        평생교육 참여결정이론에 관한 연구

        평생교육에서 학습자의 참여결정과정은 평생에 걸쳐 지속적으로 다양한 요인들이 복합적으로 상호작용하는 과정으로 이해할 수 있으므로, 평생교육 참여에 관한 논의도 장기적이고 종합적 접근이 요구된다. 즉, 초기의 참여결정에서 계속적인 참여과정에 이르기까지의 장기적인 과정에 영향을 미치는 개인적, 심리적, 사회적, 교육기관 및 제도적, 환경적 특성들의 영향력을 종합적으로 규명하는 시도가 필요하다. 따라서 이 연구는 우선 장기적이고 종합적인 평생교육 참여결정 모형 개발을 위한 준거 틀을 제공하는 데 목적을 두고, 초기 참여결정과 참여지속결정에 관한 선행연구들을 분석적으로 고찰한 후 이를 토대로 다차원적 참여결정 관련요인들을 종합˙정리하였다. 연구결과, 초기 참여결정과 참여지속결정 모두에 관련된 요인들로 학습자의 배경 특성, 학습자의 사회경제적 특성, 학습자의 심리적 특성, 학습자의 학습환경 특성, 교육기관의 특성, 프로그램의 특성, 교육기관의 환경 특성, 제도적/사회적 환경 특성 등을 제시하였으며, 참여지속 혹은 중도탈락결정에는 교육경험 특성이 추가적인 요인으로 나타났다. 그러나 개인관련 특성도 상당 부분 학습자의 외부 여건이나 제도의 개선, 교육기관의 노력으로 해결할 수 있음을 알 수 있다. 따라서 이 연구에서는 결론으로서 평생교육 기회 확대 및 활성화를 위한 교육기관 차원과 사회제도적 차원의 과제로서, 평생교육기관의 공동체화, 개인적˙사회적 목적의 통합 및 조화, 평생교육지원제도 구축 및 환경 조성 등을 제안하였다. In lifelong education, learners are affected by various factors in making a decision of participation in their life time. The study on participation in lifelong education thus requires the inclusive and the long-term approach. This study attempts to elucidate the various factors that derive from individual, Psychological, social, institutional and environmental aspects, It should also cover the beginning stage where learners make a decision of participation for the first time as well as the continuing stage where learners make a decision about persistence of their education. Accordingly, this study aims to provide a framework to develop a long-term and inclusive participation model of lifelong education. The previous studies on participation theory(Miller, Rubenson, Darkenwald & Merriam, Cookson, and Henry & Basile) and persistence/dropout model(Boshier, Mackinnon-Slaney, Thompson, Tinto, and Bean & Metzner) are analyzed and the related factors in the diverse aspects are summarized. The results of the study show that the related factors of participation and persistence are found in learners, institutions, and policies; learners' personal information, socio-economic status, Psychological characteristics, learning environments, educational institutions, Programs, institutional environment, and social system and policies, In addition, educational experience in institutions is another important factor for persistence or dropout. Also, the non-participation and dropout of learners can be resolved by improvement of learning environment, Policy change, and institutional support. It is thus concluded that community of lifelong education, integration and harmony of individual and social purposes, support system of lifelong education, and the better educational environment should be established for providing and expanding chances of lifelong education.

        Afferent loop syndrome is an uncommon complication of a gastrectomy and Billroth Ⅱ reconstruction. It may cause symtoms at any time from the first postoperative day to many years after the gastrectomy. Afferent loop syndrome is characterized by abdominal pain, vomiting and elevation of serum amylase. Thus, it is difficult to differentiate afferent loop syndrome from other cause of acute pancreatitis. However, the history of gastrectomy can be an important clue for diagnosing afferent loop syndrome. We experienced one case of chronic afferent loop syndrome with acute pancreatitis. After appropriate management, the abdominal pain disappeared and serum amylase level decreased. We report this case with a review of relevant literatures.

