수술적으로 치료한 통증을 동반한 흉추부의 후외상성 Schmorl씨 결절 : 2례 보고 Report of Two Cases

Study Design : Two patients who had painful Schmorl's node at thoracic level from acute trauma were adopted and taken operation for its treatment Objectives : To document the effect of operation for the treatment of painful Schmorl's node at thoracic level summary of background data : Schrmorl's nodes are common spinal lesion generally believed to be asymptomatic, but in some cases there were painful symptom by Schmorl's node. This case report is to explain the effect of operative treatment for the painful Schmorl's node. Methods : Two patients were adopted who had traumatic painful Schmorl's node at thoracic level for our case report. They were treated conservative methods at first but it's effect were poor, so they were taken anterior decompression and fusion, and checked back pain symptom. Result : In all two patients, the symptom of back pain by Schmorl's nodes at thoracic level was almost subsided. conclusion : For the treatment of traumatic painful Schmorl's node, most of surgeon says that conservative treatments were treatment of choice, but operative treatments are also benefit to subsidence of back pain by Schmorl's node.

CFRP 판재의 섬유방향에 따른 절삭성 평가

In recent, the CFRP(Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastics) composite has been widely used because it has light-weight and high mechanical strength. Therefore, CFRP composite is applied to variable industrial areas such as aerospace, automobiles, sporting goods, ships and so on. Generally, CFRP composite has been used in the industrial field by mechanical cutting processes. In this research, the CFRP composite specimen are laminated by 64plies with orientation angles such as 0°, 45°, 90° and [0°/±45°/90°]4S. The results are analyzed with cutting force and cutting surface.

Cyanoacrylate가 成犬 齒周瓣膜의 治癒에 미치는 影響

butyl cyanoacrylate가 一般的인 縫合絲에 比해 齒 剝離搔爬術後 齒周辯膜의 治癒에 미치는 影響을 糾明하고자 5마리의 雜種犬 ( 6∼8kg )을 利用, 이들의 上下顎 左右 犬齒에 該當하는 頰側 附着齒 에 齒 剝離搔爬術을 施行하고 上記 2가지 方法을 區分하여 樂劑의 塗布 및 縫合을 施行한 後 定한 날에 實驗動物을 儀牲시켜 組織學的 檢鏡을 통해 이를 觀察하여 다음과 같이 結果를 얻었다. 組織學的 所見에서 初期에는 實驗部가 對照部에 比해 下部組織에 淨腫性 纖維素綱과 炎症細胞浸潤이 微弱하였고, 裂溝上皮細胞의 被服과 纖維性 骨膜의 形成이 迅速하였으며 纖維性 結締組織에 의한 齒周 膜과 齒面과의 癒合도 빨리 일어났다. releasing incision 部位에서도 實驗部가 炎症細胞浸潤이 보다 적었고, 肉茅組織의 形成이 迅速히 일어났으며 그 量도 적었다. 그러나 組織學的 觀察의 全 過程을 통해 3週에서는 治癒程度에 있어서 兩者間의 差異가 없었고, 4週에서도 兩者間의 治癒程道에 대한 差異를 觀察할 수 없었다. This is study was made in order to determine the histological changes associated with healing following the use of cyanoacrylates and silk sutures in canine areas where periodontal flap procedures had been carried out. In this experiment 5 adult mongrel dogs were used. The cyanoacrylate on the right side and black silk suture on the left buccal side of maxilla and mandibular canine area, were applied for the fixation of the flap after the periodontal flap surgery. On the experimental days, the experimental areas were examined clinically and sacrificed. Thereafter histological secimens were made following the useal methods and examined with light microscope. The results were as follows : In the histologic observations, the experimental areas as compared with the controls ; There was weak inflammatory cell infiltration and less edematous fibrin mesh formation at the substructure of the flap. The sulcus epithelial cell covering and formation of the fibrous periosteum was made rapidly. The union of periodontal flap and tooth surface by fibrous connective tissue was also made rapidly at the experimental areas. At the areas of the releasing incision less inflammatory cell infiltration and rapidity and small amount of granulation tissue formation were found. But through the entire procedure of the histologic observations, there was little difference in the degree of healing between the two in the 3rd week and it was also impossible to find the difference of healing between the two in the 4 th week.

