구조물의 하중은 기초지반에 의해 지지된다. 그러나, 기초지반이 지하수의 침투 등에 의해 강도가 저하되거나 구조물의 증축에 의해 지지력이 부족할 경우가 발생한다. 이러한 경우 지반을 보강하기 위해 지반개량 공법이 적용된다. 지반개량 공법 중 네일링 공법은 시공이 간편하고 경제적이며 지반의 인장강도를 증가시키는 역학적 장점 등이 잇어 앞으로 널리 사용될 수 있는 공법이다. 본 연구에서는 네일을 이용하여 기초지반을 보강하여 지반의 강성을 높이고 지반의 지지력을 증대시켜서 구조물의 침하를 억제하는 역학적 기구를 규명하기 위해서 실내모형실험을 실시하였다. 본 연구의 목적은 시래모형실험을 통하여, 기초지반 보강용 네일의 설치 각도, 길이, 배치 간격의 변화에 따른 지지력 증대 효과 및 침하억제효과를 분석하여, 최적의 보강방법을 결정하는 것이다. The loads of structure are supported by foundation ground. But the bearing capacity will be able to be lacked by the decrease of ground strength by seepage of ground water or by the extension work of building. In this case, ground improvement method can be applied to increase the ground strength. Among ground improvement methods, nailing method will be used in the future widely, because of its simplicit, economical and mechanical merits of increasing tensile strength on ground. In this study, laboratory model tests are made in order to analyze the effect of ground improvement by nailing method. The final purposes of this study are as follows; (1) The effect of bearing capacity increasing by nails. Especially, the effects of distance, length and angle of nails. The paper presents the identification of dynamic property of a rotor system with a squeeze film damper (SFD) using magnetic fluid. An electromagnet Is installed in the inner damper of the SFD. The magnetic fluid is well known as a functional fluid. Its rheological property can be changed by controlling the applied current to the fluid and the fluid can be used as lubricant. Basically, the proposed SFD has the characteristics of a conventional SFD without an applied current, while the damping and stiffness Properties change according to the variation of the applied electric current. Therefore, when the applied current is changed, the whirling vibration of the rotor system can be effectively reduced. The clustering-based hybrid evolutionary algorithm (CHEA) is used to identify linear stiffness and damping coefficients of the SFD based on measured unbalance responses.

Encephalomyocarditis(EMC) virus was isolated from the mummified and stillborn pigs at a swine farm in Chonnam Province, experienced with EMC infection over the period Oct.~Dec. of 1989. In addition some cultural, serological properties of the isolates and experimental infections in the piglets were studied. The results obtained were as follows; 1. Two EMC virus strains with HA titers and CPE similar to EMC-ATCC were established in a baby hamster kidney (BHK)-21 cell line by inoculating homogenates of brain and heart of the 19 mummified or stillborn pigs and designated $K_3$ and $K_{11}$. 2. At the second BHK-21 cell line passage of the initial isolates CPE appeared after incubation for 16~18 hours, while at the fourth and fifth passage the highest titer of HA was recorded, titer of HA using rat and guinea pig erythrocytes. 3. One pig inoculated with the isolate $K_3$ showed dyspnea as clinical signs and died at the 10 days after inoculation at necropsy white necrotic foci were observed from the dead animal heart. 4. Although all the rest surviving pigs showed increases in antibody titer and body temperature of $40^{\circ}C$ above for the initial 2~4 days followed by the return to normal, there were no gross lesions when the animals were sacrificed at the 2 weeks after inoculation.
Establishment of Cryopreservation of Leopard Cat Semen Collected by Electro-ejaculation Method

The aim of this study was to evaluate the post-thawed characteristics of leopard cat semen. In this experiment, semen was collected from two leopard cats (A and B) at wild animal center in Seoul Grand Park in Korea. After collection, the sperms were washed with D-PBS and diluted by the freezing medium (Irvine science, USA) and stored in liquid nitrogen. The post-thawed concentration was for A and for B. The viability of post-thawed sperm from A and B individual was 24.0% and 19.0%, respectively. Pre-freezing motility of A and B individual semen was 68.54% and 56.65. Leopard cat A had more normal sperm than that of B (69.5% vs. 54.5%). Acrosome integrity analysis detected live (14.5% vs. 9.0%), damage (39.0% vs. 44.0%) and dead (46.0% vs. 47.0%) in leopard cat A and B, respectively. The present results concluded that leopard cat semen can be collected successfully by electro-ejaculation method and cryopreserved successfullyfor future use in different assisted reproductive technologies. The cryopreservation protocol needs to be modified for increasing post-thawed viability of leopard cat spermatozoa.

