장문주,이대희,김현덕,전영미,김정기 大韓齒科器材學會 2001 대한치과재료학회지 Vol.28 No.4

The purpose of this study was to compare the shear bond strength and failure type of various adhesives in indirect bonding technique. Five types of orthodontic bonding adhesives - ES(Excel sealant), EP(Excel paste), EA(sealant and past), T(Transbond XT sealant), L(Light bond sealant) - were used in this study. Metal bars(70×7×7㎜) were milled and sand-blasted with 50㎛ alumina and then coated with resin. resin blocks(3×4×5㎜) were made and bonded to the resin-coated metal bars with various adhesives. Shear bond strengths were measured by an universal testing machine. The film thickness, interface region. Self-curing resin, EX(Excel sealant) showed the greatest shear bond strength(22.82±3.05 ㎫) and self-curing resin, EP(Excel paste) showed the lowest shear bond strength(13.91±2.70 ㎫). The shear bond strength of self-curing resin, EA(sealant and past : 20.94±0.92 ㎫) was similar to those of light-curing resins, T(Transbond XT sealant : 20.90±2.34 ㎫), L(Light bond sealant : 18.12±1.63 ㎫) group. Most of the failure occurred between the resin coated metal bars and sealant regardless of the adhesives.

Since the Apple's iPhone was released in Korea, many users use any smartphone. Since smartphones launch in Korea, many users change the previous feature phone to smartphone, and its users continue to increase. One of the advantages of smart phones is that user can install a wanted application like the computer, so the demand of applications has been increasing gradually. We are intended to study the development of smartphone application with location information by GPS. Instead of making the result of current location information by informing current position to users or approved third parties by them, we process their information which needs to be used internally them. And we study the application which changes the status of smartphone automatically by position information.

        金學秀,文賢珠 호남대학교 2000 호남대학교 학술논문집 Vol.21 No.2

In the Simply Supported Skew Slab Bridge analysis, "The Highway Bridge Standard Specifications of Korea" dose not prescribe exactly a variable of edge supported condition, skew angle and loading condition etc. Therefore, the present standing rules of "The Highway Bridge Standard Specification of Korea" is expected to overestimate the maximum design bending moment of the skew slab bridge. Also, a study on the effective modeling method needs consideration of moment value difference according to modeling method. In this paper, the simply supported skew slabs are analyzed by using finite element program, SAP 90, and the results are compared with those from "The Highway Bridge Standard Specifications of Korea". Modeling method using Shell element is considered as parallelogram mesh, mesh orthogonal to support, mesh orthogonal to span. The moment values from the modelling are compared with the results researched by Nielsen. So this study suggested a proper modeling method and considered the effect of skew angle and ratio of slab length to slab with on moment values using shell and grillage element.

The purpose of this research is in comparing the goods which have been producing in severalcompany and judging them, and examing how much intrested are the consumers in the labels whichgive us informations. In order to certify them we've investigated the degree of confirmation, confidence, utilization andrecognition of the consumers about the labels. The questionnair method was used to obtained the data which was mad by a result of self-adminis-ted questionnair. A size of random sample for this research was 125 subjects. The results are as follows ; 1) Most of the consumers confirm the labels. 2) The degree of the consumers' recognition about the necessity of the labels is nearly correspondwith the utilization of it. 3) The consumers' confidence about the label of ready-made clothes in the open market is relatively low. That's because they(the labels in the open market) are usually incorrect yet and couldn't giveus enough informations.

2005 The Medical Journal of Chosun University Vol.30 No.2

Background and Objectives: Maternal alcohol abuse is considered to be one of the most prominent cause of neurobiological malformations in the postnatal and adult life of the offspring. In this study, we investigated the effects of maternal alcohol drinking on the postnatal development of NPY-containing neuron, and, the influence of thyroxine treatment on the cerebral cortex and hippocampus of pups of alcohol abused mother. Materials and Method: Time-pregnant rats were divided into three groups. Alcohol-fed group A received 35 calories of liquid alcohol diet daily from gestation day 6; control pair-fed group B was fed a liquid diet in dextrin replaced alcohol isocalorically: alcohol + T4 group C received 35 calories liquid alcohol diet and exogenous thyroxine subcutaneously. Results: Group C showed prominent NPY immunoreactivity in the cerebral cortex compared to group A and B at P7. In group C, NPY-containing neurons were widely distributed in the all layers of cerebral cortex after P14. Besides, numerical decrease of NPY-containing neuron as age increases was not found in group C. However, the decrease of NPY-containing neuron was clearly observed in group A compared to group C after P14. In hippocampus, group Band C were appeared similar patterns after P7. Additionally, in group C, NPY immunoreactivity was prominently appeared in CA2 and CA3 at P14 as compared to group B. Conclusions: The present results showed the increase of intensity and number of NPY-containing neurons in cerebral cortex and hippocampus of pups of exogenous T₄ supplemented alcohol-exposed dams as compared to control pair-fed and alcohol-exposed pups at P7. It presumably suggest that NPY-containing neurons might be regulated by the early postnatal growth stimulatory effect of the exogenously supplemented T₄. Therefore, the increase of NPY synthesis caused by maternal administration of exogenous thyroxine may ameliorate fetal alcohol effect, one of the ill effects as a result of the dysthyroid state following maternal alcohol abuse.

