        The purpose of this study is to analyze the conservation management and using development of the Moak-san provincial park with special regards to natural and cultural environment. Recently, with the rapid increase of use about national and provincial parks as a area of outdoor recreation, our natural park faces a serious environmental problems. So the quality of outdoor recreation has been decreased. Therefore, The conservation methods of natural park and resourse are very important for the maintenance of natural and cultural environment. Kumoh-san was appointed at first as a provincial park in 1970. And 20 provincial parks are present now in Korea. Moak-san provincial park extends over 2 Shis and 1 Gun including Kimjea-Shi(28.22㎢), Wanju-Gun(10.69㎢) and Chonju-Shi(3.31㎢). It's location is at 127˚ 02' E and 35˚42' N. In its climate, the annual mean precipitation is 1134.3mm, and temperature is 12.0∼12.5℃. In this park area, mostly Buddhist cultral asserts are collectively preserved, such as the Kumsansa, Kuksinsa. Soowangsa and Daewonsa. Vegetation of Moak-san was investigated 440 species. The Fegaceae is main species. As remarkable thing of park use, the trail which make an effect on the park resource conservation and effect promotion of park use established but if asked thorohgh management, because of intense gully erosion phenomenon. Recently, in the direction of Kumsansa and Kui project is developing or planning, but in the direction of Chunginri project is not established yet, so we request the valance Moak-san total development pslan. In the development plan, rational harmony of development and conservation was pointed out the essense factor.

      • 치수절단술에 사용되는 약제가 백서 치배 및 치배주위조직세포에 미치는 영향에 관한 ^3H-thymidine을 이용한 자기방사법적인 연구

        Formocresol(FC) had been widely used as medicament for pulpotomy, but because FC have strong toxicity, carcinogenic potential, and strong diffusible properties in tissues, Glutaraldehyde, another medicament for pulpotomy was greatly presented by many investigators and practitioners. Although many investigators had studied difference of two medicament's effects on periodontal tissues and tooth germ, there were no manuscripts of cellular activity about these medicaments applied to teeth, but there were almost clinical, histopathological studies. Especially in the investigative effects on tooth germ, the results were controversal. Thus to investigate about effects on cellular actiity of perigerminal tissue and tooth germ of rat, author presented the cellular activity and the pathologic change through calculating Thymidine labelling index(TLI) from autoradiographic technique using 3H-thymidine after these medicaments were applied to tooth. The obtained results were as follows. 1. Inflammation was initiated after one week of FC and two weeks of GA. It was thought that diffusible property of GA was lesser than that of FC. 2. In group treated with FC, inflammation, vasodilation and bone destruction continuously increased for all periods of experiment and the feature of 8 weeks was very severe. But in group treated with GA, inflammation, vasodilation and bone destruction slightly incresed for all period of experment. 3. TLI was increased after two weeks of FC, but decreased after four weeks because of different accumulative concentration between 2 and 4 weeks. 4. GA treated group which did not show the change of the cellular activity of perigerminal tissue and tooth germ presented the slight effects on these cells. 5. Changes of cellular activities in FC treated group did not result from inflammation, but formocresole's property itself. And bone destruction was derived from secondary effects of inflammation. 6.       • 임신백서에 투여된 Isoproterenol이 신생백서 악하선 세포의 증식에 미치는 영향에 관한 면역조직화학적 연구

        Isoproterenol, β-adrenergic drug, induce the stimulation of DNA synthesis of parotid and submaxillary gland by single injection and prominant hyperplastic and hypertrophic enlargement by multiple injection. The purpose of this study was to investigate the proliferation, and differentiation of submaxillary gland of new born rat form IPR treated pregnant rats in order to understand the development and cellular proliferation of salivary gland. 150-200 gm, female Sprauge Dawley rats were mated and divided into two groups as control and experimental group. Experimental group were injected at same time on 15, 16, 17 days after preganacy with IPR 16ug/g through intraperitoneum. 5 new born rats were sacrificed at 2, 3, 5, 7, 11, 14, 21, 28 days and 2 submaxillary glands were fixed in Bouin's solution for 8-12 hours. 4um paraffin sections with poly-L-lysin slide were stained with H&E. In order to examine cellular proliferation and differentiation, immunohistochemical staining was done. Anti-PCNA antibody and Anti-EGF antibody as primary antibody, and Rabbit anti- mouse biotinylated IgG and Goat anti-rabbit biotinylated IgG as secon-dary antibody were used with ABC method. DAB as chromogen and balsam mounting were done. PCNA positive cells of submaxillary gland were counted at 3 different sites under the light microscope of 200 power fields. According to the obtained numbers, they were divided into 20 stages and compared with those of control group. EGF positive cells were divided into 5 stages according to their stainability. The results were as follows. 1. Body weight of rat in experimental group markedly decreased after postnatal 21 days than that of control group, while gland weight was 3-3.8 times heavier within postnatal 7 days. 2. Histopathologic features showed mainly proacinar and terminal tubule cells in early stage, while proacinar cells disappeared after postnatal 14 days, and terminal tubule cells markedly decreased but acinar cells prominantly increased. 3. Immunohistochemical features of PCNA showed active proliferation of proacinar cells in postnatal 2 days of experimental group, which were subsided, while acinar cells presented the most active proliferation in postnatal 7 days, and proliferation of terminal tubble cells were to be continued. Proliferation of intercalated and striated duct cells was relatively to be continued. 4. Immunohistochemical features of EGF showed moderate positive mucous cells after postnatal 7 days, and moderate positive terminal tubule cells from postnatal 5 to 14 days. Intercalated duct and striated duct cells showed moderate positivity after postnatal 14 days, and strong on 28 days. From the above mentions, the increased PCNA positivity in postnal 2-7 days strongly suggested transformation of procinar cell into acinar cell. Among the glandular cells, acinar and terminal tubule cells continously showed proliferative activity after postnatal 7 days. EGF positivity of mucous, inter calated duct and striated duct cells were similar to those of control group after postnatal 14 days. It might mean that IPR had little effect on EFG stainability.

