<P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>We here report methylammonium lead-iodide-based perovskite solar cells (psSCs) in which a TiO<SUB>2</SUB> layer (a <I>de-facto</I> electron transport layer of psSCs) is replaced with a layer of C<SUB>60</SUB> evaporated onto indium tin oxide layers covered with polyethylenimine ethoxylated (PEIE) layers. Unlike TiO<SUB>2</SUB> layers requiring a high-temperature sintering, C<SUB>60</SUB> is deposited while the substrate is held at room temperature, making it compatible with various plastic substrates for flexible psSCs. The PEIE layers are shown to play key roles, not only as an electron-collecting interfacial layer but also as a surface modifier that helps maintain the integrity of the C<SUB>60</SUB> layers during spin-coating of the perovskite active layers. Using the proposed device architecture, we demonstrate flexible psSCs that exhibit power conversion efficiency as high as 13.3% with low hysteresis.</P> <P><B>Highlights</B></P> <P> <UL> <LI> The flexible perovskite solar cells exhibiting a PCE of 13.3% was realized with low hysteresis and reasonable durability. </LI> <LI> A C<SUB>60</SUB> layer was evaporated as an electron transport layer onto ITO layers covered with PEIE layers. </LI> <LI> The PEIE layer helps maintain the integrity of C<SUB>60</SUB> films during the two-step spin-coating process. </LI> <LI> The growth of uniform perovskite layers with significantly improved reproducibility were verified by various measurements. </LI> </UL> </P> <P><B>Graphical abstract</B></P> <P>[DISPLAY OMISSION]</P>

Background and Objectives Compared to office blood pressure (OBP), central blood pressure (CBP) and ambulatory blood pressure (BP) are known to be better markers for predicting cardiovascular events. We evaluated the association between left ventricular reverse remodeling (LVRR) and ambulatory CBP in heart failure with reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF). Methods This study retrospectively analyzed 93 patients who performed ambulatory CBP and brachial BP (BBP) monitoring from 2018 to 2020 within 1 year after diagnosis of HFrEF at a single tertiary center. We analyzed the association between on-treatment ambulatory BPs and LVRR on follow-up echocardiography. Results The mean age of participants was 59 years; 65.6% were men; mean LVEF was 29%. Ambulatory BP and follow-up echocardiography were done at 143 days (interquartile range [IQR], 64–267) and 454 days (IQR, 281–600) after diagnosis of HF, respectively. Baseline OBP was not different between 2 groups, but ambulatory systolic CBP was significantly higher in the LVRR group than the non-LVRR group (p=0.005). Systolic OBP (odds ratio [OR], 1.029; confidence interval [CI], 1.004–1.055; p=0.026), 24-hour ambulatory systolic CBP (OR, 1.048; CI, 1.015–1.082; p=0.004), and 24-hour ambulatory systolic BBP (OR, 1.049; CI,1.017–1.082; p=0.003) were associated with LVRR. Compared to ambulatory systolic CBP of 110–119 mmHg, 90–99 mmHg showed lower OR for LVRR. Conclusions Low on-treatment ambulatory systolic CBP was closely related to a lower likelihood of LVRR in HFrEF than the normal range. Ambulatory CBP measured during treatment of patients with HFrEF appears to be useful in predicting outcomes. Enhanced mass transfer rate of methane in aqueous phase via methyl-functionalized SBA-15