        Isolation and characterization of the Citrobacter freundii phage EF1 from earthworm (Eisenia andrei)

        Earthworms, especially Eisenia andrei, are cultivated for a variety of purposes including waste disposal and compost production. In this study, bacteria from earthworm gut were cultured and the dominant species identified. Subsequently, we isolated bacteriophages able to lyse the isolated gut bacteria. Two dominant genera of gut bacteria, Aeromonas sp. and Citrobacter sp. were identified by using MALDI-TOF MS analysis and a library was constructed to find lytic phages. Phage EF1 showed lytic activity for C. freundii and two Citrobacter isolates, C. braakii and C. murliniae. These 3 species have similar sensitivities to EF1. Several aspects of the life cycle of EF1 were investigated by using C. freundii under optimal growth conditions. EF1 infects C. freundii with a moderate latent period, approximately 25 min, and a large burst size averaging 5 × 10 9 per infected cell. Moreover, the antimicrobial activity of EF1 was well maintained under diverse conditions including a broad temperature range of 40°C to 50°C and a wide pH range of 4 to 11. In conclusion, the results indicate that earthworm casting contain a wide range of bacteria species, for which there are various corresponding bacteriophages

        Mortality of Fishes and Shellfishes to Harmful Algal Blooms

        Mortality of several species of fish and shellfish exposed to Harmful Algal Blooms (HABs) caused by Cochlodinium polykrikoides, Heterosigam akashiwo, Alexandriunz tarnarww, Eutreptiella gymnastica, Heterocapsa triyuetra and Prorocentrunz micans was studied. When fish were exposed to a cell density of 8,000 cells mL^(-1) in C. polykrikoides, 35% of flatfish and darkbanded rockfish died within 48 hrs. However, jacopever rockfish had mortality of higher than 85%. Rock bream, filefish and red sea bream showed 100% mortality within 10 hrs with an exposure cell density of 8,000 cells mL-'. The rest of HABs except for C. polykrikoides showed that there was no fish and shellfish death throughout the 48 hrs even in the maximum cell density of 100,000 cells mL-'. These results imply that C. polykr-ikoides can have a serious impact on fish mortality and it is regarded as an ichthyotoxic dinoflagellate. The fish death may be attributed to anoxia caused by a combination of the production of reactive oxygen species (ROS) and polysaccharide from C. polykrikoides during blooms.

      • Growth of AlN layer on patterned sapphire substrate by hydride vapor phase epitaxy

        <P>Even though a patterned sapphire substrate (PSS) has been used for the growth of a high-quality epilayer because of its many advantages, it has not been successfully used to grow an AlN epilayer for ultraviolet (UV) light-emitting diodes (LEDs) on a PSS up to now. We report the growth of a high-quality AlN epilayer on a PSS, as a substrate for the manufacture of UV LEDs, by hydride vapor phase epitaxy (HVPE). The X-ray diffraction (XRD) peaks for the AlN epilayer grown on the PSS indicate that crystalline AlN with a wurtzite structure was grown successfully on the PSS. Furthermore, HVPE combining both in situ HVPE technology and liquid-phase epitaxy (LPE) using a mixed source is proposed as a novel method for the growth of a flat AlN epilayer on a PSS.         이야기꾼의 전쟁 리포트에 담긴 픽션화된 휴머니즘 연구: 『한때 전쟁이 있었다』

