        The purpose of this study was to examine the subjective evaluation of texture images and preferences for cotton and cotton/mulberry blended fabrics in order to suggest the fabric planning for environment-friendly fashion products. Fifty male and female university students evaluated the texture images and preferences of cotton and cotton/mulberry blended fabrics dyed with natural indigo dye. For statistical analysis, frequency, mean, factor analysis, t-test, F-test and Pearson correlation. The results were as follows: The texture images of cotton and cotton/mulberry blended fabrics were classified into 4 factors: 'stiffness', 'elasticity', 'weight', and 'smoothness'. They evaluated significant differences according to the fiber content in the texture images for the fabrics. Also, there were partially significant differences by the gender in the texture images for the fabrics. Female students were more sensitive than males for the 'stiffness' and 'elasticity' factor. They were more preferred cotton fabrics than cotton/mulberry blended fabrics in terms of tactile and purchase preferences. The preferences of tactile were no different according to the gender, but there was significant difference according to the gender in terms of purchase preference.

        치아 우식증의 조기 진단을 위한 QLF-D 개발

        QLF-D system composed with DSLR(digital single-lens reflex) camera, and the images of natural enamel caries and artificial caries was developed from 2 days to 14 days captured by QLF-D system. The correlation between lesion depth of the polarized microscope and luminosity ratio of QLF-D image was analyzed and the results were summarized as follows: 1. The Pearson correlation value between the lesion depth of polarized microscope images and luminosity ratio of QLF-D images was 0.969(p<0.01). 2. From Regression analysis of lesion depth from polarized image by demineralized period, the equation was y = 8.67x - 1.16(p<0.05). 3. From Regression analysis of luminosity ratio from QLF-D image by demineralized period, the equation was y = 3.53x + 6.42(p<0.05). From the results, QLF-D system can detect the enamel caries at the very early stage and can monitor the progression of demineralization and remineralization. For the convenient use of QLF-D system in the laboratory, the image analysing software was needed to analyze of interest site of enamel caries lesion. 저자는 DSLR(digital single-lens reflex) 카메라를 이용한 QLF-D 시스템을 고안하여, 사람의 유구치에 자연 발생된 법 랑질 초기 우식증을 관찰하고, 유구치 법랑질 시편을 대상으로 2일부터 14일까지 인공 탈회시킨 후 탈회 기간에 따른 상관관 계를 편광 현미경 소견과 비교 분석한 결과 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 1. 탈회 기간에 따른 편광 현미경 상의 병소 깊이와 QLF-D 영상의 광밀도 값 비율 간의 피어슨 상관 계수는 0.969였다 (p<0.01). 2. 편광현미경에서 측정된 병소 깊이의 탈회 기간에 대한 회귀분석 결과 y=8.67x-1.16의 회귀 방정식이 산출되었다 (p<0.05). 3. QLF-D 영상에서 측정된 광도값 비율의 탈회 기간에 대한 회귀분석 결과 y=3.53x+6.42의 회귀 방정식이 산출되었다 (p<0.05).

      • 트리암시놀론아세토나이드 함유 구강점막 필름제의 제제설계 및 평가

        To design and evaluate the double-layered mucoadhesive film preparation for the treatment of aphthous stomatitis, the film consisting of an adhesive layer containing triamcinolone acetonide and impermeable protective layer was prepared by a solvent-casting evaporation technique and subsequent drying. The polymers, Polycarbophil®, Carbopol®, CMC and gelatin, swell appoximately 2 times its volume in 30 minutes when added to water. In vitro adhesive time was longer than 8hrs and adhesive force was 177-482g/㎤. The diffusion rate of triamcinolone acetonide from film was faster than that of commercial tablet but slower than that of the film. the effect of plasticizer on the protective layer showed that the more amount of plasticizer, the greater elongation, the lesser tensile strength. The stability of drug in the film revealed that no significant reduction in the content of triamcinolone acetonide during a period of six months at room temperature and 40℃ 75% RH. Drug deposit amount permeated through hsmster cheek pouch mucosa from film was greater than that of control film and tablet. In human oral mucosa, adhesive time was between 2.38∼2.83hrs. The adhesive feeling to the human muoscal membrane of sample was better than compared with commercial film and tablet.

