Case Reports of Acute Transverse Myelitis Associated With mRNA Vaccine for COVID-19

Acute transverse myelitis (ATM) has been reported as rare complication of vaccination. Herein, we report 2 cases of ATM after the administration of an mRNA vaccine for coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). The first one is an 81-year-old man who received the BNT162b2 vaccine. He presented with bilateral hand weakness. Spine magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) showed high signal intensity from the C1 to C3 vertebrae. The second is a 23-year-old woman who received the BNT162b2 vaccine and experienced tingling in her legs. Spine MRI showed a high signal intensity lesion at the conus medullaris. These patients were treated with intravenous methylprednisolone and their symptoms improved slightly. Careful follow-up is needed to identify adverse events after the administration of mRNA vaccines for COVID-19.

Internet of things (IoT) is the ICT technology that recently has been on the rise in domestic and in global. The IoT is expected to be a future growth engine by grafting ICT technology to traditional industry. The most important matter for internet of things to grow as successful business is incubating professional man power. The course of Informatics subject in middle school can t hold a candle to the field. And the course of school is not systematic. Thus, it is continue a problem that human power production not be applied to the field and computational thinking ability. Thus, this study is to suggest how to design systematic education programs for internet of things and to operate those programs in efficient. In this paper, proposed an effective training courses in middle school by introducing the physical computing education course and the IoT program. The system proposed in this paper will be available in an IoT specialized manpower training and a SW education.

<P>A new fluoro-chromogenic chemosensor based on BODIPY-functionalized Fe(3)O(4)@SiO(2) core/shell nanoparticles 1 has been prepared. Chemosensor 1 exhibits a high affinity and selectivity for Pb(2+) over competing metal ions tested. Moreover, confocal microscopy, and flow cytometry experiments established that 1 can be used for detecting Pb(2+) levels within living cell.</P>

The rare cause of lower gastrointestinal bleeding is angiodysplasia. Angiolysplasia is most common in the right colon, but it can be found throughout the whole gastrointestinal tract. The main lesion of angiodysplasia is located at the submucosal layer. So, it is sometimes very difficult to search for the focus of bleeding via laparotomy or colonoscopy. We recently experienced a case of rectal arteriovenous malformation that was misdiagnosed as intussusception. A 57-year-old man visited the emergency room because of abrupt anal bleeding and low abdominal pain, and this was the third episode he’d experienced during the past 20 years. Sigmoidoscopy and abdominal CT revealed that his rectum was obstructed with a dark black colotuberant mass, which was suggestive of ischemic intussusception. We performed emergency laparotomy and we found an extremely swollen rectum with surrounding hematoma instead of intussusception. We performed low anterior resection and colo-anal anastomosis with ileostomy. The final pathologic diagnosis showed that the protuberant mass was a hematoma in the submucosal layer, and this developed by bleeding from an arteriovenous malformation in the rectum.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the teaching method of academic writing in Informatics & Computer education using E-class. E-class system as a Learning Management System(LMS) can be used as a teaching and learning assisting tool to simulate classroom teaching and learning, interaction, and feedback. Therefore, this paper will examine professor and students s actual utilization, preferences, and perspectives on E-class, which is a kind of LMS. Also, this paper will suggest education implications and suggestions of teaching method of academic writing in Informatics & Computer education. The results are as follows : 1) Before the class, E-class has provide class syllabus and public notice management service with professor, which can be noticed before getting in class for students. 2) During the class, class attendance, learning materials for teaching, homeworks, and e-testing service are the good assisting tools for professor in class. 3) After the class, it has class survey and evaluation service management can help professor to feedback the next class based on the class activities. Based on the findings above, some educational implications and suggestions were made for the improvement of E-class as a learning assist tool on class and about how to use E-class for academic writing class teaching and learning.

최근 인터넷을 중심으로 한 첨단 기술 산업이 발달함에 따라 고성능 트랜잭션 처리가 요구되고, XML 관련 기술들 역시 확대 적용되고 있다. 이에 따라 디스크 기반 DBMS 의 한계를 극복하고, 점차 사용 범위가 확대되고 있는 XML 기술을 지원하기 위한 시스템의 필요성이 대두되고 있다. 기존의 XML 저장 방법은 대부분 XML DOM 구조 정보만을 저장하는 것이었으나, 이 방법은 XQuery를 처리하는 속도면에 한계가 있었다. 본 논문에서는 이 점을 해결하기 위해 2 중의 인덱스 구조를 두어, XQuery 처리 속도를 향상시킬 수 있는 주기억 상주형 XML DBMS 의 저장 구조를 설계 한다.
