        이상정 장군의 육필 유고 『표박기(飄泊記)』 분석

        글은 이상정의 생애와 업적을 살펴보고, 그가 남긴 유고집의 의미와 사료적 가치를 조망하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 자료의 한계로 인해 그 전모 전체를 밝히기에는 어려움이 있지만 본 논의의 의미는 다음과 같이 정리할 수 있다. 이상정의 조국 독립군으로서의 활동을 살펴볼 수 있었고, 우리나라 최초의 여유 비행사였던 권기옥의 독립투쟁사를 밝힐 수 있었다. 뿐만 아니라 동북아시아 특히 한・중의 과거 관계를 알 수 있는 역사 사료로서의 가치를 발견할 수 있었다. 우리나라 고대사의 흐름을 제대로 이해하기 위해서는 동북 지역사에 대한 새로운 인식이 필요하다. 책의 내용을 보면 중국 동북삼성뿐만 아니라 곳곳의 유적지를 답사하며 고적과 유물의 역사와 유래에 대한 글을 남기고 있기 때문이다. 또한 『개벽(開闢)』 잡지 등에 그가 남긴 여러 편의 시조를 살펴보면 문예가로서의 면모도 발견할 수 있는데, 유고집에 남긴 이러한 글들은 문예집으로서도 가치를 지닌다고 할 수 있다. The purpose of this paper is to examine the life and achievements of General Lee Sang-jeong and identify the meaning and historical value of posthumous collection he left. Although there are difficulties in clarifying the full account due to the limitations of data, the significance of this paper can be summarized as follows. It could examine the activities of General Lee Sang-jeong as an army for national independence, and clarify the struggles for independence by Kwon Ki-ok, the first female pilot in Korea. Moreover, this paper could discover values as a historical record to know the past relationship in Northeast Asia, especially Korea and China. It is necessary to have a new recognition of the regional history of Northeast Asia to properly understand the flow of the ancient Korean history. By exploring historical sites in the 3 provinces of Northeast China as well as various places, the book leaves many writings about the history and origins of historical remains and sites, whose quality surpasses that of the writings by renowned, excellent historical scholars. Also, several sijo (Korean traditional three-verse Korean poems) in magazines such as ‘Gaebyeok’ show General Lee Sang-jeong’s talent as a literary artist, indicating the significant value of the pieces he left in his posthumous collection as a literary collection.

        Effect of Strain Aging on Tensile Behavior and Properties of API X60, X70, and X80 Pipeline Steels

        The effect of strain aging on tensile behavior and properties of API X60, X70, and X80 pipeline steels was investigated inthis study. The API X60, X70, and X80 pipeline steels were fabricated by varying alloying elements and thermomechanicalprocessing conditions. Although all the steels exhibited complex microstructure consisting of polygonal ferrite (PF), acicularferrite, granular bainite (GB), bainitic ferrite (BF), and secondary phases, they had different fractions of microstructuresdepending on the alloying elements and thermomechanical processing conditions. The tensile test results revealed that yieldingbehavior steadily changed from continuous-type to discontinuous-type as aging temperature increases after 1% pre-strain. After pre-strain and thermal aging treatment in all the steels, the yield and tensile strengths, and yield ratio were increased,while the uniform elongation and work hardening exponent were decreased. In the case of the X80 steel, particularly, thedecrease in uniform elongation was relatively small due to many mobile dislocations in PF, and the increase in yield ratiowas the lowest because a large amount of harder microstructures such as GB, BF, and coarse secondary phases effectivelyenhanced work hardening.

        Background: The outcome of hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection after liver transplantation (LT) was improved by hepatitis B immunoglobulin (HBIG) and nucles(t)ide analogue (NUA). However, HBV recurrence after LT is critical because the recurrence is occasionally accompanied by a progressive destruction of graft and poor survival. The aims of this study were to investigate the significance HBV recurrence and identity factors associated with HBV recurrence. Methods: From October 1999 to February 2011, a total of 2684 consecutive LT recipients who underwent HBV-associated LT were retrospectively enrolled from 7 transplantation centers in Korea. Results: Prophylaxis regimens were HBIG monotherapy (67.7%) or a combination of HBIG with NUA (22.3%). The recurrence rate of HBV was 6.1% (164 recipients) during mean follow-up duration of 10.9 years. The median time from transplantation to recurrence was 2.1 years (0.1-7.9 years). Of the 1,071 patients with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) prior to LT, 155 patients (14.5%) had HCC recurrence after transplantation, and 48 patients (31.0%) had HBV recurrence. Of the 48 patients with recurrence of both HBV and HCC, 25 patients (52.1%) experienced HBV recurrence after HCC recurrence. In the multivariate analysis, pretransplant HCC, pretransplant HBV DNA above 5.5 log copies/mL was independent clinical factors influencing HBV recurrence after LT. The mortality rate among the recipients with HBV recurrence was 34.1% (56 recipients). Mean overall survival was 6.4 years in the HBV-recurrence group and 9.9 years in the HBV-nonrecurrence group (p<0.001). HBV recurrence was not an independent prognostic factor for overall survival. HCC recurrence was the most important factor for overall survival. Conclusions: The overall outcome of LT in HBV-related liver disease was excellent with the current prophylaxis regimen Choon Hyuck David Kwon,8 Suk-Koo Lee8 Pretransplant HBV DNA and HCC were important factors for HBV recurrence. HBV recurrence after LT did not significantly influence on the overall survival without combining of HCC recurrence.