      • 국부성 또는 침투성 액아억제제에 의한 연초식물의 액아억제

        본 실험에서는 황색종 KF-118을 사용하여 적심 후 발생하는 액아의 생장을 약제처리법을 이용하여 억제하였다. 약제로는 침투성 액아억제제, 접촉성 액아억제제, 국부성 액아억제제 등 세 종류의 약제를 활용하였다. 약제를 처리한 후 액아의 길이, 생장률, 생중량, 건중량 등을 측정하여 액아억제제의 효과를 측정하였다. A, B, C, D, E 총 5가지의 액아억제제를 처리하였으며 무처리구를 포함한 총 6개의 처리구로 나누어 시험하였고, 각 처리구는 적심 직후, 적심 후 액아가 2 cm 이하로 자랐을 때와 4 cm 이하로 자랐을 때로 분류하여 5주씩 3반복으로 처리구당 총 15주를 시험하였다. 실험 결과 무처리구와 처리구는 액아생장에 있어 유의성 있는 차이를 보였으며 처리효과는 적심 직후에 약제를 처리했을 때 가장 높았으며, 다음으로 적심 후 액아가 2 cm 이하로 자랐을 때, 4 cm 이하로 자랐을 때의 차례로 나타났다. 또한 적심 직후 약제를 처리한 경우 A약제를 제외한 모든 액아억제제가 억제율 90 %를 넘는 우수한 결과를 보였다. Suckers were controled by suckercide treatment using a flue-cured tobacco cultivar, KF-118. Three types of suckercides, systemic suckercide, contact suckercide and local suckercide, were used. Length, growth rate, fresh weight and dry weight of sucker were measured after suckercide treatment. Five kinds of suckercides (A, B, C, D, E) were treated directly after topping, when sucker length shorter than 2 cm after topping, and when sucker length shorter than 4 cm after topping. Five plants were treated and three times repeated. The sucker growth rates of treated plant were significantly lower than those of untreated plant. The smaller the sucker size, the higher the treatment effect. All suckercides, except for suckercide A, showed more than 90 % sucker control rate when they were treated directly after topping.

        매복된 상악 전치부의 자가이식 치험례

        The autotransplantation procedure were performed for the cases with impacted maxillary anterior teeth, which were thought unrealistic by the treatment with surgical exposure and orthodontic traction into the arches. The results were as follow : 1. As the treatment with autotransplantation is the last resort, the case indicated should be selected cautiously by adequate case analysis. 2. In order to reduce postoperative complication, damages to periodontal ligaments and adjacent bony structures should be minimized by conservative surgical procedures. 3. After autotransplantation procedures, postoperative endodonic treatment and continuous follow-up check with clinical and radiographic examination should be followed. Although the autotransplantation procedure is not the treatment of choice in most cases, it was thought to be a good alternative in certain cases when orthodontic treatment is unrealistic with continuous study to overcome the handicaps.

        법랑모세포 분화와 법랑질 형성과정에서 OD314, Apin protein의 발현 및 기능

        본 연구에서는 법랑모세포 분화와 법랑질 형성에 연관이 있는 OD314 일명 Apin protein의 기능을 밝힐 목적으로, in-situ hybridization에 의한 OD314 mRNA 발현과 법랑모세포 세포주에서 OD314 enamel matrix protein의 발현, 그리고 OD314 유전자를 과발현/억제시킬 수 있는 construct를 제작한 후 법랑질 형성 중에 OD314의 기능을 알아보고자 RT-PCR를 시행하여 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 1. OD314 mRNA는 발생중인 상아모세포보다 법랑모세포에서 강하게 발현되었다. 2. Tuftelin은 석회화 결정이 형성되는 14일까지 발현이 지속되고, 그 이후부터 점차 감소하였다. Amelogenin과enamelin은 7일부터 그 발현이 점점 감소하였다. 3. U6-OD314 siRNA construct를 이용하여 transfection한 법랑모세포 세포주는 OD314와 tuftelin,MMP2 mRNA 발현이 감소하였으며, CM-OD314를 transfection하여 OD314의 과발현을 유도한 경우에는 OD314와 MMP20 mRNA의 발현이 뚜렷이 증대되었다. 이 결과는 OD314가 법랑모세포의 분화와 법랑질의 형성 그리고 석회화 과정에 중요한 역할을 하는 새로운 인자임을 시사한다. This study was aimed to elucidate the biological function of OD314 (Apin protein), which is related to ameloblast differentiation and amelogenesis. Apin protein, calcifying epithelial odontogenic (pindborg) tumors (CEOTs)-associated amyloid, were isolated from CEOTs, and has similar nucleotide sequences to OD314. We examined expression of the OD314 mRNA using in-situ hybridization during tooth development in mice. Expression of OD314 and several enamel matrix proteins were examined in the cultured ameloblast cell line up to 28 days by reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) amplification. After inactivation and over-expression of the OD314 gene in ameloblast cell lines using U6 vector-driven RNA interference and CMV-OD314 construct, RT-PCR were performed to evaluate the effect of the OD314 during amelogenesis. The results were as follows: 1. In in-situ hybridization, OD314 mRNAs were more strongly expressed in ameloblast than odontoblast. 2. When ameloblast cells were cultured in the differentiation and mineralization medium for 28 days, the tuftelin mRNA expression was maintained from the beginning to day 14, and then gradually decreased to day 28. The expressions of amelogenin and enamelin were gradually decreased according to the ameloblast differentiation. 3. Inactivation of OD314 by U6-OD314 siRNA construct down-regulated the expression of OD314, MMP-20, and tuftelin, whereas over-expression of OD314 by CMV-OD314 construct up-regulated the expression of OD314 and MMP-20 without change in tuftelin. These results suggest that OD314 is considered as an ameloblast-enriched gene and may play the important roles in ameloblast differentiation and mineralization.

