Forty eight strains of yeast were cultured in potato dextorse(PD) broth at 30˚C for 24 hr and centrifuged with 12,000 rpm for 20 min. After concentrated the cultures, antihypertensive angiotensin I-converting enzyme(ACE) inhibitory activities of its concentrates were investigated. Among them, the concentrates from Saccharomyces cerevisiae Y183-3 showed the highest ACE inhibitory activity of 71.8%. The ACE inhibitor from Saccharomyces cerevisiae Y183-3 was maximally produced when Saccharomyces cerevisiae Y183-3 cultured in PD broth at 30˚C for 36 hr.

In this paper, a biped robot is designed and implemented, and walking tests are performed using a fast walking model. In order to embody the human joint structure, designed biped robot has each two degree of freedom attached to the pelvic, knee, and ankle . Using two motors for each knee makes it possible to have the same walking as human walking and fast walking. Also in joint controller, PID control algorithm may causes variation to the robot, which make the system unstable. Therefore, a PD controller is used to limit the vibrations as much as possible allowing steady state error to a certain extent.
Sol-Gel방법에 의해서 성장시킨PbTiO₃박막의 결정화와 물리적 성질

Ferroelectric PbTiO3 thin films coated on SiO2/Si(100) and ITO glass substrates were prepared by sol-gel processing of metal alkoxide solutions and solvents. The use of sol-gel method for preparing various functional films makes it possible for the homogeneous distribution of elements at the molecular level, precise composition control, lower temperature synthesis, large surface coating and high optical quality. First of all, the XRD investigation shows that perovskite phase of polycrystalline PbTiO3 was formed by four times coating of the concentrated solution and by the heat treatment over 500, 600℃(O2 gas and air) and over 10, 20, 30 min. Surfaces of thin films were crack-free and uniform and the average grain size investigated by SEM was 0.25∼1.00 ㎛. Dielectric constant of PbTiO3/ITO glass thin film were 380 ∼ 5.25 in the region of 1 kHz∼ 10 MHz at room temperature(30℃), respectively. From the hysteresis loop of PbTiO3/ITO glass thin film, a remnant polarization of 0.382 μC/cm2 and a coercive filed of 23.85 kV/cm were obtained. At the frequency(5 kHz), C-V measurements of films in MFIS and MFM configurations showed well-behaved C-V characteristics and an injection type hysteresis. The capacitance of flat band(CFB) was 60 pF. The band gap energies of the thin films depend on the assumption of direct or indirect transition. Using one layer structure model, we calculated refractive index, extinction coefficient, absorption coefficient and band gap energy of thin film in the wavelength range of 300 to 800 nm. The band gap energy, refractive index and extinction coefficient at λ = 6325 Å of the PbTiO3 thin film were 3.7 eV, 1.96 and 0.1 respectively.
지구성 및 파워선수에서의 안정시 혈청효소 분석 : An object on cyclists and weight lifters 사이클 및 역도선수를 대상으로

This study was performed to evaluate the changes on serum enzymes in resting state by regular, prolonged aerobic and power exercise. Subjects were consisted of 21 male and 11 female cyclists and 16 male and 13 female weight lifters. They were highly traininged state. (1) Serum glucoses and triglycerides showed values within normal limits but the glucose levels of weight lifters were lower than cyclists. (2) Serum AST and ALT also showed within normal values and male athletes values were larger than female athletes but no statistical significance. (3) Total CPK levels showed apparent difference between two type of exercise, weight lifters had higher CPK levels than cyclists, especially male athletes had statistical significance. The isoenzyme CPK-MM also showed higher values and had statistical significance in male and female athletes. (4) Total LDH was higher in weight lifters than cyclists and isoenzyme LDH-4 and LDH-5 had significant difference. (※) From the results, we could be suggested serum total CPK and isoenzyme LDH-4, and LDH-5 showed changes of physical adaptation by prolonged power exercise in resting state and they would be used indicator of exercise ability.

The "Sound Classification System on Floor Impact Sound Insulation Performance" is being studied in Korea. For that study, vocabularies appropriate for evaluation and reporting are needed. In this study, adequate words for evaluating floor impact sound have been extracted by reviewing the existing vocabularies and augmenting this with the results of a questionnaire prepared especially for apartment dwellers. As a result of this study, followings are suggested. 1) The heavy impact sound sources are more highly ranked than light impact ones. And the louder sound sources are the more accumulated points. 2) Highly ranked vocabularies are different for each source. 3) Floor impact sound evaluating words such as ‘Annoying’, ‘Disagreeable’, ‘Strident’, ‘Disturbed’, and ‘Dissonant’ are highly ranked. ‘Annoying’ is the word most accurately expressing the subjects' unpleasant feeling of domestic floor impact noise. 4)‘Unpleasant’, ‘Noisy’, ‘Irritating’, ‘Annoying’ are main unpleasant factors to floor impact sounds occurring in our domestic apartment houses.
외국 소프트웨어의 한글지원을 위해 한글코드가 나아가야 할 방향연구

We analyse Hangul codes of KS C 5601 which is currently standardized, Microsoft Hangul, and Unicode2.0 supported in the ISO 10646. First, there are many different codes in the KS C 5601 and we just analysed two important codes of it(completion type code and mixture type code). Second, we analysed Microsoft Hangul and pointed out some problems of it. Finally, we analysed Hangul parts of the Unicode2.0 in detail. After analysis, we study differences between KS C 5601 currently standardized and Unicode nationally standardized. As a conclusion, we have suggested the direction that Hangul code must follow.

Bioactive glass-ceramics can form tight chemical bonds with bone, however, their poor mechanical properties may limit their clinical applications. Alumina ceramics show good biocompatibility and high strength but can't form chemical bonds with bone. Hydroxyapatite ceramics and bioglass form chemical bonds with bone but their strength and fracture are relatively low. Glass ceramics containing apatite and wollastonite crystals can form tight chemical bonds with bone and show relatively high strength and fracture toughness. Bioactive glass-ceramics toughened by alumina and tetragonal zirconia polycrystals show relatively high mechanical strength. Both bioactive and high strength ceramics will be widely applicable to many clinical applications. In this study, bioactive glass-ceramics toughened by alumina and zirconia polycrystals were fabricated, and crystallization behavior, biaxial flexure strength, fracture toughness, and bioactivity were measured. The results obtained were summarized as follows; 1. The major crystaline phase in the matrix glass were observed to be apatite, wollastonite, and β-TCP. 2. Biaxial flexure strength and fracture toughness values were more improved by the dispersion toughening of alumina and zirconia, and the improvement of mechanical strength was more higher in the dispersion toughening of zirconia than that of alumina. 3. The bioactivity, which was evaluted from apatite formation in the simulated body fluid, was higher in the dispersion toughening of Zr-O₂than that of Al₂O₃.

In order to embody the human joint structure, designed biped robot has two degree of freedom attached to the pelvic area of each leg. Using two motors for each ankle makes it possible to have the same degree of freedom as human ankle. This paper show that fuzzy control algorithm is suitable for each joint control.
