A Novel Semi-inserted Dual-stator Low-speed High-torque Permanent Magnet Drive Motor

Low-speed high-torque permanent magnet direct drive machine (LSPMDM) overcomes the shortcomings of traditional drive system, but its volume is large. In this paper, the numerical relationship between the motor external diameter and the rated speed is deduced, and improvement of the torque density is qualitatively analyzed for a dual-stator motor. Owing to that semi-inserted magnetic circuit structure and auxiliary slots under the poles can further increase the torque density of the motor, the effect of the shape, number and position of the auxiliary slots on the salient pole rate is also studied through comparative analysis. By incorporating the merits of dual-stator motor and semi-inserted magnetic circuit structure with the auxiliary slots, a novel motor topology is proposed, which is verified by finite element analysis with good performance.

In this work, the temperature-induced structural evolution in 0.79(Na0.5Bi0.5)TiO3-0.2(K0.5Bi0.5)TiO3- 0.01(K0.5Na0.5)NbO3 (NKBNT) lead-free ceramics was investigated by Raman microscopic spectroscopy combined with electrical macroscopic measurements. The NKBNT ceramics possess the local structure with the coexisted rhombohedral R3c and tetragonal P4bm polar-nano-regions (PNRs). The R3c and P4bm PNRs coexist in a wide temperature range, then the local structure transforms to the P4bm PNRs around the temperature of dielectric maximum (Tm) evidenced by the doublet splitting of Ti-O modes (peak B) and oxygen octahedral vibrational modes (peak C). The discontinuous changes of wavenumber and linewidth of peak B2 and peak C3 as well as the dielectric local maxima around the rhombohedral-tetragonal phase transition temperature (TRT) are considered to result from the thermal evolution of R3c and P4bm PNRs. The macroscopic changes of non-polar phase with electric field and temperature were investigated by the temperature-dependent polarization-electric field (P-E) loops, current-electric field (I-E) loops and bipolar strain (S-E) curves. The electric-field level necessary to form the long-range ferroelectric order from non-polar phase associated with the stability of the induced ferroelectric phase depends strongly on the temperature.

A novel mannose-binding tuber lectin with in vitro antiproliferative activity towards human cancer cell lines and antiviral activity against HSV-II was isolated from fresh tubers of a traditional Chinese medicinal herb, Typhonium divaricatum (L.) Decne by a combined procedure involving extraction, ammonium sulfate precipitation, ion exchange chromatography on DEAE-SEPHAROSE, CM-SEPHAROSE and gel-filtration on sephacryl S-200. The apparent molecular mass of the purified Typhonium divaricatum lectin (TDL) was 48 kDa. TDL exhibits hemagglutinating activity toward rabbit erythrocytes at 0.95 $\mu$g/ml, and its activity could be strongly inhibited by mannan, ovomucoid, asialofetuin and thyroglobulin. TDL showed antiproliferative activity towards some well established human cancer cell lines, e.g. Pro-01 (56.7 $\pm$ 6.8), Bre-04 (41.5 $\pm$ 4.8), and Lu-04 (11.4 $\pm$ 0.3). The anti-HSV-II activity of TDL was elucidated by testing its HSV-II infection inhibitory activity in Vero cells with $TC_50$ and $EC_50$ of 5.176 mg/ml and 3.054 $\mu$g/ml respectively. The full-length cDNA sequence of TDL was 1145 bp and contained an 813-bp open reading frame (ORF) encoding a 271 amino acid precursor of 29-kDa. Homology analysis showed that TDL had high homology with many other mannose-binding lectins. Secondary and three-dimensional structures analyses showed that TDL is heterotetramer and similar with lectins from mannose-binding lectin superfamily, especially those from family Araceae.

