        Research on Large‑scale Photovoltaic Planning Based on Risk Assessment in Distribution Network

        Risks caused by large amounts of distributed photovoltaic (PV) feeding into distribution networks, have an impact on PV planning, which has become a critical consideration for distribution networks’ operation. In this paper, a large-scale PV planning method is proposed which based on risk assessment in distribution networks. Cluster division is used to group large-scale distributed PVs. A risk assessment is performed on the distribution network, considering the correlation between PVs and loads. The efects of load fuctuations, PV quantity, capacity and location on the operational risk of the distribution network are analyzed and discussed. A large-scale PV planning model is established with the goal of maximizing the comprehensive benefts, considering the penalty cost of node voltage over-limit and branch power fow over-limit risk. Finally, the genetic algorithm is used to solve the planning model. The simulation results demonstrate the efectiveness of the proposed method.

        Facile and scalable synthesis of nitrogen-doped ordered mesoporous carbon for high performance supercapacitors

        Nitrogen-doped carbon has been receiving tremendous research interest due to its exotic electrochemical performance and catalyzing capability. Nevertheless, large-scale synthesis of ordered, mesoporous, nitrogen-doped carbon for supercapacitors is rarely reported due to the complexity and uncontrollable property of polymerization of carbon/ nitrogen precursors. In this work, we report a facile and efficient approach for mass production of nitrogen-doped carbon, with a narrow pore size distribution and a sheet morphology, via a simple solution casting of biomass-based mixture. Upon drying, the gelatin molecules self-assemble into sheets, and guide the homogeneous loading of sacrificial silica nanospheres. Further carbonization and template removal procedures allow the low-cost production of nitrogendoped carbon sheets in the absence of complex polymerization. As a result, nitrogen-doped carbon sheets possess a high nitrogen content and ordered, interconnected mesoporous channels, with porosity parameters being carbonization temperature and template size dependence. Additionally, nitrogen-doped, ordered carbon sheets exhibit high performance for supercapacitor application, including high specific capacitances and energy/power densities. This work demonstrates a unique route to synthesizing ordered mesoporous nitrogen-doped carbon sheets via a scalable, low-cost method, which may shed light on many other applications aside from energy storage, such as water splitting, catalysis and sensor.

      • Survival Analysis of Oral Squamous Cell Carcinoma in a Subgroup of Young Patients

        Oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) is predominantly a disease of middle-aged men with long-term exposure to tobacco and alcohol. An increasing trend has been reported at a younger age worldwide. Clinical records of 100 patients under the age of 45 years treated specifically for oral cavity SCC in our hospital during a 10-year period were retrospectively analyzed to calculate the survival rates. An obvious male predominance coincided with smoking trend among Chinese young individuals and female patients were more likely to have no traditional risk factors such as smoking or drinking. The 5-year overall survival rate and disease-free survival rate were 61.0% and 75.5%, respectively, consistent with other published series over the decade showing a relatively better survival among the young. No significant differences clearly correlated with outcome when comparing non-smokers non-drinkers to ever-smokers and ever drinkers (P>0.05). Overall survival rate and disease free survival rate was found to be significantly higher in patients with early-stage disease than with advanced stage disease (P=0.001, P=0.009 respectively). The strong influence of clinical stage on prognosis emphasizes the importance of early diagnosis and treatment of oral malignancies for this unique clinical subgroup.

        Does H3K27M Mutation Impact Survival Outcome of High-Grade Spinal Cord Astrocytoma?

        Objective: To evaluate the impact of H3K27M mutation in the prognosis of histological high-grade intramedullary astrocytoma. Methods: A total of 78 patients who were diagnosed with high-grade spinal cord astrocytoma were included. Clinical data consisting demographic, radiological, molecular features and treatment data were recorded. Univariate and multivariate Cox analysis were performed to investigate variables associated with survival outcome of histological high-grade spinal cord astrocytoma. Results: Median survival time was 21 months. Overall survival (OS) at 1 and 3 years was 65.7% and 40.7%, respectively. Sex, location, and tumor span did not present significant association with OS. Patients with H3K27M mutation showed significant shorter duration of symptom than patients with H3K27 wild-type. As respect to adjuvant treatment, adjuvant radiotherapy and chemotherapy were associated with favorable OS (both p = 0.01). Younger patients (age ≤ 18 years) had shorter OS (p = 0.008) than adult patients (age > 18 years). Of note, H3K27M mutation did not show significant impact on the survival outcome, regardless of histology grade 3 or grade 4 (p = 0.3). Conclusion: Histological high-grade spinal cord astrocytoma has dismal prognosis. Our study demonstrated that H3K27M mutation did not show significant impact on survival outcome of histological high-grade spinal cord astrocytoma.

        Two Maternal Lineages Revealed by Mitochondrial DNA D-loop Sequences in Chinese Native Water Buffaloes (Bubalus bubalis)

        Little is known about the origin and genetic diversity of swamp buffaloes in China. To obtain more knowledge on genetics of the water buffalo in China, the complete mitochondrial D-loop sequences of 30 samples from 6 native types were investigated. The results revealed 12 mitochondrial haplotypes with 50 polymorphic sites. Among these polymorphic sites, there were 49 transitions and 1 transversion. The average nucleotide diversity and haplotype diversity estimated from mtDNA D-loop region in 6 Chinese water buffalo types were 0.00684 and 0.798, respectively, showing rather abundant mitochondrial genetic diversity. The Neighbor-Joining (NJ) tree of mtDNA of Chinese water buffaloes was constructed according to the 12 haplotypes. The NJ tree indicated two lineages being designated lineage A and lineage B, in which lineage A was predominant, and lineage B was at low frequency. The new lineage B was first discovered and defined in 6 Chinese water buffalo types. These results showed that two different maternal lineages were involved in the origin of domestic swamp buffaloes in China and the lineage B was probably an introgression from Southeast Asian buffaloes.

