      • 니페디핀이 암피실린의 흡수에 미치는 영향

        Amino-β-lactam antibiotics are absorbed by the dipeptide transporter in the small intestine. These uptakes are coupled to a proton influx. The inward proton gradient is partly induced by the Na^(+)/H^(+) exchanger and cakium ion is involved in control of this antiport. Interaction between ampicillin which is one of the amino-β-lactam antibiotics and nifedipine which is one of calcium channel blocking agents was studied in rats in vivo and with rabbit jejunum mounted on the Sweetana/Grass diffusion cells in vitro. Bioavailability of ampicillin was increased significantly when nifedipine was co-administered orally in rats. There were no differences in the distribution phase and the elimination phase when ampicillin was given either alone or with nifedipine intravenously. Conditions for in vitro experiments were determined. The lift rate of O₂/CO₂ gas was controlled to 3 bubbles/sec and ampicillin was stable in the Kreb's buffer at pH6.0 Absorption of ampicillin was the greatest when the completely-stripped serosal membrane was used. Transport of ampicillin from mucosal to serosal side in the rabbit jejunum was enhanced by 32% in the presence of nifedipine (p=0.059). Above results suggest that nifedipine might increase the plasma level of ampicillin via the improved absorption in the intestine rather than the reduction in the elimination or/and alteration in the distribution.

      • 후복막섬유증 5례의 임상적 고찰

        Retroperitoneal fibrosis is a fibrotic process of the retroperitoneum that frequently produces ureteral obstruction. It can occur as an idiopathic disease or in association with various non-malignant and malignant condition. In the early phase of the retroperitoneal fibrosis ; symptoms originate from the disease process itself, while in the late state the clinical features represent the effect of obstructive uropathy and renal failure. Treatment consist of steroid therapy, urinary diversion and ureterolysis with jntraperitonealization or lateralization or wrapping with omentum. Herein we present 5 cases of retroperitoneal fibrosis.

      • Sialic Acid 의 감소가 탈지분유의 단백 용해도에 미치는 영향

        The milk protein portion contains sialic acid which may be used as an index for k-casein, In comparison with non fat dry milk(NFDM) and calcium caseinate, the solubility of NFDMprotein isolates at the various pH was inferior. Another consideration for the low solubility relates to the possibility that k-casein may have been extracted or possibly modified by the action of alcohol. The k-casein is the principal stabilizing fraction for casein micelle and any changes which result in its destruction or removal would be expected to have potent results. During solvent treatment, 16.5% of sialic acid was extracted in the first extraction solvent, whereas the second treatment caused only a 4.0% loss, based on sialic acid analysis. A study was conducted on the effect of concentration of methanol on loss of sialic acid. The loss of sialic acid decreased as the concentration of methanol increased to above 62% in bath the first and second extracted solvent. it appears that loss of sialic acid is attributed to the water fraction rather than the methanol fraction. The effect of addition of the dried extracted solids on solubility was investigated. Protein solubility of NFDM protein isolates was sharply increased by 10% addition of the extracted solids and, thereafter, decreased. Efforts to restore solubility by feeding-back the extracted material supported the concept that removal of surface k-casein may have been a possible factor.

