N/A Melanin concentrating hormone (MCH) regulating color change of fish skin was identified from brain cDNA library of Olive flounder (Paralichthys olivaceus) during the analysis of Expressed Sequence Tags (ESTs). Olive flounder MCH gene consisted of 598 nucleotides encoding 150 amino acids. Olive flounder MCH protein revealed to contain signal peptide of 19 amino acid residues, pro-MCH of 131 amino acids being processed to biologically active and mature form of hormone with 25 amino acid residues at the carboxyl terminus. A comparative structural analysis revealed that Olive flounder MCH precursor had low sequence identity with other fish species and mammalian counterparts, while the amino acid sequences of mature hormone had a relatively high identity and more conserved. RT-PCR analysis revealed that olive flounder MCH precersor gene was expressed spectically only in the brain and not in other tissues.
간호사가 지각하는 변혁적 리더십이 일의 의미와 이직 의도에 미치는 영향

본 논문은 의료 기관에 종사하는 간호사가 지각하는 리더의 변혁적 리더십이 심리적 자본을 매개로 구성원의 직무태 도인 일의 의미와 이직 의도에 미치는 영향을 파악하기 위하여 시도되었다. 본 연구는 서울 소재 300병상 이상 3개 종합병원 에서 근무하는 간호사 201명을 대상으로 하였으며, 자료 분석은 SPSS Windows 20.0과 AMOS 20.0을 사용하였다. 구조방정 식 모형을 구축하기 위해 확인적 요인분석을 실시하였으며, 집중타당도와 모형의 적합도 검증하였다. 분석 결과 변혁적 리더 십은 심리적 자본(.68, p=.007)에 직접적인 영향을 미쳤으며, 이직 의도(-.34, p=.008)를 낮추고, 일의 의미(.11, p=.007)를 향상 시키는데 직접적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 심리적 자본은 일의 의미(.26, p=.009)와 이직 의도(-.07, p=.041)에 직접적인 영향을 미쳤고, 이직 의도(-.05, p=.087)와 일의 의미(.18, p=.004)에 간접적인 영향을 미치는 것으로도 나타났다. 본 연구의 결과는 간호사들의 이직 의도를 낮추고 일의 의미를 높이기 위해 리더의 변혁적 리더십과 구성원이 가지고 있는 심리적 자본의 매개 효과를 고려한 인적자원 관리 프로그램의 개발이 요구된다. The purpose of this study was to explore the effects of transformational leadership as perceived by nurses working in medical institutions on their work attitudes using psychological capital as a mediating variable. Subjects were 201 nurses working in three general hospitals located in Seoul with more than 300 beds, and SPSS Windows 20.0 and AMOS 20.0 were used for data analysis. As the results of the analysis, transformational leadership had direct effects on psychological capital (.68, p=.007), turnover intention (-.34, p=.008), and meaning of work (.11, p=.007), whereas psychological capital had direct effects on meaning of work (.26, p=.009) and turnover intention (-.07, p=.041). In addition, transformational leadership had indirect effects on turnover intention (-.05, p=.087) and meaning of work (.18, p=.004). The results of this study can be used as a base material in the development of programs to exert positive effects on nurses' work attitudes.

Vitellogenin (Vg) is the precursor of vitellin (Vn), which is the major yolk protein in nearly all oviparous species, including fish, amphibians, reptiles, and most invertebrates. It is one of the most important factors during reproduction, and numerous studies have shown that Vg genes are markers of the reproductive cycle and effecter genes induced by endocrine-disrupting chemicals (EDCs). Previously, we isolated two distinct cDNAs encoding vitellogenin homologs Pj-Vg1 and Pj-Vg2 from Pandalus shrimp Pandalopsis japonica. In this study, full-length genomic sequences of Pj-Vg1 and Pj-Vg2 were determined using a PCR-based genome walking strategy. Isolated Pj-Vg1 and Pj-Vg2 genes were 11,910 and 11,850bp long, respectively. Both Pj-Vg genes had 15 exons and 14 introns, and the splicing sites were also the same, suggesting that they arose via gene duplication. The similar structural characteristics of decapod Vg genes suggest that they are all orthologs that evolved from the same ancestral gene. Analysis of Pj-Vg1 and Pj-Vg2 expression revealed that the relative copy numbers of Pj-Vg1 and Pj-Vg2 were similar in the hepatopancreas, whereas Pj-Vg2 transcripts were also detected in the ovary. Expression of both Pj-Vg genes was induced in hepatopancreas of mature individuals, whereas only Pj-Vg2 transcripts were upregulated in the ovaries from mature animals, suggesting that both Pj-Vgs are important for oocyte development. A strong positive correlation was found between Pj-Vg1 and Pj-Vg2 transcripts in the same individual, indicating they are under the same control mechanisms. Additionally, a positive correlation was found between ovarian and hepatopancreatic Pj-Vg2 transcripts, suggesting that its dual expression is regulated by similar physiological conditions. Knowledge of the similarities and differences between the two vitellogenin-like genes, Pj-Vg1 and Pj-Vg2, would help us to understand their roles in reproduction and other physiological effects.

