Excretory urography is a type of contrast study used to verify and localize upper urinary tract disease. It is an inexpensive and easy way to visualize of anatomic and functional status of the kidney and has been used as a primary imaging modality for the evaluation of urinary tract abnormalities. We describe urological signs of 7 dogs who examined with excretory urography and ultrasonography. Six cases were referred to veterinary medical teaching hospital. Chungnam national university (VMTH, CNU) to evaluate renal function after the treatment for renal failure and one case was referred showing hematuria. In case 1, 2 and 4, blood test and urinalysis was normal and the results of excretory urography presented that renal function were normal range. In case 3, the results of urinalysis, ultrasonography, and excretory urography except blood test presented abnormal kidney and hydronephrosis was diagnosed. In case 5 and 6, blood test, urinalysis, ultrasonography and excretory urography indicated renal failure. In case 7, blood test, urinalysis and ultrasonography presented partially abnormal signs, however, the results of excretory urography was normal range.
김치에서 분리한 Lactobacillus sp. JC-7과 Lactobacillus acidophilus 88간의 Electrofusion 최적조건 설정

김치 발효 숙성기간을 연장하고 신선도를 오랫동안 유지 할 수 있는 김치발효 starter의 개발을 목적으로 최적숙성기에 있는 김치로부터 bacteriocin생성능이 없는 유산균을 분리하여 동정하였으며, bacteriocin생성능이 우수한 L.acidophilus 88을 융합시키기 위해 electrofusion에 대한 최적 조건을 검토하였다. 분리균주는 Lactobacillus속으로 동정되어 Lactobacillus sp. JC-7이라 명명하였다. Electrofusion에 의해 생성된 융합주를 식별하기 위해 streptomycin(2.5㎎/ml)에 내성을 나타내는 Lactobacillus sp. JC-7변이주와 kanamycin(600㎍/ml)에 내성을 나타내는 L.acidophilus 88변이주를 분리하였다. Electrofusion을 100V/㎝, 120msec(72ohms,1670 capacitance) 에서 수행했을 때 융합효율이 가장 양호하였으며 전기장의 세기와 시간이 중가할수록 융합 효율이 현저히 감소하였다. 2가 양이온은 농도가 중가할수록 대체적으로 융합효율을 감소시키는 경향을 나타내었으나 1mM MGCl_2에서는 대조군에 비해 융합효율이 약간 증가하였다. PEG매개에 의한 융합법의 융합효율을 비교한 결과, 융합효율은 chemical fusion<electrofusion<electrofusion+20% PEG순을 나타내었다. Evaluation of Optimum Conditions for the Electrofusion between Lactobacillus sp. JC-7 Isolated from Kimchi and Lactobacillus acidophilus 88. Young-Bae Jo, Hyun-Jung Choi, Hyung-Suk Baik and Hong-Ki Jun*. Department of Microbiology, Pusan National University, Pusan 609-735,Korea-A lactic acid bacterium was isolated from kimchi. The isolated strain was identified as the genus Lactobacillus thrugh its morphological characteristics and named as Lactobacillus sp. JC-7. The optimum conditions for the electrofusion between streptomycin(2.5㎎/ml)resistant mutant of Lactobacillus acidophilus 88 and kanamycin(600㎍/ml) resistant mutant Lactobacillus sp. JC-7 were evaluated. The highest number of fusants were obtained at a capacitance value of 120msec(1670㎌), a field strength of 100V/㎝,and a pulse controller setting of 72Ω. The potimum pH of elecroporation buffer was 7.5 and the concentration of divalent cation was 1mM MG^2+. Electrofusants were efficiently obtained by addition 20% polyethylene glycol to electroporation buffer. The yield of fusion was better than that of using polyethylene glycol mediated chemical induction.
상악 영구 중철지의 외상성 치근파절 : 증례보고 A CASE REPORT

