      • 플라즈마를 이용한 VOCs 중 트리클로로에틸렌의 처리에 관한 연구

        This study has carried out for evaluation of Trichloroethylene treatment let out at the working place using a silent discharge, one out of methods to control Volatile Organic Compounds. 1. Comparative test for Ozone creation as a function of whether Trichloroethylene included or not, both of them were increased by 270ppm when the electric field intensity goes up(~30kV/cm) and dry air condition included Trichloroethylene were high more or less. It is expected that Trichloroethylene has an influence on Ozone creation as Ozone presecution substance. 2. Input Trichloroethylene concentration and flow rate related to electric field intensity had effect on decomposition efficiency. Trichloroethylene decomposition efficiency increased with rising of applied voltage. But, Treatment efficiency were lower than N₂ condition, in case of using dry air as diluted gas, due to dissipation of electron energy by triplet oxygen molecules. 3. The more increased concentration(100, 200 and 300ppm1, the lower decreased removal efficiency(96, 93.6, 90.3% at N₂ and 86, 84, 90% at dry air) and these tendencies were released at the flow rate(1, 2 and 3 ℓ / min) similarly. 4. Byproducts generated by oxidation of Trichloroethylene-Carbon monooxide, Ozone, Methyl Chloride, Chlorofom, l,l,l-Trichloroethane and Tetrachloroethylene were found out.

      • 이면(지구)도로특성을 고려한 과속방지턱에 관한 기초연구

        This paper describes the hump. It is a kind of traffic safety construction which is estabished in the community road. Its function is that reduce the running speed of vehicles. In the community road, we need a ensured safety of pedestrian ane exept of many kind of danger. And also it is very effective connect with improvement of residence enviroment or side of local traffic. By the way the problem in our case is the contents which provided present Road Traffic Law is took from standard of TRRL(Transport and Road Research Laboratory) in British without verification. So there are many kind of this construction removed primar function, reduce of running speed. The basic objective of this study is about to hump which has been used this traffic construction. (1) Standard of fundation, design criteria and all kind of condition. (2) After assessment including maintenance problem. 3) The study of driver's thought, considered driver's opinion. (4) Analogy of problem according to the actual conditions etc. We endeavored to find a guide of construct method, suit our actual circumstances on this study.

      • 호산구성 봉와직염의 임상 및 병리 조직학적 분석

        Eosinophilic cellulitis is a rare dermatosis originally described by wells as "reccurent granulomatous dermatitis with eosinophilia", then called Wells' syndrome. Flame figures are considered as a characteristic histologic feature of Wells' syndrome. To clarify the nature of eosinophilic cellulitis and its flame figures, the author has reviesed five cases of eosinophilic cellulitis with its clinical and histopathologic findings. Cutaneous lisions were variable in appearance and was commonly confused with angioedema, urticarial vasculitis, erythema multiforme, morphea or granuloma annulare. Microscopically, early lesions (2-7days) showed diffuse dermal eosinophilic infiltration with widespread degranulation, sometimes extended into the underlying muscle. Subepidermal bulla was present in one case. Subsequently, granulomatous features with charcteristic "flame figures" became apparent (several months). Collagen alteration by eosinophilic granules resulted in flame figure formation and a granulomatous response. In two patients, there were possible relationships between drug and flare-ups of eosinophilic cellulitis, but the others, no contributary precipitating factors were found. We think that eosinophilic cellulitis represents a severe anaphylactic hypersensitivity reaction to various stimuli showing characteristic histopathology with recurrent episodes and frequent hypereosinophilia in the peripheral blood.

      • 경부 림프절 및 비강의 양성 림프조직에서 Epstein-Barr Virus 유전자의 검출

        Recent studies have suggested that nasal NK/T cell lymphoma have strong association with Epstein-Barr virus(EBV). This study was performed to determine whether the association of EBV with NK/T cell lyphomas was ascribed to the immunophenotype and location or not. A sensitive in situ hybridization technique was used to detect EBV encoded RNA (EBER) in paraffin sections from 38 benign lymph nodes, 10 nasal mucosa and 12 adenoids and tonsils. Among 60 cases, 7(11.7%) were EBER-positive and their distribution was lymph node in 6 cases, adenoid in 1 case but none in the nasal cavity. Double in situ hybridization and immunhistochemistry revealed EBER-positive lymphocytes were B-lineage in 4 cases and T-lineage in 2 case. In one case, determination of lineage was failed. From these results, we concluded that high association between nasal NK/T cell lymphomas with EBV might not be simply ascribed to location or immunophenotype of the lymphoma.