      • Helicobacter pylori의 생육과 각종 유기산의 식품 보존료로서의 효과

        Helicobacter pylori의 생육과 각종 유기산의 식품보존료로서의 효과를 검토하였다. 우선 보존료로 현재 식품첨가물로 사용되고 있는 소르빈산(sorbic acid), 프로피온산(propionic), 안식향산(benzoic acid) 등의 H. pylori에 대한 항균능력을 검토한 결과 소르빈산, 프로피온산, 안식향산의 H. pylori에 대한 항균효과가 관찰되었으며 안식향산은 소르빈산이나 프로피온산과 비교했을 때는 별로 큰 효과를 나타내지 못하였다. 보존료의 조합에 대한 H. pylori의 생육억제효과는 0.5% 소르빈산과 0.5% 프로피온산을 조합하는 경우 나타났으며 다른 조합군과 비교할 때 큰 차이를 나타내지 못하였다. 유기산과 H. pylori의 생육관계에서는 단독 첨가시에는 항균력이 크게 나타나지 않고 조합하는 경우에만 좋은 항균력을 나타내었다. 유기산, 보존료와 H. pylori 생육관계는 유기산류는 어떤 보존료와 혼합하여도 항균력에 상승효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 특히 구연산의 경우 소르빈산과 조합한 경우에는 H. pylori생육이 많이 억제되었으며 그 다음이 구연산+안식향산, 구연산+프로피온산 순으로 균에 대한 항균력이 감소되었다. 또 사과산과 숙실산은 구연산과 비슷한 경향을 나타내었다. The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of various organic acids as food preservatives on the growth of Helicobacter pylori(H.pylor). The antimicrobial effects of sorbic acid, propionic acid and benzoic acid currently used as food preservatives were examined in light of the growth of Helicobacter pylori. Each of them was observed to have positive antimicrobial effect on Helicobacter pylori. However, benzoic acid wasn't higher than sorbic acid and propionic acid in antimicrobial effect. As for the combination of preservatives, antimicrobial activity of H. pylori was shown in the combination of sorbic acid(0.5%) and propionic acid(0.5%). However, its effect was not significantly different in comparison with other combinations. In the relationship of organic acids and H. pylori's growth, organic acid had no effect on antimicrobial activity when it was used alone, whereas antimicrobial effect was shown to be better in case of combination. If intermix of organic acids and preservatives and addition to the medium for suppression of H. pylori growth were achieved, organic acid exhibited synergistic effect on suppression of H. pylori's growth, even in combination of any other preservatives. In particular, in combination of citric acid and sorbic acid, the growth of H. pylori was shown to be remarkable suppression. And the effectiveness on suppression of H. pylori's growth was lowered in order of citric acid + bezoic acid and citric acid + propionic. acid. It was also found that the antimicrobial effects of malic acid and succinic acid were similar to those of citric acid.

      • 소의 시상하부내에서 Vasopressin과 Oxytion분비세포의 분포에 관한 면역조직화학적 연구

        This study was done to observe the distributions of Oxytocinergic and Vasopressinergic neurons in the hypothalamus of the cow. For the immunohistochemical staining, sections were reacted with the following sequence of solutions: monoclonal anti-vasopressin and anti-oxytocin, biotinylated anti-mouse IgG, avidin-biotin peroxidase complex, and Ni-DAB. The results observed under light microscope were summarized as follows. Our immunohistochemical investigations reveal both vasopressinergic and oxytocinergic neurons in the supraoptic nucleus(SON), paraventricular nucleus(PVN), accessory supraoptic nucleus (ASN), periventricular nucleus(PN), suprachiasmatic nucleus(SCN), and arcuate nucleus(AN), but these two types of neurons were mainly distributed in the PVN and SON and the ratio of the number of vasopressinergic neurons to that of oxytocinergic neurons was 1:1.30 in the PVN, and 1:1.00 in the SON. These two types of neurons were round, oval and spindle-shaped and cell size was 30-55um.

