        Walter Byers, the NCAA Executive Director from 1951 to 1987, coined the term 'student-athlete' in 1973. This phrase has since become widely recognized on college campuses and within society, and implies dual and separate role of being both a student and an athlete. As the term implies, these individuals attend college for two main reason: to make progress towards a college degree and to participate in intercollegiate athletics. The purpose of this study was to investigate factors influencing role conflict on personal attributes, athletic performance and role salience among collegiate student-athletes. The sample was drawn from 821 student-athletes who involved in intercollegiate athletics at the university located in Seoul and Kyunggido and enrolled in Korea Sports Council. They were selected by the method of stratified cluster random sampling. A survey was undertaken from 2003, using the self-administration method. All of questionnaires were personally delivered to the respondents, who immediately filled them out. t-test, one-way ANOVA, multiple regression were used to test and analysis the proposed model in the study. The findings of this study were as follow: 1. Female athletes shows greater cognitive and empirical status role conflict and load conflict, cognitive self role conflict, and empirical student-athlete role conflict than male athletes, three years athletes shows greater cognitive and empirical student-athlete role conflict than any other years athletes, and athletes with high level of life shows cognitive self role conflict and empirical student-athlete role conflict than any other athletes with love of life. 2. Athletic success influence cognitive self role conflict, and playing career has effect on empirical student-athlete role conflict. 3. Relative knowledge related in role of student and athlete has effect on all of cognitive and empirical role conflict, relative time spent in role of student and athlete has effect on cognitive status role conflict, cognitive and empirical load role conflict, and empirical student-athlete role conflict. And relative values of role of student and athlete has effect on cognitive and empirical status role conflict, cognitive and empirical load role conflict, empirical self role conflict and empirical student-athlete role conflict, and relative devotion in role of student and athlete has effect on cognitive self role conflict. status role conflict, load role conflict, and student-athlete role conflict, And satisfaction with student role has effects on cognitive self role conflict, and empirical status role conflict and load role conflict.

        This study was performed to investigate the status of using personal computer(PC) and to develope strategy to improve PC utilization of Cactus Farmers. Sixty nine farmers are surveyed to collect data. Many farmers had intention to use PC to manage Cactus and have recognized that PC is required to manage farm and to improve their life quality. As a result of analysis on farmers' need for agricultural information, they highly demanded infor-mation on production skills, marketing information, overseas production trends, imports and exports information. Some farmers using or having intention to use software for Cactus farming want software to be developed and dis-tributed to support production technolog', labor management production cost and benefit analysis etc.

        Cu-6Ni-4Sn 합금에서 Cr 첨가에 따른 전기화학적 특성에 관한 연구

        Corrosion characteristics of Cu-6%Ni-4%Sn-x%Cr alloys in a acid-chloride solution (0.1M H₂SO₄+ 0.0056M NaCl) at pH = 6, were studied as a function of chromium addition. Three kinds of Cu-6%Ni-4%Sn-x%Cr alloys were prepared by melting, and casting, followed by thermomechanical treatments. The corrosion behavior of Cu-6%Ni-4%Sn-x%Cr alloys was investigated by electrochemical corrosion tests (potentiodynamic polarization test, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy) and surface analyses (optical microscopy, electron probe micro analysis, scanning electron microscopy). Cr additions were found to prevent the localized corrosion behavior. This is the reason that the small addition of Cr promoted the decomposition behaviors of the supersaturated solid solution a in Cu-6%Ni-4%Sn alloy, i.e., the number of like-Sn-rich carbide impurities (LCI), which increased the galvanic effect between the matrix and the LCI, decreased with increasing the Cr addition.         플라즈마 산화 처리된 65/35황동의 산소 분압별 부식특성에 관한 연구