<P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>Methyl-functionalized mesoporous silica SBA-15, synthesized from tetraethyl-orthosilicate (TEOS) and methyltriethoxysilane (MTES), were employed as additives for the enhancement of volumetric mass transfer coefficient (<I>k</I> <SUB>L</SUB> <I>a</I>) of methane in aqueous solution. The surface functional group, highly ordered structure, and exceptionally high surface area exerted great influence on mass transfer rate of methane in aqueous solution. Especially, the fraction of surface functional groups controlled by adjusting the ratio of TEOS to MTES was found to be a crucial factor. Mesoporous characteristics of synthesized materials were investigated via BET surface area analysis, small angle X-ray diffraction, and FT-IR spectroscopy. At an optimal molar ratio (20:1) of TEOS and MTES, an 88% enhancement of <I>k</I> <SUB>L</SUB> <I>a</I> for methane in water was observed at 30°C.</P> <P><B>Highlights</B></P> <P> <UL> <LI> Methyl-functionalized silica SBA-15 were synthesized and characterized. </LI> <LI> Synthesized materials were employed as additives in aqueous solution. </LI> <LI> Enhanced methane–water volumetric mass transfer coefficient was observed. </LI> <LI> 88% enhancement of <I>k</I> <SUB>L</SUB> <I>a</I> for methane in water was observed. </LI> </UL> </P>
보행공간 가로시설물의 색채적용 평가에 관한 연구 : 디자인서울거리' 조성사업을 중심으로

보행공간의 가로시설물은 도시경관을 이루는 중요한 구성요소이며 디자인이나 배치방법은 사용자를 위한 환경을 만드는 수단으로 역할을 한다. 이러한 관점에서 보행공간의 가로시설물에 대한 형태적 연구는 많이 진행되고 있는 반면 색채적용에 대한 평가는 미비한 실정이다. 이에 본 연구는 보행공간의 가로시설물 색채적용에 대한 평가정도가 보행공간에 어떠한 차이를 보이는지 알아보고자 하였다. 사례대상은 비교적 잘 조성되어 있는'디자인서울거리' 조성사업을 대상으로 색채이미지공간 분석을 통해 형용사적 언어이미지를 유추하였고 보행공간 가로시설물의 색상평가를 통해 조화와 부조화의 여부를 문과 스펜서의 색채조화론을 토대로 미도와 색의 3속성 중 색상의 조화정도를 정량적으로 분석하였다. 그 결과 각 보행공간의 공통되고 주를 이루는 색은 GY(연두)의 중성계열과'차분한' 등의 형용사 언어이미지를 유추하였다. 가로시설물의 색상 조화정도는 가로시설물이 주변 환경과 조화되는 것일수록 색상의 미도 값이 그렇지 않은 시설보다 높게 나타났고 또 유사조화나 대비조화가 많은 시설물일수록 색상의 미도 값이 높게 나타난 것을 알 수 있었다. 그리고 한색계열(B) 또는 중성계열(GY G)이 디자인서울거리 보행공간 가로시설물에 많이 배색되어 있는 것으로 나타났고 면적이 넓은 가로수와 어울리게 색상배색을 동일조화나 유사조화로 배색하였다. 그리고 동일조화나 유사조화가 낮은 곳은 대비조화를 통해 가로시설물 색상의 미도 값을 높일 수 있다는 것을 알 수 있었다. The street furniture on the pedestrian space is one of important components creating the city landscape and its design or installation methods work as the means to create the environment for users. In this aspect while a number of morphological studies on the street furniture on the pedestrian space has been performed the evaluation on color application has not been adequately examined yet. Accordingly this study tried to identify what kinds of differences the evaluation on color application on the street furniture generated on the pedestrian space. The subject was the "Design Seoul Street"project where the pedestrian space was relatively well designed. The epithetic images were obtained by color image space analysis. The harmony of hue one of three properties of colors and aesthetic measure were quantitatively analyzed by color evaluation on street furniture on the pedestrian space on the basis of Moon & Spencer's Theory of Color Harmony. In accordance with the analysis results the main and common color on each pedestrian space was the neutral color "GY(light green)" and the epithetic images including "calm" were inferred from the analysis. For the harmony of colors of street furniture the more it was harmonized with surroundings the higher the aesthetic value of color was. Furthermore the more the street furniture had related color harmony or contrasting color harmony the higher the aesthetic value of color was. In addition cold color(B) or neutral color(GY G) was arranged a lot on the street furniture on the pedestrian space in Design Seoul Street. The color arrangement was based on the same color harmony or related color harmony for good match with wide street. It was also found that for the pedestrian space with low same color harmony or related color harmony the aesthetic measure value of street furniture color could be increased by applying the contrasting color harmony.
