For large capacity optical CDMA networks, we propose a shared-type encoder/decoder based on an tunable wavelength conveter (TWC) and an arrayed waveguide grating (AWG) router. Feasibility of the structure of the proposed encoder/decoder for dynamic code allocation is tested through simulations using three types of wavelength/time 2-D codes, which are the generalized multi-wavelength prime code(GMWPC), the generalized multi-wavelength Reed-Solomon code(GMWRSC) and the matrix code. Test results show that the proposed encoder/decoder can increase the channel efficiency not only by increasing the number of simultaneous users without any multiple-access interference but by using a relatively short length CDMA codes.

A new classification system with 9 main categories and 56 subcategories for the Open Korean Knowledge Dictionary is proposed. The classification system setup is to prepare for the standard classification system to be used to manage effectively vast of terminologies which were published in the Open Korean Knowledge Dictionary and is meant to enhance the fifteen-year old classification system for the standard korean great dictionary to match up to the trend of the modern terminology. The new terminology classification system covering all the academic areas such as humanity, sociology, politics, science, medicine, agriculture, engineering, etc, is designed and proposed after investigating several classification systems. The classification system setup procedures follow as ? The classification system is designed and planed by both the classification system and the academic expert. ? Classification system design covers all the academic areas following National Science and Technology standard classification system after investigating several classification systems such as the National Research Foundation, National Science and Technology Standard Act, Ministry of Knowledge Economy. ? Poll and survey is made to collect comments from total 93 members of several academic areas. ? The poll result is reviewed among working group members and utilized to update the new terminology classification system. Reclassifications are made for the around 200,000 terms in electricity, computer, medicine, pharmacy, biology, and economics according to the new terminology classification system.
New Encoder/Decoder with Wavelength/Time 2-D Codes for Optical CDMA Network

We propose a new encoder/decoders based on an tuneable wavelength converter (TWC) and an arrayed waveguide grating (AWG) router for large capacity optical CDMA networks. The proposed encoder/decoder treats codewords of wavelength/time 2-D code simultaneously using the dynamic code allocation property of the TWC and the cyclic property of the AWG router, and multiple subscribers can share the encoder/decoder in networks. We propose a new technique for sidelobe suppression in orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) systems. Sidelobe suppression is an essential technique to design OFDM based overlay system. The proposed technique is based on the combination of the multiple choice sequence (MCS) with the conventional windowing of OFDM signal in time domain. The MCS is choosing the one sequence which has lowest power in sidelobes from the produced set of sequences. The main advantage of proposed technique is that it fully utilizes the available bandwidth to transmit data. Simulation results show that by combining MCS with conventional windowing technique, the sidelobes in OFDM system can be significantly reduced.

This paper describes the process of writing and registering more than 20,000 standardized IEV Korean terms in the IEC Electropedia in February 2018. We have utilized the experience of constructing a total of 90,000 words in electrical, communication, and computer fields in standard dictionary of electrical and electronic terms, dictionary of smart grid and NIKL opendictionary. The Korean version of the Electropedia terms was constructed using the writing instructions provided by IEC TC 1 for Korean terms and the additional writing instructions prepared in compliance with technical terms and abbreviations in the NIKL opendictionary. More than 20,000 Korean terms provided to IEC are utilized as the technical term standard DB of Korea electric and electronic field and the DB for creating standard (draft) in COSD and national and international standard contribution documents of new industry, respectively.
Sidelobe Suppression Technique in OFDM System Based on Phase Optimization of Subcarriers

We propose a phase optimization technique for sidelobe suppression in OFDM system. The technique is based on idea that phase shift to some of the transmit symbols within the symbol constellation plane can lead to significant sidelobe suppression. The sidelobes are reduced by optimizing using iterative method the phases of some subcarriers on the left and right hand side of the used OFDM spectrum. The proposed technique requires a small amount of side information that needs to be transmitted. Simulation results show that the proposed technique can reduce the sidelobes by significant amount.
Frequency Offset Estimation Technique for MB-OFDM Based UWB Systems

We propose a new frequency offset estimation technique for multiband orthogonal frequency modulation (MB-OFDM) based ultra wideband (UWB) systems. The proposed frequency offset estimation technique is related to the scheme of Schmidl for channel model 1 (4-1Om NLOS, rms. delay =14.3㎱.) using more than two symbols and with alternate symbols. Variance of frequency offset estimate obtained from the proposed frequency offset estimation technique approaches very nearing to Cramer Rao Lower Bound (CRLB) in an AWGN channel. BER performance of the proposed technique is also presented.
