Restricted curvature model on a tetrahedral fractal substrate
Kim Jin Min,Lee Jae Hwan,Yun Jinhyuk,Kwak Wooseop 한국물리학회 2023 THE JOURNAL OF THE KOREAN PHYSICAL SOCIETY Vol.82 No.7
We studied the restricted curvature model on a Sierpinski tetrahedral substrate under the restriction of the surface curvature. The interface width W grows as tβ at the beginning and becomes saturated as Lα eventually for Lz ≪ t on a fnite system of a lateral size L. We obtained β = 0.307(9), α = 1.64(8), and z ≈ 5.34, and these values are in good agreement with the powercounting predictions from a fractional Langevin equation, β = 1/2 − df ∕4zrw, α = zrw − df ∕2, and z = 2zrw, where df = 2 and zrw ≈ 2.58 are the fractal dimension of the Sierpinski tetrahedral substrate and the random walk exponent of the substrate, respectively. The relationship of the equilibrium restricted curvature model and the conserved restricted solid-on-solid model on fractal substrates is also discussed.

In wireless sensor networks, a fault-tolerant scheme that detects the failure of sensor nodes and improves the reliability of collected information must be considered. Resource-constraint sensor nodes expose vulnerability and cannot use existing checkpointing schemes that do not consider a feature of sensor networks. In this paper, we propose a fault-tolerant scheme for clustering routing protocols that support the recovery of a head node.
Sulfuretin, a natural Src family kinases inhibitor for suppressing solar UV-induced skin aging
Han, Ahram,Lee, Jinhyuk,Lee, Myung-hee,Lee, Sung-Young,Shin, Eun Ju,Song, Young-Ran,Lee, Kwang Min,Lee, Ki Won,Lim, Tae-Gyu Elsevier 2019 Journal of Functional Foods Vol.52 No.-
<P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>This study suggests sulfuretin as an ant-skin aging agent. Sulfuretin significantly reduces solar UV (sUV)-increased matrix metalloproteinase-1 (MMP-1) expression and c-Jun phosphorylation in human dermal fibroblasts as well as skin tissue. An examination of the underlying mechanisms showed that sUV-activated MAPK signaling pathways are blocked by sulfuretin. Interestingly, sulfuretin directly inhibits the kinase activity of selected Src family. Because the amino acid sequence of Hck kinase which used kinase array is 230–497, it was assumed that sulfuretin interacts with this conserved domain of Src family kinase. It was also found that sulfuretin directly binds to sulfuretin with the lowest binding energy of −8.9 kcal/mol and free energy of −10.07 kcal/mol. Additionally, Hck protein was precipitated with sulfuretin-conjugated Sepharose 4B beads in HDFs cell lysate. Overall, present findings indicated that sulfuretin plays the role of anti-skin aging agent by acting as a general Src family kinase inhibitor in human skin.</P> <P><B>Highlights</B></P> <P> <UL> <LI> The anti-wrinkle formation activity of sulfuretin was suggested. </LI> <LI> Sulfuretin acts as general Src family kinase inhibitor. </LI> <LI> The expected interaction was assumed using computer modeling. </LI> </UL> </P> <P><B>Graphical abstract</B></P> <P>[DISPLAY OMISSION]</P>
Elastic properties and equation of state for polycarbonate by high-pressure Brillouin spectroscopy
Young-Ho Ko,Jinhyuk Min,Jonghyun Song 한국물리학회 2016 Current Applied Physics Vol.16 No.3
Although the conventional vibrational spectroscopic techniques of Raman and infrared spectroscopy are generally used to analyze the material properties of polymers, the physical and mechanical information that can be obtained through these techniques is very scarce. Since elastic information and equation of state are important for the application of polymers, we carried out Brillouin spectroscopy coupled with a diamond anvil cell. The pressure dependence of elastic properties for an amorphous polycarbonate with and without pressure medium was investigated for pressure up to 11 GPa. A substantial collapse of free volume under the anisotropic pressure was ascertained with the different slopes of elastic constants, Young's moduli, and bulk moduli at low and high pressures. From the Brillouin frequency shifts, we extracted C11 and C12 elastic constants, Young's moduli, shear moduli, bulk moduli, Poisson's ratios, and their pressure dependences. PeV isotherms were then constructed and fitted to two semi-empirical equations of state to extract the isothermal bulk modulus and its pressure derivative.
