        원심모형실험에 의한 굴착 흙막이벽의 안정 및 토압분포

        In this study, centrifugal model tests were performed to investigate the behavior of excavated earth retaining wall with the depth of excavation and different types of wall(aluminum, steel panel). Jumunjin standard sand was used for foundation soil. The raining method was adopted to form the required relative density of the model ground. The lateral earth pressure measured from tests were compared with estimated active earth pressure by Rankine's theory. The test results have shown that the earth pressure acting on the retaining wall and the rotation displacement of the wall are influenced by the depth of excavation and the type of wall. It was found from the test results that the deformation of the wall increases with the depth of excavation.

        무가압 침투법에 의해 제조된 Al/BN 복합재료의 미세조직과 인장성질

        Spontaneous infiltration and strengthening behaviors were analyzed in terms of microstructures and tensile properties of Al/BN composite fabricated by pressureless infiltration technique, compared with control alloy without BN fabricated by the same method. The Mg₃N₂ formed by the reaction of Mg vapor and nitrogen gas, which coated the particles in the powder bed, is believed to induce spontaneous infiltration through a great enhancement of wetting via the following reaction, Mg₃N₂+ 2Al→2AlN + 3Mg. This was identified by the finding of AlN particle layers on the surfaces of old Al particles in the powder bed, which contacted with the infiltrating melt. In addition, unreacted Mg₃N₂ was observed outside the composite, where the Al melt directly did not come into contact. Fine AlN particles formed in-situ resulted in a significant strengthening even in the control alloy with no addition of BN. In the composite reinforced with BN, additional AlN was formed by the interfacial reaction of the BN and Al melt as well as AlN by the in-situ reaction. Consequently, both the BN particles and the additional AlN particles formed by the interfacial reaction led to a further strengthening in the composite, as compared to control alloy strengthened by the AlN particles formed in-situ.

        수중 굴착사면의 안정해석

        The main purpose of this study is to investigate the failure surface in a soil mass by a excavation of the model ground. The failure mechanism of an earth structure is usually determined from field failure observations or from laboratory model tests at failure. To study the failure surface for the excavated slope, laboratory model tests were performed by changing the angle of the excavated slope and the ground condition. Results of the laboratory model tests were compared with those obtained with theoretical solutions using limit equilibrium analysis method. The results of model tests show that, there is a failure to create a straight line in the low angle of excavated surface and a create a circle as the angle increases. As the angle of excavated surface is increasing, the angle of the failure surface increases too. In the angle of the failure surface, the submerged ground is less than the dry ground at 3. 2˚.

        고온에서의 Fe-C-S 합금 중 Cu 의 열역학적 거동에 관한 연구

        The thermodynamic behavior of copper in molten Fe-C-S alloy at high temperature was investigated by chemical equilibrating technique. The effects of copper, carbon, sulfur content and temperature on the activity coefficient of copper in molten pure iron and carbon saturated were was determined by measuring the distribution ratio between silver and Fe-C-S-Cu alloy. The activity coefficient of copper in molteniren and carbon saturated iron at infinite dilution of copper were measured 11.02 and 28.50 at 1823K respectively. The interaction parameter between copper and copper, sulfur and carbon in molten iron at 1823K, was estimated as follows; ε^(Cu)_(Cu) = -4.80, ε^S_(Cu) = -2.544, ε^C_(Cu) = -4.60 The dependence of the activity coefficient in molten Fe-C alloy on temperature was determined as follows; For molten pure iron : lnγ^(oFe)_(Cu) = 4370/T For Fe-2wt%C : lnγ^(oFe-2wt%C)_(Cu) = 0.72 + 3840/T For carbon saturated iron : lnγ^(oFe_C)_(Cu) = 1.11 + 4100/T Combining the effect of temperature and the alloying component, the activity coefficient of copper could be expressed as follows ; lnγ^(Fe-C-S)_(Cu) = 4370/T·(1-X_(Cu))² + (2.15 + 4600/T)·2.54·X_s The possibility of removal of copper from steel by slag refing and evaporating technique was discussed.

        산업폐기물의 제지회의 활용방안에 관한 연구

        This study is an experimental study to investigate the possibility of the utilization of paper ash as the cover, liner in waste disposal landfill and other construction materials. The sample used in these tests was obtained from Daehan paper mill. A series of tests were performed to evaluate basic properties, compaction, permeability, compressive strength, consolidation, leaching, and CBR of paper ash. In order to investigate the soil engineering properties of paper ash, the test results were compared with those obtained of fly ash. The results of unconfined compression tests show that paper ash had a larger strength than the fly ash. Also, the maximum dry unit weight of paper ash was approximately 59∼76.9% less than that of the fly ash. It was found from the results of leaching test that paper ash is classified as non-detrimental general wastes according to the waste management law.