        정신분열병 환자 자녀에서의 주의력 장애

        본 연구의 목적은 정신분열병 환자의 자녀들과 알코올 의존증 환자의 자녀, 그리고 정신과학적으로 건강한 부모의 자녀들을 대상으로 연속 작업수행력 검사를 이용한 정보처리 과정에서의 지속적 주의력에 관한 사항과 정보 감지능력 검사를 이용한 정보 처리과정에서의 감각등록에 관한 사항을 측정하고 세 군간에 그 결과를 서로 비교하여 차이 유무를 검증하기 위함이다. 연구 대상은 정신분열병 환자의 자녀 28명을 대상군으로 그리고 알코올 의존증 환자의 자녀 18명과 정신과학적으로 건강한 부모를 둔 중고등학생 41명을 대조군으로 하였다. 연구 방법은 대상군 및 두 대조군 모두에게 연속 작업수행력 검사와 정보 감지능력 검사를 순차적으로 시행한 후 그 결과를 서로 비교하였다. 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 1) 연속 작업수행력 검사에서는 대상군이 두 대조군에 비해 맞춘 횟수와 비율이 유의하게 낮았고 놓친 횟수는 반대로 유의하게 높았다. 가장 중요한 변인인 민감도는 대상군이 두 대조군에 비해 유의하게 낮았다. 2) 연속 작업수행력 검사에서 시간 경과에 따른 각 변인의 변화를 보면 맞춘 횟수와 비율에서 대상군이 두 대조군에 비해 시간이 경과할수록 유의하게 감소하였다. 민감도 역시 시간이 경과할수록 대상군이 두 대조군에 비해 유의하게 감소하였다. 3) 연속 작업수행력 검사의 민감도, 정보 감지능력 검사에서의 정답반응 횟수에서 정상 대조군의 분포 곡선중 하위 10% 수치를 절단점으로 잡아 그 수치 이하를 보이는 대상 숫자를 비교해 보면 연속 작업수행력 검사에서만 정신분열병 환자의 자녀군과 정상 대조군 사이에 유의한 차이를 보였다. 4) 대상군, 정상 대조군, 대상군중 연속 작업수행력 검사의 민감도가 하위 10% 이하에 속하는 군의 MMPI를 서로 비교한 결과 세 군간에 MMPI의 모든 변인에서 유의한 차이를 발견할 수 없었다. 5) 정보 감지능력 검사에서는 대상군이 두 대조군에 비해 정답반응과 오답반응을 보이기까지 걸린 평균 시간이 유의하게 길었다. 이상의 연구결과를 통해 저자들은 정신분열병의 발병 위험성이 높은 정신분열병 환자의 자녀군이 알코올 의존증 환자의 자녀군이나 정신과학적으로 건강한 부모를 둔 대조군보다 지속적 주의력에서 결손이 있음을 발견하였고 나아가 이와 같은 지속적 주의력에서의 결손이 정신분열병의 한 가능한 취약지표가 될 수 있을 것으로 사료된다. In order to study the possible vulnerability in the markers of schizophrenia, offsprings of the schizophrenic parents(n=28), offsprings of the alcohol dependent parents(n=18), and offsprings of the psychiatrically normal persons(n=41) were examined for their sustained attention and sensory register by means of Continuous performance test(CPT) and Span apprehension task(SPAN) respectively. The results were as follows : 1) The offsprings of the schizophrenic parents showed a significant deficit in the sustained attention as manifested in the data of CPT by significantly lower hit rate and sensitivity, compared with the offsprings of the alcohol dependent parents and those of the psychiatrically normal persons. No difference was evident in the false alarm rate and response bias among three groups. There was no difference in all variables of the CPT between the offsprings of the alcohol dependent parents and those of the psychiatrically normal persons. 2) The deficit in the sustained attention as revealed by lower hit rate and sensitivity was not apparent in the first part of the CPT. However it emerged and aggravated itself as the test continued in the offsprings of the schizophrenic parents only. 3) Proportion of subjects falling in the extreme low sensitivity of lower 10% of the normal controls was significantly higher in the offsprings of the schizophrenic parent group as compared with the offsprings of the alcohol dependent parents and those of the psychiatrically normal persons with a rate of 29%, 17%, and 10% respectively. 4) No significant difference was noted in all variables of MMPI among normal controls, index group, and the extreme low CPT sensitivity subgroup of index group. 5) The offsprings of the schizophrenic parents showed a significantly delayed response in the time to correct and incorrect response in SPAN compared to the offsprings of the alcohol dependent parents and those of the psychiatrically normal persons. No difference was evident in the number of correct response, number of incorrect response, and number of no response among three groups. There was no difference in all variables of the SPAN between the offsprings of the alcohol dependent parents and those of the psychiatrically normal persons. These results suggest that a subgroup of the offsprings of schizophrenic parents may suffer from the deficit in the sustained attention which may be a vulnerability marker of schizophrenia.

        L-라이신 발효에 있어서 당밀전처리의 영향

        Can molasses, the most widely used carbon source for the industrial fermentation of L-lysine, usually contains a high concentration of calcium ions which tend to cause scaling problem in the recovery process. To remove the calcium ions, cane molasses was pretreated with sulfuric acid by adjusting the pH to 2.5~3.5. When the pretreated solution was directly heat-sterilized and used in the fermentation, a significant reduction in L-lysine production was observed. In this paper, we proved that sucrose is a superior substrate for L-lysine fermentation of that of glucose or fructose and that the above-mentioned decrease of L-lysine production was caused by the hydrolysis of sucrose in the molasses when the molasses was heat-sterilized at a low pH. The problem was overcome by adjusting the pH of molasses to neutral before sterilization.