        Next-generation sequencing of the mitochondrial genome of Dolichovespula panda (Hymenoptera: Vespidae) with a phylogenetic analysis of Vespidae

        For the first time the mitochondrial genome of a Dolichovespula species, D. panda Archer (Hymenoptera: Vespidae), was sequenced with a next-generation sequencing approach. The sequenced mitochondrial genome is 17137 bp long and consists of 13 protein-coding, 22 tRNA and two rRNA genes, as well as a partial A +T-rich region. Twenty-two of the genes are encoded on the majority strand and 15 genes on the minority strand. All protein-coding genes start with ATN codons and have a TAA termination codon, except for one with a TA codon. Compared with the putative ancestral arrangement of insects, the D. panda mitochondrial genome shows the shuffling of trnN and trnE, and of trnQ and trnM, the translocation of trnY to upstream of trnI, and of trnL1 to the region between trnS2 and nad1 and a reversal of trnS1. A phylogenetic tree within the Vespidae was reconstructed using the 13 protein-coding mitochondrial genes. This shows a sister group relationship between Dolichovespula and a clade formed by Vespa and Vespula. It also corroborated the position of Eumeninae as sister group of the clade Polistinae +Vespinae.

        Efficient Mucosal Immunization by Mucoadhesive and pH-Sensitive Polymeric Vaccine Delivery System

        Mucosal surfaces as the largest immune organ of human body cover 400 m2 of the body including the gastrointestinal, urogenital, and respiratory tracts. The local mucosal immunity is an important first line of defense against many pathogens because most pathogens initiate their infection through access to the mucosal region of body. Also, the mucosal vaccines induce mucosal and systemic immunity simultaneously. Therefore, attracted by the advantages of mucosal immunity, researchers keep an eye on the mucoadhesive and pH-sensitive polymeric vaccine delivery system to solve several limitations of mucosal administration, making mucosal immunity receive great interests lately. In this review, we discuss natural polymer- and synthetic polymer-based mucoadhesive and pHsensitive systems used for mucosal vaccine delivery. Also, we cover how to target antigen presenting cells and M cells for the cell specificity. Finally, we conclude the significant progress in mucosal vaccine and the prospect mucosal vaccine research in the future.

        Liver metabolic perturbations of heat-stressed lactating dairy cows

        Objective: The objective of the present study was to elucidate the mechanism underlying liver metabolic perturbations in dairy cows exposed to heat stress (HS). Methods: Liquid chromatography massabl spectrometry was used to analyze metabolic differences in livers of 20 dairy cows, with and without exposure to HS. Results: The results revealed 33 potential metabolite candidate biomarkers for the detection of HS in dairy cows. Fifteen of these metabolites (glucose, lactate, pyruvate, acetoacetate, ${\beta}$-hydroxybutyrate, fumaric acid, citric acid, choline, glycine, proline, isoleucine, leucine, urea, creatinine, and orotic acid) were previously found to be potential biomarkers of HS in plasma or milk, discriminating dairy cows with and without HS. Conclusion: All the potential diagnostic biomarkers were involved in glycolysis, amino acid, ketone, tricarboxylic acid, or nucleotide metabolism, indicating that HS mainly affected energy and nucleotide metabolism in lactating dairy cows.

        Study on Thermal Load Capacity of Transmission Line Based on IEEE Standard

        With the sustained and rapid development of new energy sources, the demand for electric energy is increasingday by day. However, China’s energy distribution is not balanced, and the construction of transmission lines isin a serious lag behind the improvement of generating capacity. So there is an urgent need to increase theutilization of transmission capacity. The transmission capacity is mainly limited by the maximum allowableoperating temperature of conductor. At present, the evaluation of transmission capacity mostly adopts the staticthermal rating (STR) method under severe environment. Dynamic thermal rating (DTR) technique canimprove the utilization of transmission capacity to a certain extent. In this paper, the meteorological parametersaffecting the conductor temperature are analyzed with the IEEE standard thermal equivalent equation ofoverhead transmission lines, and the real load capacity of 220 kV transmission line is calculated with 7-yearactual meteorological data in Weihai. Finally, the thermal load capacity of DTR relative to STR under givenconfidence is analyzed. By identifying the key parameters that affect the thermal rating and analyzing therelevant environmental parameters that affect the conductor temperature, this paper provides a theoretical basisfor the wind power grid integration and grid intelligence. The results show that the thermal load potential oftransmission lines can be effectively excavated by DTR, which provides a theoretical basis for improving theabsorptive capacity of power grid.

        Ag2Se Modified TiO2 Heterojunction with Enhanced Visible-Light Photocatalytic Performance

        To build a highly active photocatalytic system with high efficiency and low cast of TiO2, we report a facile hydrothermal technique to synthesize Ag2Se-nanoparticle-modified TiO2 composites. The physical characteristics of these samples are analyzed by X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy with energy dispersive X-ray analysis, transmission electron microscopy and BET analysis. The XRD and TEM results show us that TiO2 is coupled with small sized Ag2Se nanoplate, which has an average grain size of about 30 nm in diameter. The agglomeration of Ag2Se nanoparticles is improved by the hydrothermal process, with dispersion improvement of the Ag2Se@TiO2 nanocomposite. Texbrite BA-L is selected as a simulated dye to study the photodegradation behavior of as-prepared samples under visible light radiation. A significant enhancement of about two times the photodegradation rate is observed for the Ag2Se@TiO2 nanocomposite compared with the control sample P25 and as-prepared TiO2. Long-term stability of Ag2Se@TiO2 is observed via ten iterations of recycling experiments under visible light irradiation.
