Even though current museums are underway of various construction, reconstruction and extension into new cultural contents space, the domestic museum construction plans are lack of various analysis and indexes, which leads to insufficient clear data about area distribution with various problems. This study conducted the comparative analysis of the changes of area distribution for each field space in accordance with diverse factors for 614 museums since 1990s which had various constructions of public museums and diversification of types through the complete enumeration survey. In the results, the ratios of exhibition and storage fields were shown to have been decreased while the study and resting fields have been increased since 1990s. When the size is bigger, the ratios of exhibition, storage and study fields are shown to be low while the ratio of resting field is high. In the regions with high urbanization, the ratio of exhibition field is low while its ratio of storage field is shown to be high. In conclusion, it was shown that period, size and region could have effect on the area ratio for each field while the type has no effect on. Through this, considering the current status of area distribution for each field space which is one of the important elements for the construction plan of museums, this study aims to present a new index by developing the program necessary for the future museum construction plan after integrating the diverse factors like regional, size and type factors.

In regards to museum planning of Korea, it is mainly depending on overseas cases and relevant domestic books without systematic guideline on the space programme in a museum. Therefore, it is urgently required to establish systematic index as it is incapable of proposing detailed analysis and index in accordance with each element. As various problems occurred due to above reason, total floor area of museum was divided by the area of exhibition section, storage section, research section, and public & other area and its ratio was calculated for statistics targeting 614 museums built after 1990"s when many public museums were built with the settlement of local self-governing system and the type of museums was diversified. It was again classified into 4 elements of period, region, scale, and type and then the influence of each element on each section of museum was understood through integrated analysis. First, looking into the space programme in regards to total floor area, the floor area ratio of exhibition section, storage section, and research section decreased and the floor area ratio of public & other area increased with the increase in total floor area. It was because not only rest area but also a space to enjoy various cultures, gaining new experience, and accumulate knowledge is located in public & other area. Second, it was revealed that the ratio of exhibition section and storage section has been decreasing since 1990"s and ratio of research section and public & other area has been increasing as they can play various roles such as the education and convenience to satisfy cultural desires of visitor in accordance with current trend. Third, it was proved that floor area ratio of exhibition section is lower than storage section in museums located in highly urbanized region. In addition to this, it was revealed that the floor area ratio of research section is in proportion to the population density. As a result of study, significant relation was displayed in scale, era, and region among 4 elements thus it could be utilized as reference for the space programme of domestic museum planning in the future.

The direct use of mutation is a valuable approach to generate variability in crops. The electron beam, one of the ionizing radiations, has been applied to evaluate its effect on seed germination and early seedling growth of creeping bentgrass (Agrostis palustris Huds., cv Penn-A1). The mature dry seeds were irradiated with various electron beam energies (0.3, 1.0, 1.3, and 2 MeV) and current levels (0.03 and 0.06 mA). Although large variability was existed within each dose, distinct difference of germiability and seedling vigor were not found at 0.3 MeV / 0.03 mA and 0.3 MeV / 0.06 mA beam condition. However, 1.0 MeV / 0.06 mA application most effectively inhibited and retarded seed germination and most severely restricted cotyledon and root growth in early seedling growth. The direct use of electron beam would be a valuable supplementary approach to generate mutants suitable for breeding purposes. 투명 전도성 산화물이 코팅된 유전체의 단방향 레이다 단면적 측정