        Brasses are the most widely used copper-based alloys because of the good corrosion resistance, formability, high strength and excellent hot-working properties. However, dezincification occurs when one or more components of an alloy are more susceptible to corrosion than the rest and, as a result, are preferentially dissolved. In order to enhance the corrosion resistance, the oxide film was deposited on the 65/35 brass by pulsed dc plasma oxidation with various pressure. The corrosion behavior of plasma oxidized brasses with various oxygen pressure was investigated by electrochemical methods (potentiodynamic polarization test, potentiostatic test, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy) and surface analyses (x-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, auger electron spectroscopy, electron probe micro analyzer). Particular attention was paid to the effects of oxygen pressure and oxide thickness on the coating properties related to the corrosion behavior. From the results of electrochemical test, it was found that the oxidized brass under condition of 1.5 Torr oxygen pressure was effective in improving corrosion resistance. It was attributed to the protective oxidized layer (ZnO). Finally, an optimized oxidation condition for corrosion protection was found to be 1.5 Torr oxygen pressure and 1 pun thickness.         플라이 애쉬가 콘크리트 구조물의 철근 부식에 미치는 영향

        Addition of fly ash has beneficial effects on some mechanical properties of concrete, as well as the corrosion process induced by the chloride ion. The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of fly ash on the steel corrosion in concrete with various water-to-binder ratios. The corrosion process of steel bars embedded in concrete without fly ash and with 20% fly ash was tested under complete immersion, in 3.5 wt.% NaCl solution. Monitoring of open-circuit potential and linear polarization method and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy(EIS) were used to follow the corrosion process. Also, ASTM C1202 test method was used to estimate the concrete's resistivity of chloride penetration in concrete. The results obtained from electrochemical tests show that the use of fly ash has led to the improvement of corrosion resistance. Partial cement replacement by fly ash caused significant pore refinement, reduced permeability to chloride ions, and increased corrosion resistance.

        전기화학적 방법을 이용한 수소제거에 관한 연구

        Hydrogen embrittlement (HE) mitigation on the low alloy steel was studied using electrochemical technique. This method can be applied to reduce HE susceptibility. Hydrogen induced cracking (HIC) characteristics of the low alloy steel was investigated in aerated and deaerated borate buffer solution (0.3M H₃BO₃ + 0.074M N₂B_(4)O_(7), pH 8.4). The electrochemical properties of the low alloy steel showed passive behavior in this environment. By performing galvanostatic and potentiostatic test, hydrogen was charged and discharged to specimens respectively. By applying the potential of +630 mV_(SCE), the accumulated hydrogen was eliminated electrochemically. A specimen discharged for 24h indicated the efficiency of the hydrogen discharge up to 99.9%. Slow strain rate tests (SSRT) results showed that a specimen with higher hydrogen concentration revealed inferior mechanical properties such as shorter time to fracture, lower elongation, ultimate tensile strength and yield strength values. Furthermore, SEM fractographs revealed that the higher the hydrogen concentration is, the more probable the features of brittle fracture are. (Received July 26, 2004)

        PECVD법으로 증착된 전자소자용 thiophene 박막의 전기화학적 신뢰성에 관한 연구

        The corrosion failure of electronic devices has been a major reliability concern lately. This failure is an ongoing concern because of miniaturization of integrated circuits(IC) and the increased use of polymers in electronic packaging. In this paper plasma-polymerized thiophene films were considered as a possible candidate for an interlayer dielectric for multilever metallization of ultra large scale integrated (ULSI) semiconductor devices. The protective ability of above films as a function RF power in an 3.5 wt.% NaCl solution was examined by electrochemical methods and contact angle measurement. The protective efficiency of the film increased with increasing RF power, which induced the higher degree of cross-linking and hydrophobicity of the films.

        혈관과증식을 동반한 구개부 선방세포암의 치험례

        Vascular lesions of the oral and maxillofacial area is interesting to clinicians because it is difficult in management and has poor prognosis. There have been attempt to classify vascular lesion and recently new classification is introduced that have two basic entities, 1) hemangioma, 2) vascular malformation. It is useful that evaluation of lesion, treatment planning and predicting on prognosis. But vascular lesion is still difficult to clinicians about treatment. A case of acidic cell carcinoma combined with hypervascularity arising on the hard palate in a 28-year-old woman is reported. We mistook it for vascular lesion because of hypervascularity. The clinical and histologic feature are described. Literatures about neovascularization of tumor & acidic cell carcinoma are reviewd, too. And we attempt to solve the problem of hypervascularity.