철소지 위에 형성된 니켈-크롬 및 광택니켈-마이크로포러스 크롬 도금층의 캐스, 전해부식 시험을 이용한 내식성 평가

CASS(copper accelerated acetic salt spray) and EC(electrolytic corrosion test) tests were performed in order to evaluate the resistance to corrosion of plated Ni-Cr and Ni-microporous Cr layers on Fe substrate. Compared with the conventional methods such as CASS, the electrochemical method, i.e. EC test showed the superiority in terms of test-time span and quantitative accuracy. Furthermore, EC test also offered the alternative method to be able to evaluate the resistance to corrosion of coatings by measuring the rest potentials of the coated layers on the substrate in the electrolyte during the off-time of EC cycles, comparing them with those of pure iron, nickel, and chromium. Results showed that although there is not much difference between CASS and EC tests in case of Ni-microporous Cr specimens during the short testing time span, EC test reflected the minute variation of currents and potentials, providing the faster and quantitative results than CASS test. Therefore, EC test method offers the much better results than the conventional method like CASS, in terms of evaluating the resistance to corrosion of the coated layers. (Received July 12, 2004)

급성 림프구성 백혈병 환자에서 발생한 침습성 국균 심내막염 2예

국균은 호흡기를 통해 유입되며 심한 면역기능저하 환자에서 기회감염을 일으키는 진균이며 주로 혈관을 따라 폐를 침범하고 심장과 골침범은 매우 드문 것으로 알려져 있다. 저자들은 급성 림프구성 백혈병 환자에서 발생한 침습성 국균 심내막염을 2예을 경험하였다. 19세 남자환자로 동종 조혈모세포이식 후 발생한 고열과 요통의 원인으로 감염성 심내막염 진단하에 수술결과 국균에 의한 감염으로 확증되어 수술적 절제술과 liposomal amphotericin B로 치료하였으나 국균 심내막염의 재발과 국균 척추염의 악화, 뇌 출혈로 사망하였다. 23세 남자환자로 관해요법 후 발생한 고열과 요통의 원인으로 국균 심내막염과 국균 척추염 진단하에 수술적 절제술과 amphotericin B로 치료하여 1년 2개월 동안 국균 심내막염의 재발은 없었으나 지속적인 백혈병의 재발과 국균 척추염의 악화, 침습성 폐 국균증으로 사망하였다. Although Aspergillus endocarditis has rarely been reported, it can cause fatal complications in hematologic malignancy patients and allogeneic stem cell transplant recipients. We experienced two cases of aspergillus endocarditis developed in acute lymphoblastic leukemia patients. Case; A 19-year-old patient developed Aspergillus endocarditis after allogenic hemopoietic stem cell transplantation. He was treated with surgical intervention and liposomal amphotericin B. He died of recurred Aspergillus endocarditis and cerebral hemorrhage probably related with aspergillosis of central nervous system. Case 2; A 23-year-old patient developed invasive Aspergillus endocarditis after induction chemotherapy. Aspergillus endocarditis was successfully treated by surgical intervention and amphotericin B. He died of refractory neutropenic fever and sepsis after the third relapse of leukemia and repetitive chemotherapy. He probably had invasive pulmonary aspergillosis without evidence of endocarditis recurrence. Because the mortality of Aspergillus endocarditis is very high, early diagnosis and surgical intervention are very important for better outcome.

Bi계 산화물 초전도체 2212상에 있어서 Bi 자리에 Ge 치환에 따른 초전도 특성

고상반응법(solid-state reaction)으로 산화물 초전도체 Bi_2-xGe_xSr_2CaCu_2O_8+8(x=0, 0.1, 0.2, 0.3, 0.4, 0.5)을 제조하여 치환에 따른 산소량의 변화가 초전도 특성에 미치는 영향에 관하여 조사하였다. 이차 가압(intermediate press) 방법으로 제조한 시편은 온도 폭 △K(온도 임계온도 T_c^on과 영저항 임계온도 T_c^zero와의 차)가 상당히 감소함을 알았으며 80 K 단일상 고용한계는 Ge 치환량이 x<- 0.3영역임을 알았다. 고용한계 영역 내에서 Ge 치환량 x의 증가에 따라 격자상수 c가 감소함을 보였으며, 온셋 임계온도 T_c^on은 증가하였고, 과잉(여분) 샨소량은 감소함을 보였다. Samples with the nominal composition, Bi_2-xGe_xSr_2CaCu_2O_8+8(x=0, 0.1, 0.2, 0.3, 0.4, 0.5) were prepared by the solid-state reaction method. We have studied the effect of substitution Ge for Bi and investigated the superconducting properties by changing oxygen content with Ge substitution. It was found that temperature difference, △K, between T_c^on and T_c^zero was considerably smaller in the samples prepared by the intermediate pressing method than that in the samples by the solid-state reaction method. We found the solubility limit of Ge to the 80 K single phase, the onset critical temperature T_c^on increased and excess oxygen content decreased with increase of x.