      • UV/TiO₂ 광촉매산화 복합공정을 이용한 악취 및 VOCs 제거를 위한 장치 개발 연구

        We have developed UV/TiO₂ photocatalytic oxidation combined process to control odor and VOCs in industrial applications. Three types of individual processes are introduced to test of their ability to increase treatment efficiency. Odor and VOC gases such as ammonia, hydrogen sulfide, formaldehyde and toluene are used for target gas. UV/TiO₂ photocatalytic oxidation combined process with activated carbon was excellent among the three types processes without relation to gas species. It will promise that this new type UV/TiO₂ photocatalytic oxidation combined process can apply industrial applications to remove odorous gases from the emission source. 본 연구에서는 대표적인 악취물질과 VOCs 의 처리 를 목적으로 UV 광촉매산화 복합공정을 이용하여 암모니아와 황화수소 그리고 포름알데히드와 툴루엔의 제거율을 높임으로써 산업공정 등에서 UV 광촉매산화 복합공정의 적용가능성을 검토하였다. 현단계까지는 악취물질의 각 물질별로 전환효율은 낮으나, 본 연구에서 제작된 UV 광촉매산화 복합공정은 악취 물질과 VOCs가 많이 발생되는 산업현장내 근무자로부터 악취물질과 VOCs등 각종 대기오염물질 저감을 위한 장치로서 실용화 가능성을 기대할 수 있다.

      • 말티즈견에서 발생한 승모판폐쇄부전 1례

        A 10 years old, intact male, Maltese dog with clinical signs of labored respiration, exercise intolerance and increasing of coughing was referred to the Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital of Chungnam National University. Physical examination revealed tachycardia, panting and mild cyanosis. This case was diagnosed as mitral valve insufficiency by clinical signs, ascultation, blood chemistry, radiography and electrocardiography. This dog was treated with ACE inhibitor (enalapril), diuretics (furosemide) and bronchodilator (aminophylline) for 14 days. After treatment, clnical signs were disappeared and also this dog was needed to be continuous monitoring and sodium restricted diet.

        A two years old intact female Minature Schnauzer was referred to the Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital of Chungnam National University with an intermittent seizure by traffic accident. No specific finding was found by radiography and computer tomography (CT). Hematologic and blood chemical examination revealed that PCV (62.5%), BUN (72.6 mg/dl), CK (1769 U/l), ALT (169 U/l) and ALP (353 U/l) were increased. This dog was recovered by medical treatment.

      • Paraquat 투여 백서에서 Cyclophosphamide와 Dexamethasone의 치료 효과

        Paraquat (N,N'-dimethy 1-4,4'bipyrydinium : Gramoxone^(R), a widely used herbicide, is extremely toxic to all green plants and many eukaryotic organisms. In human, paraquat intoxication leads to multiple organ failure, it preferentially damages the lung, kidney and liver and may result in death. The participation of superoxide in initiating tissue damage by administration of paraquat is well known in which one electron reduction of paraquat leads to the formation of radical species which react with molecular oxygen to give superoxide. This process initiates immunological changes with the activation of neutrophilic leukocytes, which is related to further production of superoxide. In this experiment, therapeutic effects of cyclophosphamide and dexamethasone on blood cell count, malondialdehyde as a indicator of lipid peroxidation, and antioxidant enzymes levels in the lung, liver and kidney of paraquat intoxicated rats were inbestigated. The WBC count were significantly decreased by combined treatment of cyclophosphamide and dexamethasone in paraquat intoxicated rats at 3 and 5 days but RBC count were not changed. The contents of malondialdehyde were significantly decreased in the lung and Kidney by combined treatment at 10 days after paraquat intoxication. The catalase acitvities were markedly increased in the lung and liver of rats at 10 days after paraquat intoxication, and superoxide dismutase activities showed minimal changes in the lung, liver and kidney of rats by combined treatment. These results suggest that paraquat induced tissue damage in rats can be redeced by combined administration of cyclophosphamide and dexamethasone.
