Our study analyzes whether economic policy uncertainty influences firms’ mergers and acquisition (M&A) in Korea. Employing economic policy uncertainty proxies proposed by Baker et al. (2016), and Cho and Kim (2023) which concentrate on Korean market, we observe the effect of both overall and categorical-specific index on firms’ decisions – namely, exchange policy uncertainty, fiscal policy uncertainty, monetary policy uncertainty and trade policy uncertainty. Our results are summarized as following. First, among categoricalspecific indices, foreign exchange uncertainty is shown to have negative effect on firms’ M&A decision at statistically significant level. Second, among a variety of industry sectors, the effect of foreign exchange uncertainty is statistically significant for only manufacturing and construction deals, in contrast with non-manufacturing industry in which statistically significance was not found. Lastly, the negative effect of foreign exchange policy uncertainty is found in a variety of firm setting and conditions, including foreigner’s stock ownership, and both vertical and horizontal acquisition.

This study consist of two parts. One is development of a self-propelling vinyl remover which was already reported at the previous paper. This is the second part of the study. For the study, an attached vinyl remover was developed. It was consisted of connecting tractor to bucket, removing bucket from tractor, and the process was the tractor"s assistance hydraulics. In the case of an attached vinyl remover, the vinyl was twisted 0.5times per 30∼85cm length. The bobbin"s diameter was 190mm and it"s stable travelling speed was 1m/s. The revolution of the remover wheel was 90rpm to maintain the wheel"s linear velocity. As seen at performance test at the field which had 950mm ridge intervals and 10 a area, the average working speed was 1m/s and the turning time was 20seconds. Therefore, the working performance was 24.5min/10a. The efficiency of used vinyl remover was 97% and working conditions were good.

Mulching vinyl is used on field crops to reduce herbicides and this causes multiple effects. The mulching vinyl must be collected for the next crop season, but was left alone due to a shortage of labor. The used mulching vinyl that was left alone acted as one of the main sources of environmental pollution on farms. In order to solve these problems, a self-propelling vinyl remover was developed. The self-propelling vinyl remover consists of a travelling part and rotating of remover wheel. Each output device has a 1.5ps engine and a 2.5ps engine. The vinyl was twisted 17~47㎝/times length. The bobbin’s diameter was 160㎜ and it’s stable travelling speed was 0.5㎧. The revolution of the remover wheel bobbin was 60rpm to maintain the wheel’s linear velocity. As seen at performance test at the field which had 950㎜ ridge intervals and 10a area, the average working speed was 0.56㎧ and the turning time was 15seconds. Therefore, the working performance was 40.1min/10a.

<P>Lanthanide complexes with two push-pull diketone derivatives as sensitizers have been developed as synthons for near-infrared emitting materials. The ligand substituents consist of a carbazole moiety with hole-transport properties and an aromatic or heteroaromatic unit. According to quantitative NMR analysis and complementary HPLC experiments, the diketones are predominantly in their enolic form in polar solvents such as THF and MeCN at room temperature. The preferred <I>cis</I>-enol form contributes strongly to the binding of lanthanide ions (Ln = Nd, Gd, Er). Several species of the genus Aphidius are used in biological control programs against aphid pests throughout the world and their behavior and physiology are well studied. But despite knowing the importance of sensory organs in their behavior, their antennal structure is largely unknown. In this study, the external morphology and distribution of the antennal sensilla on the antennal of both female and male adults of A. colemani were described using scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Generally, the filaform antennae of males (1,515.20±116.48 ㎛) are longer than females (1,275.06±116.42㎛). Antennae of this species is made up of scape, pedicel and flagellomeres. Male and female antennae differed in the total number of flagellomeres as 15 in males and 13 in females. Female and male antennae of A. colemani has samely seven types of sensilla. We classified sensilla placodea, Bohm bristles, 2 types of sensilla coeloconica, , 2 types of sensilla basiconica as with a tip pore and with wall pores, sensilla trichodea. In addition, the possible functions of the above sensilla types are discussed in light of previously published literature; mechanoreception(Bohm bristles, sensilla coeloconicaⅡ and sensilla trichodea) and chemoreception(sensilla coeloconicaⅠ, sensilla basiconicaⅠ,Ⅱ and sensilla placodea). Future studies on the functional morphology of the antennal sensilla of A. colemani using transmission electron microscopy (TEM) coupled with electrophysiological recordings will likely confirm the functions of the different sensilla identified in this study.