Termites are destructive to agriculture, forestry, and buildings, but they can also promote agro-ecosystem balance through the degradation of lignocellulose. Termite-triggered cellulose digestion may be clarified through microbial metabolism of cellulose products. In the present study, we characterized the activities of cellulase and its three components synthesized by the cellulase-producing fungal strain HDZK-BYTF620 isolated from the gut of Odontotermes formosanus. The protein components of cellulases were synthesized by strain HDZK-BYTF620, which were isolated and characterized using polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis, and the expression of the cellulases was studied at the proteome level.
Animal Fur Recognition Algorithm Based on Feature Fusion Network

China is a big country in animal fur industry. The total production and consumption of fur are increasing year by year. However, the recognition of fur in the fur production process still mainly relies on the visual identification of skilled workers, and the stability and consistency of products cannot be guaranteed. In response to this problem, this paper proposes a feature fusion-based animal fur recognition network on the basis of typical convolutional neural network structure, relying on rapidly developing deep learning techniques. This network superimposes texture feature - the most prominent feature of fur image - into the channel dimension of input image. The output feature map of the first layer convolution is inverted to obtain the inverted feature map and concat it into the original output feature map, then Leaky ReLU is used for activation, which makes full use of the texture information of fur image and the inverted feature information. Experimental results show that the algorithm improves the recognition accuracy by 9.08% on Fur_Recognition dataset and 6.41% on CIFAR-10 dataset. The algorithm in this paper can change the current situation that fur recognition relies on manual visual method to classify, and can lay foundation for improving the efficiency of fur production technology.
Experimental Study on the Diffusion Law of Horizontal Grouting in Shallow Sand Gravel Layer

Common problems in horizontal grouting engineering projects that it is difficult to evaluate thegrouting slurry diffusion range due to theoretical limitations. Here we report a novelexperimental design that investigates the influence of grouting parameters (grouting time,pressure, slurry water-cement ratio) and permeability coefficient on grouting slurry diffusion inorder to determine the diffusion law of horizontal grouting in shallow sand gravel layer. Theresults indicate that grouting pressure is sensitive to the most significant impact on the slurrydiffusion radius, and the following rank is grouting time > slurry water-cement ratio >permeability coefficient of the stratum. Next, discrete element software was employed forsingle-factor analysis. Finally, a numerical model of shield tunnel settlement was developed toevaluate the impact of grouting reinforcement on ground settlement. The findings reveal thatthe slurry diffusion exhibits a non-standard columnar shape with horizontal symmetry, whilethe permeability coefficient of the sand and gravel influences vertical diffusion.
Biocompatible Gradient Chitosan Fibers with Controllable Swelling and Antibacterial Properties

This study developed a partially water-soluble carboxymethyl chitosan (PWCS) fibers by ethanol-waterexhaustion method. Sodium carboxylate was successfully introduced into chitosan fibers, as evidenced by FTIR, whichenhanced natural chitosan water solubility. SEM-EDS revealed that the sodium carboxylate groups presented in a gradientdistribution from the exterior to the interior of the PWCS fibers, which leads to a controllable swelling performance. Moreover, the PWCS fibers had excellent antibacterial ability against S. aureus and E. coli bacteria comparing with origin CSfibers. The cytotoxicity assay (CCK-8) and fluorescence staining confirmed that all developed samples showed non-toxicitytowards MRC-5 and exhibited a surprising promoting effect on cell proliferation, corroborating their biocompatibility. Besides, due to its excellent controllable water selling ability and protonated amine groups, the PWCS fibers possessed anefficient hemostatic performance. In conclusion, PWCS fibers could become a promising material in hemostatic and woundhealing applications.
A New Result on the Stability and Convergence of Self-tuning Adaptive Control

Among various types of self-tuning control schemes, only one-step-ahead self-tuning control of deterministic plant and minimum variance self-tuning control of stochastic plant can guarantee the stability and convergence of closed-loop system without requiring the convergence of parameter estimation. This paper presents a new result that the convergence of parameter estimates is not necessary for the stability and convergence of a general self-tuning control system comprising of any admissible control strategy and any admissible parameter estimation algorithm. This breakthrough result is owing to the adoption of a new type of virtual equivalent system: slow switching control system, whose stability and tracking performance are guaranteed under mild conditions.
Multi-level Scheduling Algorithm Based on Storm

Hybrid deployment under current cloud data centers is a combination of online and offline services, which improves the utilization of the cluster resources. However, the performance of the cluster is often affected by the online services in the hybrid deployment environment. To improve the response time of online service (e.g. search engine), an effective scheduling algorithm based on Storm is proposed. At the component level, the algorithm dispatches the component with more influence to the optimal performance node. Inside the component, a reasonable resource allocation strategy is used. By searching the compressed index first and then filtering the complete index, the execution speed of the component is improved with similar accuracy. Experiments show that our algorithm can guarantee search accuracy of 95.94%, while increasing the response speed by 68.03%.