        노벨 문학상 작가인 존 스타인벡은 제2차 세계대전 중 영국, 북아프리카, 이탈리아에서 특파원 활동을 함으로써 미국 정부의 전쟁총력전에 참가하였다. 스타인벡의 전문들은 볼거리보다는 인간적인 요소 즉, 인간의 감정, 생활양상, 두려움, 가십거리에 집중하였고, 가끔은 그가 얻은 사실에 픽션화 기술을 추가하였다. 거기에 더하여 정부는 정확한 이름과 수치를 금지함으로써 엄격한 검열을 실시함으로써 다른 보도자들의 전문들을 제한하였는바 이는 스타인벡의 저작을 상대적으로 유리하게 하는 결과를 낳게 했다. 이논문의 목적은 스타인벡의『한때 전쟁이 있었다』의 전체적인 본문을 관찰해 봄으로써 그의 논픽션의 휴머니즘과 군인들의 전쟁터에서 가진 인간으로서의 조건들을 조명하고, 현대인들이 가지고 있는 보편적인 특징들을 논하는 것이다. 이것은 다른 평자들이 논픽션과 선전물의 유형 때문에 많이 시도하지 않은 바이다. 이 연구의 결과로서 나는 이 픽션화된 진술들이 미국 문학의 한 유형이라고 불리어질 가치가 있다고 주장하고자 하는데, 그 이유는 그것들이 전투 중 자신들의 죽음에 직면한 평범한 사람들의 소박하고 진솔한 성격을 보여주고 있으며, 또한 실용주의, 직업주의, 영웅주의, 긍정적 사고방식 그리고 쾌활한 유머를 포함하고 있기 때문이다. John Steinbeck, a Nobel-Literature-Prize laureate, joined the American government’s war effort in the Second World War by being a correspondent in England, North Africa, and Italy. Steinbeck’s dispatches were immensely popular among the soldiers as well as American civilians. The reason is that Steinbeck’s news reports were focused on the human factors-the men’s feelings, lifestyles, fear, gossips-rather than the spectacle, and sometimes added his fictional skills to the facts he gained. Additionally, the stern governmental censorship was relatively advantageous to Steinbeck’s work because it restricted other reporters’ actual dispatches by forbidding them to write exact names and numbers. The purpose of this paper is to illuminate humanism of Steinbeck’s nonfiction and the soldiers’ human conditions at the battlefield by observing the whole text of his collection of reports, Once There Was a War, and discuss the universal characteristics modern people have, as the other critics have not attempted much because of its style of nonfiction and propaganda. As a result, I insist that these fictionalized statements are worthy of being called a sort of American literature because they show the simple and genuine personalities of the ordinary men who face their death while fighting, and also include pragmatism, professionalism, heroism, positive thinking method, and hilarious humor.

        백서(白鼠)에서 오공약침(蜈蚣藥鍼)이 신경병증성(神經病症性) 통증(痛症)에 미치는 영향(影響)

        Objectives: In the present study, the effect of Scolopendrid Water-Alcohol Extract (SWAE) applied to acupuncture point BL23 (Shinsu) on the neuropathic pain was examined. A common source of persistent pain in humans is the neuropathic pain. Anti-convulsant drugs are used to treat the neuropathic pain. In the oriental medicine, Scolopendrid was used for long time to treat convulsant syndrome and back pain, etc. Methods: On the bases of the Scolopendrid clinical application, the effect of SWAE applied to the acupuncture point was tested in the rat model of neuropathic pain. Neuropathic pain was induced by tight ligation of L5 spinal nerve. When rats developed pain behaviors, One hundred microliter of SWAE was applied into the ipsilateral BL23 point at a dose of 10 mg/ml under enflurane anesthesia. The foot withdraw latency of the hind limb was measured for an indicator of pain level after each manipulation. Results: SWAE injection increased the mechanical threshold of the foot in the rat model of neuropathic pain significantly for the duration of 4h, suggesting a partial alleviation of pain. SWAE applied to BL23 point produced a significant improvement of mechanical sensitivity of the foot lasting for at least 4h. However, neither contralateral BL23 point, ST25 (Chonchu) point, nor LR3 (Taechung) point produce as much increase of mechanical sensitivity as ipsilateral BL23 point. And, this increase of mechanical sensitivity was dose-dependent. The improvement of mechanical threshold was interpreted as an analgesic effect. In addition, the analgesic effect of Scolopendrid 4 mg/kg injection is equivalent to that of gabapentin 50 mg/kg injection. The relations between SWAE-induced analgesia and endogenous nitric oxide(NO), inducible NO synthase (iNOS)/neuronal NO synthase (nNOS) were also examined. Results were turned out that both NO production and nNOS/iNOS protein expression which are increased by nerve injury were suppressed by SWAE injection applied to BL23 point. Conclusions: The data suggest 1) that SWAE produces a potent analgesic effect on the neuropathic pain model in the rat and 2) that SWAE-induced analgesia modulate endogenous NO through the suppression of nNOS/iNOS protein expression.