        원심모형실험에 의한 지하굴착 붕양양상에 관한 계측 및 해석

        This paper is to investigate the failure surface and modes in a soil mass by a excavation of the model ground. To study the failure surface for the excavated slope, centrifugal model tests were performed by changing the angle of the excavated slope(60, 75, 90˚) and the ground condition(D_r=60, 90%, dry and submerged ground). Excavation was simulated during the centrifuge tests by operating a valve that allowed the zinc chloride solvent to drain from the excavation. Results of model tests were compared with those obtained with theoretical solutions using limit equilibrium analysis method. The results of model tests show that, there is a failures to create a straight line in the low angle of excavated surface and a create a circle as the angle increases. Also, as the angle of excavated surface is increasing, the angle of the failure surface increases. The failure length in the submerged ground increases approximately 1.10∼1.34 times more than that of the dry ground.

To make the aged housing which various house can share, it should devise the design models such as barrier free design and universal design.

        Workplace Spirituality And Its Relationship To Leadership

        직장 영성은 (WS : Work Spirituality) 완전성과 기쁨을 수반하는 작업장 활동을 통해 근로자가 체험하는 초월적 경험으로 정의된다. 영성적 리더쉽은 사명감과 소속감을 동기부여함으로서 근로자들의 영감을 고취시키는 리더의 능력을 뜻한다. 이 두 개념 간의 관계를 밝히기 위해, 본 연구에서는 두 선행 연구를 분석하기로 한다. 첫 번째, Reave의 연구는 영성적 가치와 리더십 효과 간의 관계에 대한 문헌적 증거를 제시한다. 그녀의 연구가 효과적인 리더의 특성을 밝히는데 집중하고 있기 때문에, 환경적 맥락을 구체화시키고 리더-추종자 간 적합성을 고려하는 것이 필요하다고 여겨진다. 두 번째, Duchon과 Plowman은 직장 영성과 수행성과 간의 관계를 고찰하고, 그에 따른 리더의 역할을 추론했다. 샘플의 수가 적고 편향되어 있다는 제한점에도 불구하고, 이 연구는 직장 영성에 대한 경험적 연구의 가능성을 제안해준다. 이선행연구들은 직장 영성에 대한 체계적 이론의 개발과 다양한 산업군에 대해 이론을 적용하는 후속 연구가 필요하다는 점을 시사한다. Workplace spirituality is defined as employees’ transcendental experiences through workplace activities which lead to completeness and joy. Based on this definition, spiritual leadership indicates a leader’s ability of inspiring and motivating other organization members through “calling” and “membership”. In order to identify relations of these concepts, two selected articles were critiqued. First, Reave’s research provided literary evidence of the relationship between spiritual values and leadership effectiveness. While her research focused on the characteristics of effective leader, subsequent research is needed to concretize environmental contexts and consider leader-follower fit. Second, Duchon & Plowman (2005) examined the relationship between work unit spirituality and work unit performance and made inferences about the role of leaders. Though the sample is so small and the composition of sample is somewhat biased, this research presented the potential of empirical study about workplace spirituality.

        Multi-Parameter Maximal Operators Associated with Finite Measures and Arbitrary Sets of Parameters

        <P>In this paper we examine various singular maximal operators, extending the class of operators which have been studied extensively in the past. It extends work that has been done in the one-parameter to the multi-parameter setting. We obtain the -boundedness properties of the multi-parameter maximal operators associated with finite measures and arbitrary sets of parameters by assuming some Fourier decay and a certain geometric condition.</P>

        A Study on Optimized Size of a Mobile Harbor for South Korea Coastal Service

        The aim of paper is to calculate the optimized size of Mobile Harbor(MH) which would be operated in South Korea coast area. MH is the combined entity which has the function of both ship and container port. In estimating the optimized size, the total cost concept is applied to the different size of MH. Trade-off factors for calculating total cost are MH cost and the over-capacity lost cost. The factors for MH cost estimation are the cargo demand, distance from origin to destination, voyage route and MH's fixed and variable cost in both sailing and port. The other cost is the over-capacity lost cost which is occurred from dead space in case of oversize compared with a voyage demand. The alternatives for the least cost are 250TEU, 500TEU, 750TEU and 1,000TEU sized vessel. The result of research is that 250TEU sized vessel is optimized in a South Korea costal service. If the coastal area be separated in terms of voyage distance or the specific area in considering trade, the optimized size is changed depending upon distance.