정신분열병에 대한 Risperidone의 효과 및 안전성에 관하여

In order to evaluate the efficacy and safety of risperidone, 10 patients with chronic schizophrenia were examined for 8 weeks in a silgle-open study. After the wash-out period of 1 week, risperidone was administered. Efficacy was evaluated by means of Positive and Negative syndrome Scale for Schizophernia(PANSS) and Clinical Global Impression(CGI). Safety assessment included the Extrapyramidal Symptom Rating Scale(ESRS), vital signs, body weight, ECG, and laboratory tests. The results were as follows 1) On the PANSS total score, there was significant improvement of total score after 1 week (P<.05) of administratiom. 2) On the PANSS positive and negative subscal, there were significant improvement of posotive and negative scores after 2 weeks (P<.05) of administration. 3) On the PANSS general psychopatholgy subscals, there were significant improvement of general psychopathologyscores after 1 week (P<.05) of administratiom. 4) On the CGI, there was significant decreasement of clinical impression of severity of schizophrenia score after 2 week (P<.05) of administration. 5) A statistically significant increase in body weight (P<.05) was observed after 8 weeks of administration. 6) EPS reached the peak at the end of the 1st week of administration of risperidone (11.8± 24.25) but they were easily relieved by addition of benztropine and clonazepam. There was not significant change in laboratory tests, vital sign, ECG after 8 weeks of administration. These results suggest that Risperidone is an effective antipsychotics and clinically safe except for increased body weight in chronic schizophrenia.

광섬유 집합체 센서를 이용한 6MV 광자선의 반음영 및 심부선량백분율 측정

In this study, a fiber-optic bundle sensor has been developed using water-equivalent organic scintillating fibers for photon beam measurement. Beam penumbra and percent depth doses(PDD) are measured according to the depth of the photon beam. This sensor has many advantages such as high resolution, real-time measurement and ease of calibration over conventional radiation measurement devices.

韓國人 妊産婦 및 新生兒 血淸 Immunoglobulins에 關한 硏究

Levels of the three major classic immunoglobulins(IgG, IgA, IgM) were measured by rad a1 immunodiffusion plate method in paired maternal and cord sera at the time of delivery. Primarily, the purpose of this study is to establish the baseline of serum immunoglobulin levels in the normal term pregnant women and their fetuses in Korea, and to evaluate the correlations between serum immunoglobulin levels and various factors which were proposed that can influence the serum concentrations of immunoglobulins. The values obtained in maternal and fetal sera were submitted to statistical analysis to know the correlations with delivery method, parity, fetal body weight and monthly expenditure. 1. The levels of IgG in maternal and cord sera were 1129±15.9mg per 100m1 and 1245±25.2mg per 100ml. 2. The levels of IgA in maternal and cord sera were 225±7.1mg per l00m1 and 27±4.2 mg per 100ml. 3. The levels of IgM in maternal and cord sera were 155±3.5mg per l00m1 and 4o±2.1 mg per 100ml. 4. There was no close correlation between the immunoglobulin levels in the maternal sera and the monthly body weight. 5. There was no close correlation between the immunoglobulin levels in the maternal sera and the monthly expenditure. 6. There was no significant difference in maternal and fetal cord sera immunoglobulins levels between normal vaginal delivery group and elective cesarean section group. 7. There was no significant difference in maternal and fetal cord sera immunoglobulins levels between primiparous group and multiparous group. 8. There was siginificant correlation between the IgM levels of mother and the fetus, but not in IgG and IgA.

중재제도유용성과 부산지역기업들의 인식도에 관한 실증적 연구

In the era of globalization firms must operate all useable resources into marketing activities to survive on the unlimited competition. However, firms face many kinds of disputes with counterparts because of aggressive marketing activities. There are two ways of solving these disputes : litigation and arbitration. As compared to litigation, arbitration is more popular because of such merits as the enforcement of arbitral award in foreign countries, the single trial system, the settlement by specialists, and the confidential proceedings. This paper examines trade firms' perception on the arbitration system and the effects of the advantages of arbitration and quality of arbitrators on the outcome of arbitration. The results show that the advantages of arbitration and quality of arbitrators influenced positively on the outcome of arbitration, but influenced nagatively on the colsed-door of arbitration procedures and a fair procedure of arbitrator. Though this paper has several limitations, this paper may contribute to figure out the relationship between arbitration merits and quality of arbitrator and outcomes as a first empirical paper and to suggest future research method and direction.
