차라는 문화재의 정체성을 대변하는 3가지 이슈를 가지고 접근하였다. 첫째, 독개다리 지역은 경의선 상에 배치되는 장점을 가지고 있으나, 부지가 협소하여 기존 지형을 이용한 경사로와 계단 등을 설치하여 일정한 보행환경을 유지하였다. 둘째, 수직적 관람데크를 설치하여 전시물을 다양한 방식으로 관람하도록 하였으며, 관람공간은 관람객의 안전과 문화재의 보호를 고려하였다. 셋째, 증기기관차가 원래 있던 지역적 특성을 고려하여 기관차 내에 자생하던 뽕나무를 이식하였으며, 전시공간 주변으로는 통풍을 위해 초화류를 식재하여 문화재에 영향을 미치지 않도록 하였다. Kyong-Eui Railway used to be one of the major cross-country railways connecting Busan and Shineuiju. Being the central axis of logistics and transportation in Korea, it also signifies a symbolic meaning of the people's desire for the unification of divided Korean peninsula. A steam locomotive that had stopped in Jangdan Station was bombed out during the Korean War. The locomotive has been neglected and covered with rust in DMZ over a half century, and now is becoming a historic reminder of divided Korea. The initial design approach was based on the three main perspectives of the relocation plan of the steam locomotive in Jangdan Station which is designated as the registered cultural asset no. 78: historical significance, role of a monumental space, and influence on and from the local culture and tourism. Three design subjects were especially highlighted which would represent the identity of the cultural asset, the stream locomotive. First, a vertical watching deck was installed to provide various view points toward the locomotive while ensuring the security of visitors as well as the cultural asset. Second, the Dokgae bride area has good design potentials being on the railway. However, the site is too narrow. Thus, a new ramp and a stairway were placed responding to the existing topography so that the pedestrian environment could be secured last, to respect the local context where the locomotive was originally located, mulberry trees in the locomotive were transplanted as well. Flowering plants were planted around the display area for better ventilation to minimize the negative impact on the locomotive.

        MAS를 이용한 줄무늬잎마름병 저항성 조생종 벼 ‘해담쌀’ 개발

        ‘Haedamssal’ is an early maturing and rice stripe virus disease-resistant cultivar adaptable for early-transplanting cultivation that was developed by the rice breeding team of the Department of Southern Crop, NICS, RDA, in 2014. This cultivar was derived from the cross YR25869 (YR21247-B-B-B-49-1/Sasanishiki BL4//Koshihikari) and YR25868 (Unkwang//YR21247-B-B-B-49-1/Sasanishiki BL4) made in the 2005/2006 winter season and was advanced to the F5 generation by a bulk breeding method using rapid generation advance. To incorporate rice stripe virus resistance, marker-assisted selection on the RSV gene was conducted in 3-way and 6-way cross F1 generation using the tightly linked marker RM6897. From testing in the replicated yield trial in 2011, a promising line YR26258-B-B-B-33-3 was selected and it was designated as ‘Milyang276’. A local adaptability test of ‘Milyang276’ was performed at three locations from 2012 to 2014 and it was named as ‘Haedamssal’, which was a good eating quality variety. The culm length was 67 cm in yield trials, which was 4 cm shorter than ‘Jopyeong’. The number of spikelets per panicle was lower than ‘Jopyeong’, whereas the number of tillers per hill was higher. This variety was resistant to RSV disease, bacterial blight, and leaf blast disease. The milled rice yield of ‘Haedamssal’ was 5.48 MT per ha at the early transplanting in the local adaptability test. ‘Haedamssal’ is well adapted to early transplanting cultivation in the southern plain area (Registration No. 6811).

        Effects of Nitric Oxide on Inhibitory Receptors of Rod Bipolar Cells of Rat Retina

        The effects of nitric oxide (NO) on inhibitory neurotransmitter receptors and some types of inhibitory receptors in dissociated rod bipolar cell (RBC) were investigated. In the whole cell voltage-clamping mode, the gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) activated current showed both sustained and transient components. GABA activated transient current was fully blocked by bicuculine, a GABA<SUB>A</SUB> receptor antagonist. The cis-4-aminocrotonic acid (CACA), a GABA<SUB>C</SUB> receptor agonist, evoked the sustained current that was not blocked by bicuculline (BIC). Glycine activated the transient current. These results indicate that the RBCs possess GABA<SUB>A</SUB>, GABA<SUB>C</SUB>, and glycine inhibitory receptors. Sodium nitroprusside (SNP), a NO analogue, reduced the currents activated by GABA<SUB>A</SUB> receptor only, however, did not reduce the currents activated by either GABA<SUB>C</SUB> or glycine receptors. This study signifies further that only NO depresses the fast inhibitory response activated by GABA<SUB>A</SUB> receptor in RBC. We, therefore, postulate that NO might depress the light-on/off transient inhibitory responses in RBCs in the rat retina.