청소년기에는 두개악안면부위의 외상성 손상이 흔하다. 그러나 상아질, 백아질, 치수를 포함하는 치아파절로 정의되는 치근파절은 비교적 드물다. 치근파절에 대하여 취할 수 있는 적절한 조치는 파절편의 치관부위를 재위치시키고, 2∼3달간 레진강선 고정술을 시행하는 것이다. 치수과사나 치근흡수의 징후가 나타날때까지 근관치료를 보류해야 하는데 대부분의 증례에서 파절편의 치근부위는 그 생활력을 유지하기 때문이다. 본 증례의 10세 4개월된 남아는 상악영구중절치의 치근파절을 주소로 연세대학교 치과병원에 내원하엿으며, 그후 7년동안 동일부위에 2번의 반복적인 외상이 있었으나 파절편 치관부의 재위치, 레진 강선 고정술, 근관치료 시행 후 임상적으로 방사선학적으로 비교적 양호한 치료결과를 얻었기에 보고하는 바이다. Traumatic injuries in the young permanent dentition are common, but root fractures, defined as fractures in volving dentin, cementum and pulp, are relatively uncommon. Appropriate management of root fracture involves repositioning the coronal portion of the tooth fragment and firm immobilization with a splint for 2 to 3 month. Root canal treatment should not be initiated until the sign of necrosis or resorption are apparent because in most cases, the apical fragments maintain their vitality. The following case report describes a patient with root fractures injured three times over the period of 7 years. The results, clinically and radiographically, were acceptable, but term periodic evaluation is required.

치아 매복은 구강점막이나 악골내에서 치아의 맹출이 중지된 상태를 의미하며, 제 3구대구치와 상악 견치에서 호발한다. 상악 견치의 매복은 주로 측절치가 상실되거나 왜소한 경우와 연관성이 높지만 치배의 위치 이상과 같이 유전적인 요소와도 관련될 수 있다. 매복치는 심미적, 기능적으로 여러 가지 문제점을 야기하므로 조기에 진단하여 치료하는 것이 중요하며, 매복치의 상태에 따라서 치료 방법을 적절하게 선택하여야 한다. 본 증례는 11세 여아에서 구개측으로 수평 매복된 상악 우측 견치의 치료를 보고한 것으로, 매복치는 외과적 수술을 동반한 교정적 견인 방법을 사용하여 기능적, 심미적으로 회복되었다. 견인 치료는 매복 견치의 맹출 공간을 확보하면서 이루어졌으며, 치료 종료 후 매복 견치는 치근 흡수와 같은 합병증 없이 적절한 부착치은을 확보하여 양호하게 위치되었다. Tooth impaction is defined as a cessation of the eruption of a tooth at the level of the oral mucosa or alveolar bone. Maxillary canines are the most frequently impacted teeth next to the third molar. Maxillary canine impaction is associated with congenital missing of lateral incisors, peg lateralis and genetic factors such as ectopic positioning of a tooth germ. The clinicians have an important role in early detectionof tooth impaction for prevention of esthetic and functional problems. There are specific methods to treat impacted tooth for different conditions. In this case, an 11-year-old girl with a horizontally impacted maxillary right canine in a palatal position was treated through orthodontic traction along with surgical button attachment procedure. On regaining of eruption space, canine traction was performed. At the completion of treatment, the canine was positioned fairly within the arch with proper keratinized gingiva and complications such as root resorption were not observed.

Hypereosinophilic syndrome is characterized by persistent blood eosinophilia of 1,500/ul or more in the absence of known causes and multiorgan dysfunction by eosinophil-related tissue damage. In Korea, some cases of hypereosinophilic syndrome with hepatic involvement have been described with prolonged benign clinical courses. Most of them were diffuse or multifocal lesions in imaging studies, and a few case presenting as a single mass has been described. Here we report a case of hypereosinophilic syndrome with hepatic involvement in a 65-year-old man who presented with multifocal mass lesions. By abdominal US and CT scan, multiple, ill-defined nodules were detected in throughout the liver. Liver biopsy revealed severe eosinophilic hepatitis, suggestive of hypereosinophilic syndrome. Hepatic mass lesions improved after steroid administration for several weeks.
Open-face Stainless Steel Crown을 이용한 유전치의 치료에 대한 증례보고

In spite of the improvements of the techniques in the field of preventive dentistry, many children still present with extensive destruction of primary anterior teeth. Not only the practioner must consider the pulp state of the primary incisor, but also restore the form, function and esthetics of the tooth. Restorative treatment of primary incisor tooth requires durability, retention and esthetics. Stainless steel crowns used in restoring primary anterior teeth is retentive and durable in comparison with the composite resin, celluloid crown. But they are not esthetic. To enhance the esthetics of the anterior stainless steel crown without reducing its superior retention, an open-face stainless steel crown has been suggested. Several authors have suggested cutting away the labial portion of the stainless steel crown and placing the composite resin in that area. By following this technique, the practioner can prepare a retentive, durable, and esthetic restoration for primary teeth which have suffered from extensive loss of teeth structure. In addition, the single missing primary anterior teeth can be successfully restored by soldering the stainless steel crown together. Open-face stainless steel crown is indicated in the areas of large interproximal lesions involving incisal edge, crown fracture with pulp exposure and congenital malformation of the teeth. By this technique, the practioner can restore primary anterior teeth successfully regardless of the amount of remaining tooth structure, bruxism habit and presence of attrition. In this case, rampant caries with extensive loss of tooth structure and single missing of primary anterior tooth hart been successfully treated with open-face stainless steel crown.