군사 무기 체계 중 전투기에서 구조적으로 큰 비중을 차지하는 조종석 캐노피는 레이다 단면적(radar cross section: RCS) 저감 성능 확보와 함께 높은 가시광선 투과율을 요구한다. 본 논문에서는 가시광선 영역에서 높은 광투과율과 낮은 Haze 특성 구현이 가능한 투명 전도성 산화물(transparent conducting oxide: TCO)이 코팅된 아크릴계 유전체의 단방향 레이다 단면적(monostatic RCS) 특성을 실험을 통해 분석하였다. RCS 측정 교정을 위해 완전 도체를 가정한 구리로 된 도체 평판을 사용하였고, 안테나 및 산란체의 원거리장 조건을 확보하여 측정 오차를 최소화시켰다. TCO 단면 및 양면코팅된 샘플의 monostatic RCS를 측정한 결과, 수직 입사 조건에서 도체 평판 대비 약 2.9 dB, 7.24 dB의 감소치를 확인하였다. 5°, 10°의 경사 입사 조건에서 각 샘플의 RCS 변화 경향 또한 측정을 통해 함께 확인하였다. In military weapon systems, the cockpit canopy that occupies a large region of a fighter aircraft requires both high visible light transmittance and Radar Cross Section(RCS) reduction performance. In this investigation, the monostatic RCS of an acrylic dielectric coated with a transparent conducting oxide that can realize high light transmittance and low haze characteristics in the visible spectrum, was experimentally analyzed. To calibrate the RCS measurement, assuming a perfect electric conductor, a conducting plate made of copper was used and the measurement error was minimized by satisfying the far-field condition of the antenna and scatterers. The monostatic RCS of TCO single-sided and double-sided coated samples was measured. As a result, an RCS reduction of approximately 2.9 dB and 7.24 dB, respectively, was confirmed under normal incidence condition, compared to the conducting plate. In addition, RCS variations of each sample were confirmed by measurement performed at 5° and 10° oblique incidence.

병렬 결함 테스트 및 결함 포용 기능을 갖는 메모리 설계

본 논문에서는 병렬 테스트가 가능하도록 메모리의 셀 어레이를 독립적인 여러 셀블록으로 구분하고, 셀블록들이 동시에 테스트에 참여할 수 있는 메모리를 설계하였다. 본 연구에서는 1Gb 기억용량이며, 4096개의 256Kb 셀블록으로 구성된 메모리를 설계하였다. 결함 발생시는 결함 셀블록을 고립시키는 graceful capacity degradation 방법을 이용한 결함 포용 회로를 설계하였다. 제안된 1Gb 메모리는 병렬 테스팅을 수행하기 때문에 4096배의 테스트 속도를 보인다. This paper proposes techniques, which perform parallel testing operation and graceful capacity degradation in case of memory fault. We present a 1 giga-bit memory with the techniques as an example. The proposed techniques offer a reduced testing time and an improved yield for high capacity memories.

The present study was undertaken to determine whether ethanol infl uences on the agonist-induced vascular smooth muscle contraction and, if so, to investigate the related mechanism. The measurement of isometric contractions using a computerized data acquisition system was combined with molecular experiments. Ethanol signifi cantly inhibited thromboxane A2 mimetic-induced contraction with intact endothelial function, but there was no relaxation on thromboxane A2 mimetic U-46619-induced contraction irrespective of endothelium suggesting that the pathway such as Rho-kinase activation, Ca2+ entry or thin fi lament regulation was not affected. In addition, ethanol didn`t decrease thromboxane A2 mimetic-induced increase of phospho-myosin phosphatase targeting subunit protein 1 (pMYPT1) or pERK1/2. Interestingly, ethanol didn`t inhibit signifi cantly phorbol ester-induced contraction in denuded muscles suggesting that thin fi lament regulation is less important on the ethanol-induced regulation in the muscle than endothelial NO synthesis. In conclusion, this study provides the evidence and possible related mechanism concerning the effect of ethanol on the agonist-dependent contraction in rat aortic rings with regard to endothelial function.
Suppression of Magnetization Ringing After Domain Wall Collision Studied by Micromagnetic Simulation

Magnetization ringing following domain wall collision on a ferromagnetic nanowire has been investigated by micromagnetic simulation. Suppressed magnetization ringing is observed with the introduction of a small ribbon to the nanowire. Magnetization ringing has been analyzed in a frequency space by a fast Fourier transform. With the introduction of a small ribbon and/or taping of the wire, the amplitude of ringing is reduced with a shifted frequency peak.