        전신성홍반성루푸스 환자에서 발생한 순수어농

        순수어농이란 발성언어에 대한 이해와 반복에 장애를 보이지만 읽기, 쓰기, 비발성언어에 대한 이해는 보존되는 경우를 일컫는다. 저자들은 45세 루푸스 환자에서 루푸스 혈관염으로 인해 일차 청각 피질을 포함한 왼쪽 관자이랑에 뇌경색이 발생하여 초래한 순수어농 1예를 경험하였기에 보고하는 바이다. Pure word deafness is characterized by an impairment of auditory comprehension and repetition of speech while a preservation of reading, writing, spontaneous speech and ability to comprehend non-verbal sounds. It is caused by trauma, infection in the temporal lobe of brain. In most cases, the lesions are bilateral, in the middle third of superior temporal gyri, but in a few cases unilateral lesions of dominant temporal lobe are localized. We experienced a case of 45 year-old right handed wonman with systemic lupus erythemato년 (SLE) who presented pure word deafness after left temporal lobe infarction including primary auditory center. Her comprehension was impaired, while reading and visual comprehension were normal. Audiometric tests and auditory evoked potentials disclosed no hearing defect. Brain MRI showed a left temporal lobe infarction without abnormal vascular finding in MRA. She wasdiagnosed as pure word deafness due to SLE vasculitis and managed with high dose steroid and cyclophosphamide therapies.

        각종 위질환에 있어서의 혈청 gastrin 치에 관한 임상적 연구

        The fasting serum gastrin levels were measured by radioimmunoassay in 32 normal healthy subjects without recognized gastrointestinal symptoms and 93 patients with various gastric diseases, who were visited of admitted to National Medical Center from February to June, 1981. The following results were obtained; 1) The fasting mean serum gastrin level in normal subjects was 55.9±26.3 pg/m1, and there was no difference between male and female. 2) The gastrin levels in gastric and duodenal ulcer were 85.0±28.4 and 76.0±43.0 pg/ml respectively, and it's values were elevated as compared with normal subjects. In gastric ulcer, the gastrin level was elevated than that of duodenal ulcer, but no significant difference in each other. 3) The gastrin level in stomach cancer was 89.5±42.2 pg/ml, and it's values were markedly elevated as compared with values in normal subjects. 4) The gastrin level in gastritis was 73.4±37. 4 pg/ml, and it's values were elevated as compared with values in normal subjects. 5) The gastrinl in post-gastrectomy state was 50.3±16.3 pg/ml, and it's values were slightly decreased as compared with values in normal subjects.

      • Enhanced bone formation by controlled growth factor delivery from chitosan-based biomaterials

        For the pulpose of obtaining high bone forming efficacy. developlment of chitosan was attempted as a tool useful as ascaffolding device. Porous chitosan matrices, chitosan-poiy(L-lactide) (PLLA) composite matrtices and chitosan coated onPLLA matrices were dealt with in this research. Porous chitosan matrix was fabricated by freeze-drying and cross-linkingaqueous chitosan solution. Porous chitosan matrix combined with ceramics and constituents of extracellular matrices wereprepared and examined for their bone regenerative potential. Composite porous matrix of chitosall-PLLA was prepared bymixing polyiactide with chitosan and freeze-drying. Al1 chitosan based devices demonstrated improved bone formingcapacity by increasing mechanical stability and biocompatibility. Release of platelet-derived growth factor-BB (PDGf-BH )from these matrices exerted significant osteoinductive effect in addition to the higf esteocdElducting capacity of the porouschitosan matrices. The hydrophobic surface of PLLA matrices was modified by chitosan to enhance cell affinity andwettability, The chitosan coafed PLLA matrix induced increased osteoblast attachment as compared with intact PLLAsurface. Overall results in this study demonstrated the usefulness of chitosan as drug releasing scaffolds and as modificationtools for currently used biomaterials to enhance tissue regeneration efficacy. These results may expand the feasibilitr ofcombinatfve strategy of controlled locai drug delivery concept and tissue engineered bone formation in reconstructivetherapy in the field of periodontics, orthopedics and plastic surgery.