      • 수종 식물추출물의 항히스타민작용

        The antihistaminic action of eighteen herbal medicines was investigated by the radioligand binding and functional assays. The hexane fractions of Trichosanthis radix, Mori cortex radicis and Evodiac fructus dose-dependently inhibited [³H]mepyramine binding to H, receptor in guinea-pig brain homogenates and histamine-induced contraction of isolated guinea-pig ileum. Antihistaminic action of the hexane and ethyl acetate fractions of Mori cortex radicis and the hexane fraction of Evodiae fructus was more potent than their antimuscarinic action evaluated from the inhibition of [³H]QNB binding and carbachol response. The ethyl acetate and chloroform fractions from Scutcllariae radix also inhibited histamine-induced contraction, but antihistaminic potencies of these fractions were almost identical with their antimuscarinic potencies. The hexane fractions of Mori cortex radicis and Evodiae fructus inhibited selectively the increase of histamine-induced cutaneous vascular permeability in the rat dorsal skins. However, the ethyl acetate fraction from Scutellariae radix inhibited eqipotently the effects of histamine and serotonin on the vascular permeability. These results demonstrate that the hexane and ethyl acetate fractions of Mori cortex radicis and the hexane fraction of Evodiae fructus have the selective histamine H₁ receptor blocking activity.

        This study was performed to examine the drying characteristics of the potato at various drying conditions. The eqilibrium moisture content was in the range of 0.058-0.207 g/g. The critical moisture content and diffusion coefficient were in the range of 3.151-4.210 g/g, 0.622 × 10 exp (-5)㎝/sec respectively. Comparing with other food stuffs, the activation energy (6.0 ㎉/㏖) of the potato appeared low. The drying curve equation and the drying rate equation were obtained as follows: Y=4.34×e^-0.553t dy/dt= -2.40×e^-0.553t When the initial moisture content of the potato is known, this equation can be used to predict the drying rate of the potato.

        Capsaicin과 Paradol이 구강내 유해자극에 의한 개구반사와 신경흥분 전달에 미치는 영향

        This study was performed to elucidate the analgesic mechanism of paradol and to compare effects of paradol with those of dihidrocapscaicin(DHC). Rabbits(2-2.5kg both sexes) were anesthetized with pentobarbital sodium(30mg/kg I.V.), and cannulated in trachea and external jugular vein. To observe effects on jaw opening reflex, inferior alveolar nerve(IAN) of both sides were exposed for drug application, and wire electrodes were inserted in anterior belly of digastric muscle for recording of EMGs of anterior belly of digastric muscle(dEMG) and in oral mucosa covering mental foramen for applying noxious stimulation. dEMGs evoked by noxious stimulation with double intensity of threshold for digastric EMG were recorded in magnetic tape recorder. To observe effects on action potential, saphenous nerve were exposed, and three tissue pools were made from surrounding tissue. The most distal pool was used for applying stimulation, the most proximal one for recording of action potentials, and the other on for drug application. Action potentials evoked by 200 folds intensity of threshold for most sensitive fiber were recorded in magnetic tape recorder. One side of IAN and saphenous nerves were used for DHC or paradol applications, the other side of nerves for control experiments(only vehicle application). Vehicle consisted of 10% Tween 80, 10% ethanol and 80% physiological saline(v/v), and drugs were solubilized in vehicle for 1.5% concentration(w/v). dEMGs and action potentials were recorded before drug application, immediate after 30 minutes drug application, at 30 and 60 minutes after drug had been washed out. DHC application on IAN could not influence on dEMG, but paradol application decreased the amplitude of dEMG. In action potential experiments, DHC decreased amplitude and conduction velocity of only C fiber, while paradol did those of C-fiber and Aδ-fiber.