      • Improvement of loading/unloading performance using control input position and considering disk vibration characteristics

        Loading/unloading (L/UL) dynamic characteristics are affected by various operating parameters, such as L/UL speed, disk speed, disk vibration, and so on. The effects of these parameters on L/UL performance are investigated experimentally using an acoustic emission (AE) sensor, an in-plane laser Doppler vibrometer (LDV), and a vertical LDV. The experimental data shows that during the loading of the slider, the contact probability is lower for low L/UL speeds. The frequencies of slider-disk contact are lower for low disk rpm during the loading process, whereas in the unloading process the contact probability is lower for high disk rpm. The effects of disk vibration on the L/UL process are also studied, and we have found that the relative gap and slider-disk velocity between the disk and ramp affect the contact events in the L/UL process. During 1000 unloading cycles, most noncontact events occurred near the region of the maximum ramp gap during the loading process. During unloading, most of the contacts between the slider and disk occurred at the minimum relative speed. Slider-disk contact rarely occurred at the maximum relative unloading speed. The noncontact region tends to expand with higher disk speeds during the unloading process. This paper proposes a method to control the unloading input position to improve L/UL performance. By controlling the unloading instant based on the disk vibration characteristics, we can significantly reduce the number of slider-disk contacts.

        악성 림프종 환자에서 BEAM 고용량화학요법과 자가조혈모세포이식

        Background : The long-term survival in patients with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma (NHL) after conventional chemotherapy is about 35% and the rest of the patients tend to have relapse. So, in relapsed or refractory NHL, the outcome of patients undergoing high-dose chemotherapy and autologous peripheral stem cell transplantation (APBSCT) was evaluated, and the main prognostic factors were determined. Methods : 17 patients with relapsed or resistant NHL (5 complete response group, 7 partial response group, 4 primary refractory group, 1 resistant relapse) underwent BEAM (carmustine, etoposide, cytarabine, melphalan) chemotherapy and APBSCT between July 1997 and February 1999. Results : The median follow-up duration was 17 months (range: 4-47). The response rate was 58.3% (complete response 33.3%, partial response 25.0%) in 12 patients in whom complete response group was not included. The 2-year, 3-year overall response rate were 41.2%, 27.5%, respectively. And 2-year progression free survival was 35.3%. The disease status before high-dose chemotherapy was the only significant prognostic factor in determining overall survival (univariate p=.024, multivariate p=.059) and progression free survival (univariate p=.013, multivariate p=.026). Patients with complete response to salvage regimen had better overall survival (p=.021) and progression free survival (p=.008) than patients with refractory response. WBC (≥ 1,000/uL) was recovered at the median 11 days (range; 8-24), and platelet (≥ 50,000/uL) was recovered at the median 18 days (range; 9-44). There was no treatment-related death and no grade 3 and 4 toxicity. Neutropenic infection was in 4 patients (1 Herpes zoster, 1 typhlitis, 1 perianal infection, 1 otitis externa). Conclusion : The pre-transplant disease status was the main prognostic factor. Patients with complete response to salvage regimen had the significant benefit in survival from high-dose chemotherapy and APBSCT, but patients with refractory or resistant relapsed NHL did not have any significant benefit.(Korean J Med 61:255-263, 2001)

        대학 스포츠로서의 골프활동에 대한 의식 조사

        The purpose of this study is to recognize, in order to popularize the golf as a university-sports, the relevance between university students` general index(ex. sex, grade, development) and the grade of playing sports, and to illuminate their interesting to the golf and their value to the sports(the value of mental and physical). To realise this purpose, we made investigating sheets that have asked above points. We distributed those to 690(man and woman) the university students in Taegu and we have let them write in the way of self-administration. We got 622 effective samplings. The used program of this material is SPSS 8.0 statistic program. In order to recognize and analyse the relevance between university students` general index(ex. sex, grade, development) and the grade of plying sports, we have used cross-analysis. To their value(mental and physical) to the golf, we have used the Two-way ANOVA. With multiple comparative analysis of Tukey we carried out reproof. According to above process, we had the results, it is followed ; 1. Recognizability of Golf due to the relevance between university students` general index and the grade of playing sports; About the experience of playing golf, the answer `No have been` is in most, and we have quasi-results in the sex, grade, the grad of playing sports, except the development. To the interesting to the golf as a preliminary class, man is higher than woman, junior is higher than freshman and sophomore, we have quasi-result in the sex, grade. To the pupularizability of golf, we have followed result in most, it belongs to the high stratum, women is higher than men, and we have quasi-results in the sex, grade. To the experience to the golf through mass-media, regardless of university students` general index and the grade of playing sports, `Have been` is in most, so it represents the effect of mass-media, we have no quasi-results in this points. To the ratio of strength-consumption, in comparative to other sports, `Less` is more in man than in woman, in freshman is more than in junior. We have quasi-results in the sex, grade. 2. Valuability of Golf due the relevance between university students` general index and the grade of playing sports. To the psyco-value in sex and grade, `More` is represented in the woman as freshman and sophomore, in the man as junior and senior, we have quasi-results in the sex, grade. But, psyco-value and physical-value in sex, development, grade and the grade of playing sports, we don`t have quasi-results. In sum, the indirect experience to the golf is very high, but the direct experience is very low in Korean university students. Until now, they think , playing the golf is belonged to the high stratum, the interesting ratio is very high. So in order to popularize the golf, it is more need that, illuminating the superiority of golf in psyco-value and physical-value and expending the direct experience through the physical class in the university are more useful than simple and indirect experience through mass-media.
