Structure and Performances of xLiFePO4/C·(1 − x)Li3V2(PO4)3/C Cathode for Lithium-Ion Batteries by Using Poly(vinyl alcohol) as Carbon Source

        Chang-ling Fan,Wei-hua Zhang,Tao-tao Zeng,Ling-fang Li,Xiang Zhang,Shao-chang Han 대한화학회 2015 Bulletin of the Korean Chemical Society Vol.36 No.11

Poly(vinyl alcohol), whose pyrolysis carbon possesses high conductivity of 8.88 × 10−1 S/cm, was used to synthesize xLiFePO4/C·(1 − x)Li3V2(PO4)3/C cathode. It was characterized by X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, conductivity, cyclic voltammetry, and galvanostatic charge and discharge experiments. Results show that LiFePO4/C and Li3V2(PO4)3/C coexists in the cathode. The particles sizes of 0.75LiFePO4/C·0.25Li3V2(PO4)3/C (x = 0.75) are much smaller than 100 nm due to the role of poly(vinyl alcohol). Its conductivity is 8.79 × 10−2 S/cm. The oxidative and reductive peaks in cyclic voltammetry are sharp and symmetrical. Their low potential gaps indicate that the extractions and insertions of lithium ion possess excellent reversibility. Its discharge capacities at 1 and 5 C are 141.1 and 100.1 mAh/g. The more Li3V2(PO4)3/C in cathode results in the deterioration of electrochemical performances due to its low theoretical capacity. It is concluded that poly(vinyl alcohol) is an effective carbon source in the preparation of xLiFePO4/C·(1 − x)Li3V2(PO4)3/C composite cathode with excellent performances.

Current state of research about acupuncture for the treatment of COVID-19: A scoping review

        Chen Chen,Jie Zhan,Hao Wen,Xiaojing Wei,Lu Ding,Chenyang Tao,Cui Li,Peiming Zhang,Yuyuan Tang,Jing-chun Zeng,Li-ming Lu 한국한의학연구원 2021 Integrative Medicine Research Vol.10 No.-

Background Since the outbreak of coronavirus disease (COVID-19), acupuncture has been widely used in the treatment of COVID-19. The research community has responded rapidly and has already published many research articles about this topic. Methods We searched PubMed, Embase, Cochrane Library as well as CNKI, Wanfang and VIP from January 1, 2020 to July 31, 2021. The dates of publication, language of publication, methodological characteristics and the key findings were analyzed separately. The data are presented as bar graphs, structured tables and figures. Results In this scoping review, 16 research articles were included: 7 case reports, 6 observational studies, 1 review, 1 RCT and 1 nonrandomized clinical trial. The majority of the articles (81.3%) were published by Chinese scholars, 12.5% articles were by scholars in the United States, and 6.3% articles were by scholars in Iran. The included studies reported that acupuncture could alleviate the symptoms of COVID-19 patients, shorten their hospitalization days, and is effective for the elderly. There were no side effects reported. The most frequent acupoints used were LI4, PC6, ST36 and KI3. They reported many obstacles in implementing acupuncture therapy for treating COVID-19 patients. Conclusion Acupuncture has a good effect for the treatment of COVID-19, but high-quality evidence support is still lacking. Coupled with the difficulties that acupuncturists experienced during the process of treatment, the promotion of acupuncture treatment for COVID-19 faces many obstacles. Jing Li1,Xuefeng Wang,Huaqing Meng,Kebin Zeng,Fengying Quan,Fang Liu 대한신경정신의학회 2016 PSYCHIATRY INVESTIGATION Vol.13 No.3

ObjectiveaaThe aim of this study was to find if systemic family therapy (SFT) does work in anxiety and depression with epilepsy in adolescents (ADAE). Methodsaa104 adolescents with epilepsy, aged 13–20 years old, were included from December 2009 to December 2010, the enrolled patients were with anxiety [Hamilton Anxiety Scale (HAMA) score ≥14 points] or depression [Hamilton Depression Scale (HAMD) score ≥20 points]. The patients were randomly divided into the control group (n=52) treated with antiepileptic drugs (AED) and the intervention group (n=52) undergone Systemic Family Therapy (SFT) as well as AED. The AED improvements, anxiety and depression scores, Social Support Rating Scale (SSRS), Family Assessment Device (FAD) and scale of systemic family dynamics (SSFD) were observed after 3-month treatment. ResultsaaThe frequencies of epileptic seizures in intervention group was decreased much more significantly than the control group (4.22±3.54 times/month vs. 6.20±5.86 times/month, p=0.04); and the scores of anxiety (9.52±6.28 points vs. 13.48±8.47 points, p=0.01) and depression (13.86±9.17 points vs. 18.89±8.73 points, p=0.02) were significantly decreased than the control group; meanwhile, the family dynamics and family functions were significantly improved, and the social support was also increased (p<0.05). ConclusionaaSFT combined with AEDs had better efficacies than AEDs alone, not only the frequency of epileptic seizures was decreased, but also the patients’ anxiety and depression were improved, and the family dynamics, family functions and social support were improved.