건물이 고령화됨에 따라 건물이 갖는 내구성, 안전성, 기능성 등 기본성능의 저하와 건물을 구성하는 각 구성부위의 결함상태에 의해 건물전체가 기대하는 성능을 발휘하지 못하게 된다. 따라서 시간의 경과에 따라 발생하는 마모나 기능저하 등의 상태를 수시로 체크할 수 있는 일정한 형식을 지닌 체크리스트의 확립이 필요하다. 이에 본 연구에서는 관리대상시설 전반의 신속한 노후도 상황파악을 위해 시설관리대장 및 보수공사 이력표, 관리자 및 전문가에 의 한 체크리스트(시설점검카드) 작성방안을 제시하고 있다. As time goes on, the total performance of buildings is on the decrease in the point of durability, safety and function. Therefore, it is needed to establish the official building condition checklist to prevent the building from its superannuation and disorder. Thus the study aims to provide the evaluation method based on building maintenance reports and opinions of professionals to check rapidly the degree of superannuation of facilities.
아르곤 레이저를 이용한 광중합 수복재의 물리적 성질에 관한 연구

The purpose of this study is to evaluate and compare the results of argon laser for 5 seconds, argon laser for 10 seconds, and visible light for 40 seconds photo-polyerization in compressive strength, microhardness, curing depth, temperature rising during polymerization, and polymerization shrinkage. Hybrid type composite resin(Z-100) and compomer (Dyract) were used to be compared. The compressive strength was measured by an Instron (1mm/min cross head speed) in 60 specimens and the microhardness of the surface was expressed by Vickers Hardness Number (VHN) in 30 specimens. The curing depth was evaluated comparing the different values of upeer and lower VHN according to irradiation time and thickness for the light sourece polymeriaztion in 60 specimens. the temperature rising during photopolymerization was observed by the temperature change with thermocouple sensitizer beneath 40 specimens at th argon laser for 10 seconds and visible light 40 seconds irradiation. the polymerization shinkage was evaluated by calculating the decrease of % volume by using a dilatometer in 30 specimens. The results were as follows : 1. In the case of compressive strength, the argon laser polymerization groups were higher than visible light group in Z-100 (p<0.05). In Dyract, the argon laser 5 seconds group did not show a significant difference with the visible light 40 seconds group. The argon laser 10 seconds group showed the markedly low value when compared with other g개ups (p<0.05) 2. In micriohardness, Z-100 was better than Dyract when comparing by VHNs(p<0.05) ; however, there was not a significant difference between two materials in the visible light 40 seconds group and the argon laser 10 seconds groups. 3. In the study of curing depth, Z-100 showed the consistent polymerization in argon laser irradiation because there was no difference in the VHN decrease according to the thickness change. Over the thickness control, the results did not show a significant difference between visible light and argon laser group in Z-100 ; however, in the case of Dyrct, the visible light 40 seconds group was better than the argon laser groups(p<0.05). 4. There was a significant difference between the two materials in temperature rising during polymerization (p<0.05), but not a significant difference between irradiation times. 5. There was not a significant difference between the two materials in polymerization shrink-age. The argon laser 5 seconds group was smaller than the other groups (p<0.05). It could be concluded that z-100 polymerization was recommended to use the argon laser for reduction of the irradiation time while Dyract was recommended to use the visible light polymerization.

Surgical removal of impacted mesiodens can be performed easily when exact position of mesiodens is identified. This case report is argued about methodological approach of exact antero-posterior postioning of mesiodens using conventional cross-sectional occlusal film and periapical film. The author concludes, 1. Among various methods of positioning mesiodens, exact position of mesiodens can be determined with occlusal film and periapical film. 2. On operation, exact antero-posterior position of mesiodens can be determined with comparing occlusal images of adjacent teeth and anatomic structure to real ones. 3. It is important that exact removal course of mesiodens has to be determined in addition to exact determination of one's position, and that it has to be determined in regard to position, morphological basis, direction of impacted pattern of mesiodens and adjacent anatomic structure. 4. In 2 cases presented, both are mesiodens of inverted conical type, and impacted direction are class Ⅰ and Ⅲ respectively according to classification author suggested, and surgery can be performed with ease by different approach directions.