Immunohistochemical study of the distribution of sodium-dependent vitamin C transporters in adult rat brain

Mun, Ga Hee,Kim, Myeung Ju,Lee, Ju Hyun,Kim, Hyun Jun,Chung, Yoon Hee,Chung, Young Bae,Kang, Jae Seung,Hwang, Young Il,Oh, Seung Ha,Kim, Joong-Gon,Hwang, Douk Ho,Shin, Dong Hoon,Lee, Wang Jae Wiley Subscription Services, Inc., A Wiley Company 2006 Journal of neuroscience research Vol.83 No.5

Sodium-dependent vitamin C transporters (SVCTs) is known to transport the reduced form of ascorbic acid into the cell, whereas the oxidized form of vitamin C (VC) is moved through a facilitative sugar transporter, such as glucose transporter (GLUT). With regard to the distribution of SVCT1 and -2 within the various organs, they were reported to be expressed in different types of cells. Especially in the central nervous system, only SVCT2 mRNA was expressed mainly in neurons and some types of neuroglial cells. However, data on the expression of SVCT proteins in the brain are scant. Therefore, we tried to develop comprehensive data on the distribution of SVCT proteins in adult rat brain by using immunohistochemical techniques for the first time. In our study, SVCT2 immunoreactivities (IRs) were intensely localized in the neurons of cerebral cortex, hippocampus, and Purkinje cells of cerebellum, and much weaker SVCT2 IRs were found in the other brain regions. Judging from double-immunohistochemical data, most of the cells expressing SVCT2 IRs were likely to be neurons or microglia, even though the cells in choroids plexus or ependymal cells around the ventricles also exhibited SVCT2 IRs. Complete mapping of the distribution of SVCT2 IRs was available by using a semiquantitative method. The subcellular localization of SVCT proteins is necessary for understanding the exact role of the protein, so the current overall mapping of SVCT IRs in the rat brain could be the basis for further studies on related subjects. © 2006 Wiley-Liss, Inc.

      • Displacement ductility ratio-based flexural design approach of reinforced concrete slender shear walls

Mun, Ju-Hyun,Yang, Keun-Hyeok Thomas Telford Ltd. 2016 Magazine of concrete research Vol.68 No.8

This study established a new flexural design approach for reinforced concrete shear walls based on the displacement ductility ratio. The moment-curvature relationship of a shear wall section was generalised by interpolating the points of yielding, ultimate flexural capacity and 80% of ultimate flexural capacity after the peak point. To estimate the curvature of the shear walls at the post-peak branch, the concrete strain at the extreme fibre was calculated by considering the volumetric index of the lateral reinforcement and the concrete stress reduction factor derived from the stress-strain relationship of confined concrete. The calculated curvature points were converted to lateral displacements using the moment area method associated with the equivalent plastic hinge length. To simply evaluate the displacement ductility ratio of shear walls, an extensive parametric study was conducted in accordance with the above procedure. The proposed moment-curvature relationship and displacement ductility ratio equation for shear walls were verified through comparisons with experimental results compiled from the available literature. Ultimately, the proposed models were applied to the development of a flexural design of shear walls and a design diagram to determine the details of boundary element length for a targeted ductility ratio.

      • Whole transcriptome analysis during early symbiotic signaling in Medicago truncatula

        Hyun-Ju Hwang,Sang Cheol Kim,Mijin Oh,Sin-Gi Park,Hee-Ju Yu,Brendan Riely,Douglas Cook,Jeong-Hwan Mun,Gang-Seob Lee 한국육종학회 2013 한국육종학회 심포지엄 Vol.2013 No.07

Legume and rhizobia symbiosis plays an important role in conversion of atmospheric dinitrogen to ammonia. On a global scale, thin interaction represent a key entry point for reduced nitrogen into the biosphere, and as a consequence this symbiosis in important in both natural and agricultural systems. Symbiotic development of nodule organ in triggered by chito-oligosaccharide signals(Nod factors) from the bacterium which are perceived by the legume root. Understanding the molecular and cellular processes that underlie Nod factor perception is one focus of legume biology. Although forward genetics has proved to be an important tool to elucidate key players in Nod factor perception, we still know relatively little regarding the functional networks of genes and proteins that connect the earliest steps of Nod factor perception to immediate downstream outcomes. To identify genes and proteins that link Nod factor perception to cellular and physiological responses we are taking a discovery-based strategy on large-scale transcriptome profiling using RNA sequencing in the roots of Medicago truncatula in response to Sinorhizobium meliloti. Functional characterization of a number of candidate genes is currently in progress to further examine their role in nodulation.