      • Release dynamics of As, Co, and Mo in a biochar treated soil under pre-definite redox conditions

        El-Naggar, Ali,Shaheen, Sabry M.,Hseu, Zeng-Yei,Wang, Shan-Li,Ok, Yong Sik,Rinklebe, Jö,rg Elsevier 2019 The Science of the total environment Vol.657 No.-

Abstract

This study assessed the impact of pre-definite redox potential (EH) on the release dynamics and distribution of As, Co, and Mo between the dissolved and colloidal phases as well as their potential mobility and phytoavailability in the sediment phase of a mining soil treated with rice hull biochar (BC). The experiment was conducted from controlled moderately-reducing to oxidizing conditions using an automated biogeochemical microcosm system. Arsenic and Mo were more abundant in the dissolved phase due to their predominant in potential mobile fractions, while Co was more abundant in the colloidal phase due to its association with Fe-(hydr)oxides. Biochar increased the dissolved and colloidal concentrations of As, the dissolved concentration of Co, and the colloidal concentration of Mo under oxidizing condition. On the other hand, the application of BC decreased the dissolved concentration of Mo and the colloidal concentration of Co in the first redox cycle under reducing-acidic condition, due to lower pH values, and chemistry of sulfide-sulfate and Fe/Mn oxides. The phytoavailability of As and Co were higher than their potential mobility in the sediment phase, while the same trend was not discerned for Mo. The potential mobility and phytoavailability of As and Co were high under oxic-acidic conditions. The potential mobility and phytoavailability of Mo might be increased under oxic condition due to the dissolution of Fe and Mn oxides under lower pH conditions, especially in the BC treated soil. Application of such rice hull BC to soil might stimulate the release of As, Co, and Mo under flooding conditions, which might increase the environmental and health risks in such wetland ecosystems.

Highlights

The EH showed a converse relation with pH in biochar treated and non-treated soils.

Arsenic and Mo were abundant in the dissolved phase, but Co in the colloidal phase.

Biochar increased the dissolved As and Co under oxidizing conditions.

Biochar decreased the dissolved Mo under acidic conditions in the first redox cycle.

Potential mobility and phytoavailability were higher under low pH and high EH.

Graphical abstract

[DISPLAY OMISSION]

Allusion as a Poetic Mode in Li Shangyin`s Poetry on History

( Li Zeng ) 성균관대학교 동아시아학술원 2011 Sungkyun Journal of East Asian Studies Vol.11 No.1

A great deal of Li Shangyin`s (ca. 812-858) poetry on history, a subgenre in Chinese classical verse, is outstanding among similar works by his contemporaries and by poets of previous ages. And in writing his poems on history, allusion served as an important mode for him. Centering round a major feature of his poetry on history, that is, the combination of traditional attitudes toward history with satire and irony, this article tackles the poet`s artful manipulation of different modes of reading allusion, especially historical allusions. Through an analysis of selections from his allusive poems on historical themes, the article reveals how Li Shangyin`s poetry on history produces a metaphorical and allegorical effect while using historical events as a moral mirror to reflect the political present.

Effect of Sub-Structure and Precipitation Behavior on Mechanical Properties of Al–xCu–Li Alloys

        Yu‑zhuo Li,Guang‑jun Zeng,Ding‑ding Lu,Zhen‑zhen Liu,San‑xi Deng,Peng‑cheng Ma,Yong‑lai Chen,Rui‑feng Zhang,Jin‑feng Li 대한금속·재료학회 2023 METALS AND MATERIALS International Vol.29 No.11

The tensile properties and microstructure of extruded and cold rolled 2A55 Al–Li alloys with different Cu content werestudied. After solution treatment, the strength of extruded sheets is slightly higher than that of cold rolled sheets due to strongdeformation texture and high density of substructure. However, the strength change order is different with the increase of Cucontent with T6-24 h. The extruded sample with higher Cu content have higher strength due to many dense T1precipitates. The δ′/θ′/δ′ composite precipitates and θ′ precipitates suppress the formation of T1precipitates, which cause cold rolled samplewith higher Cu content shows lower strength. Additionally, many fine T1precipitates nucleate at the sub-grain boundariesformed in the extrusion process, which have a significant effect on the mechanical property.