This is a cross-sectional descriptive study to examine and compare interpersonal emotion management strategies of Adventist pastors using Interpersonal Emotion Management Strategies Scale developed by Little et al. The study was conducted by collecting questionaires from 106 pastors who work in capital city area and Gangwondo. The result shows that there were no significant differences according to pastors’ positions (ordination) in situation adjustment, attention rearrangement, and cognitive change out of the sub-factors of the Scale. But in the control of emotional reaction the non- ordained pastors are higher than the ordained pastors. In case of pastoral experiences around ten yeras there were no differences in emotional response control. But in situation adjustment, attention rearrangement, and cognitive change, pastors who have over 10 years of pastoral experience represent higher levels than those who have under 10 years of experience. This result will be used as a significant baseline data to develop human resource management programs for pastors.
Characterization of Melanin-concentrating Hormone from Olive Flounder (Paralichthys olivaceus)

멜라닌 농축 호르몬(melanin-concentrating hormone, MCH)은 17개의 아미노산으로 구성된 환형의 시상하부 펩티드로 색소 침착의 조절인자로서 연어에서 처음 분리되었다. 포유동물의 MCH는 19개의 아미노산으로 구성되어 있으며 섭식 및 에너지 항상성을 조절하는데 관여한다. 본 연구에서는 양식넙치의 다양한 조직에서 MCH 유전자의 발현 분포, 멜라닌 함유 세포의 집적, 포유동물 MCH 수용체와 양식넙치 MCH의 상호작용을 조사하였다. Real-time qPCR을 이용하여 뇌, 정소, 난소에서 MCH 유전자의 발현이 나타나는 것을 확인하였고, 수정 후 발달단계에서도 MCH 유전자의 발현을 확인할 수 있었다. 합성된 연어 sMCH, 포유류 hMCH, 양식넙치 fMCH, dN-fMCH, dC-fMCH를 양식 넙치의 표피에 처리했을 때 다양한 농도에 따라 멜라닌 함유 세포의 집적이 다양하게 나타났다. 연어 sMCH, 포유류 hMCH에 비해 양식넙치 fMCH의 멜라닌 함유세포의 집적도가 36~99.85%로 비역가를 나타났으나 양식넙치 dN-fMCH, dC-fMCH를 처리한 경우 양식넙치 fMCH에 비해 높은 농도에서 집적이 나타나고 짧은 시간에 분산되었다. 또한, 인간 MCH 수용체와 쥐 MCH 수용체가 발현된 포유동물의 세포주에 양식넙치 fMCH를 처리하여 각 수용체와 결합하는 것을 확인하였다. 이러한 결과는 어류에서 발현되는 MCH가 포유동물의 MCH와 유사한 구조를 가지고 있어 MCH 수용체에 대한 새로운 리간드로서 제공될 수 있으며, 향후 어류의 MCH 수용체에 확대 적용할 수 있을 것이다. The melanin-concentrating hormone (MCH), a cyclic hypothalamic peptide composed of 17 amino acids, was initially identified in chum salmon (Oncorhynchus keta) as a regulator of pigmentation. Mammalian MCHs are cyclic hypothalamic peptides composed of 19 amino acids that regulate food intake and energy homeostasis. The present study examined not only MCH expression of different tissues but also the melanohore aggregation and intracellular Ca<SUP>2+</SUP> influx of fMCH and the other MCH. Real-time qPCR showed that MCH expressed specially in the brain, gonad, and ovary, and expression of MCH was observed during the developmental stages. In the application of synthetic fMCH and both types of synthetic fMCH, dN-fMCH and dC-fMCH, scale melanophore induced significant changes in aggregation activity with various concentrations of MCH. Also, compared to hMCH and sMCH, fMCH exhibited a 36~99.85% increase in relative potency (%), whereas aggregation of dN-fMCH and dC-fMCH remained in a high concentration. However, dispersion was induced rapidly according to be low concentration of dN-fMCH and dC-fMCH. We show that fMCH and its derivates were bound human MCHR1 and rat MCHR expressed in HEK293T cells with nano-molar affinity and are likely to be ligand-induced to mobilize intracellular Ca<SUP>2+</SUP>. These results may provide new ligands for binding assay with MCHew ligands, as a structure similar to the mammalian MCH structure was discovered in fish. Once the fMCH receptor system is in place, it can be compared to the MCH system of mammals in terms of MCH function.