<P>Systemic inflammatory response syndrome (SIRS) is a serious condition that can cause organ failure as an exaggerated immunoresponse to the infection or other causes. Recently, autophagy was reported as a key process that regulates inflammatory responses in macrophages. Vancomycin is one of the most commonly prescribed antibiotics for sepsis treatment or following surgery. However, there are no studies on how vancomycin affects autophagy or inflammation. Here, we treated macrophage cell lines with vancomycin and lipopolysaccharides and found that vancomycin blocks autophagy and increases inflammatory responses. This finding suggests that vancomycin should be more cautiously administered in order to prevent unwanted SIRS during sepsis.</P>
Enhanced Oral Bioavailability of Ibuprofen in Rats by Poloxamer Gel Using Poloxamer 188 and Menthol

<P>To improve the oral bioavailability of poorly water-soluble ibuprofen with poloxamer and menthol, the effects of menthol and poloxamer 188 on the aqueous solubility of ibuprofen were investigated. The dissolution and pharmacokinetic study of ibuprofen delivered by the ibuprofen-loaded preparations composed of poloxamer 188 and menthol were then performed. In the absence of poloxamer, the solubility of ibuprofen increased until the ratio of menthol to ibuprofen increased from 0:10 to 4:6 followed by an abrupt decrease in solubility above the ratio of 4:6, indicating that four parts menthol formed eutectic mixture with six parts ibuprofen. In the presence of poloxamer, the solutions with the same ratio of menthol to ibuprofen showed an abrupt increase in the solubility of ibuprofen. The poloxamer gel with menthol/ibuprofen ratio of 1:9 and higher than 15% poloxamer 188 showed the maximum solubility of ibuprofen, 1.2 mg/mL. The simultaneous addition of menthol and poloxamer 188 significantly improved the dissolution rates of ibuprofen from aqueous solution due to the ibuprofen solubility-improving effect of menthol in the presence of poloxamer. Furthermore, the ibuprofen-loaded preparation with menthol and poloxamer 188 gave significantly higher initial plasma concentrations, Cmax, and AUC of ibuprofen than did the preparation without menthol and poloxamer 188, indicating that the simultaneous addition of menthol and poloxamer 188 could improve the oral bioavailability of ibuprofen in rats. In modern pain management it is always desirable for the ibuprofen-loaded preparation with poloxamer 188 and menthol to show a rapid onset of action with a minimal phase of lag time to feel the decreased pain. From an industry point of view, it is more desirable for a formulation to be fast acting, easy to use, and cost effective. Thus, the ibuprofen-loaded preparation with poloxamer 188 and menthol was a more effective oral dosage form for poorly water-soluble ibuprofen.</P>
작물인식 인공지능모델 학습을 위한 효과적인 토마토 분할 Annotation 방식 비교

농업인구 감소 추세와 고령화로 인한 노동력 부족을 해결하기 위해 농업에 인공지능을 활용한 자동화 연구가 주목되고 있다. 특히, 인공지능을 활용한 작물 인식연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 한편, 농작물 데이터는 환경의 영향을 많이 받기 때문에 Annotation 방식에 따라 모델의 정확도에 큰 영향을 끼친다. 따라서, 본 연구에서는 효과적인 토마토 영상의 Annotation 방식을 규명하기 위해 두 가지 Annotation 방식으로 라벨링된 데이터 셋을 각각 학습하고 정확도를 비교하였다. 토마토 영상은 국립농업과학원(Wanju, Korea)의 첨단온실에서 취득하였다. 영상 데이터는 RGB-D 카메라(D435, Intel, CA, USA)를 활용하여 취득하였으며, 총 269장의 영상에 1,990개의 과실 정보가 포함된다. Annotation 방식은 다음과 같다. 첫 번째 방식은 영상에 노출 되어있는 토마토만을 Annotation하는 방식으로, 폐색으로 인해 육안으로 볼 수 없는 부분을 제외한 가시적으로 확인할 수 있는 토마토의 부분만 Annotation하는 방식이다. 두 번째 방식은 영상에 노출 되어있는 토마토에 폐색이 있는 경우, 작업자의 주관적인 판단에 따라 폐색 뒤의 토마토 과형을 예측하여 Annotation하는 방식이다. 앞의 두 가지 방식으로 만들어진 데이터 셋은 YOLACT 알고리즘을 통해 각각 학습되었으며, Epoch과 Batch size 및 학습율은 각각 300, 16, 0.001로 설정되었다. 그 결과, 두 가지 학습방식에서 Total Loss의 최종 수렴 값은 각각 1.0616 및 1.0728로 확인되었다. 이처럼 두 방식 모두 Total Loss 값이 높은 이유는 데이터 수가 부족하기 때문으로 사료된다. 따라서 향후에는 더 많은 데이터를 확보하여 인식 모델의 정확도를 향상시키기 위한 연구를 진행할 계획이다.