Sublethal effects of beta-cypermethrin on the bird cherry-oat aphid Rhopalosiphum padi (Hemiptera: Aphididae)

        Qing-Qing Zhang,Wen-Qiang Li,Zeng-Bin Lu,Li-Li Li,Yi Yu,Chao Li,Xing-Yuan Men 한국응용곤충학회 2019 Journal of Asia-Pacific Entomology Vol.22 No.3

Rhopalosiphum padi is a sap-sucking aphid and an important pest of wheat that causes considerable yield loss. Beta-cypermethrin, a synthetic pyrethroid pesticide, has a broad insecticide spectrum and is considered effective for aphid control, while its residual concentrations may have sublethal effects on R. padi. Here, the sublethal effects of beta-cypermethrin on R. padi were conducted under laboratory conditions. The acute toxicity test showed that LC 10 , LC 20 , and LC 25 of beta-cypermethrin to R. padi adults were 0.003, 0.031 and 0.079 mg L −1 , respectively. The pre-adult survival rate was significantly reduced by all three concentrations. LC 20 significantly extended the development duration of 1st instar nymphs, pre-oviposition period, and oviposition period of R. padi. The adult longevity was also reduced by LC 25 . However, the fecundity did not differ between the betacypermethrin treatment and control. For life table parameters, both the finite rate (λ) and intrinsic rate of increase (r) decreased at LC 10 and LC 20 , as well as the net reproductive rate (R 0 ) reduced at LC 10 and LC 25 , while mean generation time (T) increased at LC 20 . Thus, at the concentrations of beta-cypermethrin tested here, there were negative impacts on R. padi fitness by decreased pre-adult survival rate, λ, r, and R 0 , and delayed the development of some stages and increased T.

Implantation of Bone Marrow Mesenchymal Stem Cells into Small Intestinal Submucosa Improves Bile Duct Injury in Rabbits

        Li Ying,Wang Piao,Hu Xiao-dong,Zeng Jing-da,Fang Cheng,Gan Yu,Peng Fang-yi,Yang Xiao-li,Luo De,Li Bo,Su Song 한국조직공학과 재생의학회 2021 조직공학과 재생의학 Vol.18 No.5

BACKGROUND: Bile duct injury (BDI), which may occur during cholecystectomy procedures and living-donor liver transplantation, leads to life-altering complications and significantly increased mortality and morbidity. Tissue engineering, as an emerging method, has shown great potential to treat BDI. Here, we aimed to explore the application of small intestinal submucosa (SIS) matrix composites with bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells (BMSCs) to treat BDI in a rabbit model. METHODS: Rabbit-derived BMSCs were used as seed cells. Porcine SIS was used as the support material. Five centimetres of the common bile duct was dissected, and 1/3–1/2 of the anterior wall diameter was transversely incised to construct the rabbit BDI model. Then, SIS materials without/with BMSCs were inserted into the common bile duct of the BDI rabbits. After 1, 2, 4, and 8 weeks of implantation, the common bile duct was removed. Haematoxylin and eosin (HE) staining was used to assess pathological alterations in the common bile duct, while immunohistochemical staining and western blotting were used to detect expression of the epithelial cell markers CK19 and E-cadherin. Scanning electron microscopy was used to evaluate BMSC growth. RESULTS: Compared with BMSCs alone, SIS-attached BMSCs had increased growth. HE staining showed that the injured bile duct healed well and that the complex gradually degraded as the time from implantation increased. Immunohistochemical staining and western blotting showed that compared with the control group, the in vivo complex group had significantly elevated expression levels of CK19 and E-cadherin. CONCLUSION: BMSC implantation into SIS could improve BDI in rabbits, which might have clinical value for BDI treatment. • FOREST AND NON-FOREST MAPPING USING ILU IMAGE OVER ZENGCHENG COUNTY IN CHINA

Li, Zeng Yuan,Rosich, Betlem,Chen, Er Xue 대한원격탐사학회 2000 International Symposium on Remote Sensing Vol.16 No.1

In order to evaluate the feasibility of ERS SAR Tandem data for mapping forest/non-forest cover, a case study was carried out over Zhengcheng Caunty in the South China. Digital Land Use Map of this county was used as ground truth to collect signature of different land use types and to evaluate forest and nan-forest classification accuracy. A hierarchical classification tree was established for land use types classification by careful analysis of histograms of several land use types. The classification result was analyzed by comparison with digital ground truth data pixel by pixel. It was shown that there was a considerably good agreement between the ground truth forest map and the obtained forest and non-forest map. An accuracy of 75% has been achieved.