        병와 이형상의 < 추록언문반절설 > 분석

        본고에서는 조선 후기의 경세유학자의 한 사람인 병와 이형상이 숙종42(1716)년에 쓴 필사본 『갱영록』 9권 가운데 권2 『자학제강』에 실린 < 추록언문반절설(追錄諺文反切說) >을 중심으로 한글 명칭, 한글 초성 글자의 명칭, 자모 배열, 자모의 기원설, 오음과 오성의 기원과 편제에 대한 여러 가지학설을 검토하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이와 아울러 『자학제강』이라는 책의 편찬 년대에 대한 새로운 고증과 함께 역시 병와가 쓴 『악학편고』에 나타난 성운을 나타내는 종도의 칠음과 횡도의 사성에 대한 견해를 분석하였다. This study analyses the theory on the paradigm of a postscript Korean alphabets arranged as a syllabary, which is contained in 「Jahakjegang(Study on letters)」written by Lee Hyeong-sang who was one of the governing confucian scholars in the late period of Joseon Dynasty. It examines thoroughly various views on the names of Hangeul, the names of initial sound of letters, the letter arrangement, the origin of letters, and the composition of rhymes. Although it is actually such a very short writing, the theory on the paradigm of a postscript Korean alphabets arranged as a syllabary, it is considered very important because it contains theories on Hangeul of the governing confucian scholars in the late period of Joseon Dynasty.

        An Analytic Study on Laminar Film Condensation along the Interior Surface of a Cave-Shaped Cavity of a Flat Plate Heat Pipe

        An analytic approach has been employed to study condensate film thickness distribution inside cave-shaped cavity of a flat plate heat pipe. The results indicate that the condensate film thickness largely depends on mass flow rate and local velocity of condensate. The increasing rate of condensate film for circular region reveals about 50% higher value than that of vertical region. The physical properties of working fluid affect significantly the condensate film thickness, such as the condensate film thickness for the case of FC-40 are 5 times larger than that of water. In comparison with condensation on a vertical wall, the average heat transfer coefficient in the cave-shaped cavity presented 10∼15% lower values due to the fact that the average film thickness formed inside the cave-shaped cavity was larger than that of the vertical wall with an equivalent flow length. A correlation formula which is based on the condensate film analysis for the cave-shaped cavity to predict average heat transfer coefficient is presented. Also, the critical minimum fill charge ratio of working fluid based on condensate film analysis has been predicted, and the minimum fill charge ratios for FC-40 and water are about Ψ$\_$crit/=3∼7%, Ψ$\_$crit/=0.5∼1.3% respectively, in the range of heat flux q"=5∼90kW/㎡.

        Effects of Houttuynia cordata Extracts of Different Aerial Parts on Antioxidants and Anti-inflammatory

        The current study was carried out to determine the effects of the leaf and root of Houttuynia cordata Thunb on antioxidant and anti-inflammatory. Total polyphenol contents of leaf and root ethanol extracts were found to be 59.32 and 12.07 mg/g, respectively. Also, total flavonoid contents of leaf and root ethanol extracts were found to be 10.85 and 8.55 mg/g, respectively. The RC50 values of DPPH radical scavenging of leaf and root ethanol extracts were 23.51 and 154.72 μg/mL, respectively. The RC50 values of ABTS radical scavenging of leaf and root ethanol extracts were 35.42 and 233.89 μg/mL, respectively. The antioxidant activities in leaf ethanol extracts were higher in root. Also, to confirm anti-inflammatory activity of ethanol extract, we treat leaf and root of Houttuynia cordata Thunb extract on BV-2 cell with LPS. The NO inhibition effects in of Houttuynia cordata Thunb leaf ethanol extracts showed higher values compared with the root ethanol extracts. These results indicate that Houttuynia cordata Thunb ethanol extracts may play a positive role in antioxidant and anti-inflammatory.

        A Study of Institutional Status of Risk Management for Radiotherapy in Foreign Country

        With the development in field of industry and medicine, new machines and techniques are being launched. Moreover, the complexity of the techniques is associated to an increasing risk of incident. Especially, a small error in radiotherapy can lead to a serious patient-related incident, risk management is necessary in radiotherapy in order to reduce the risk of incident. However, in field of radiotherapy, there are no legally binding clauses for risk management and there is an absence of risk management systems at an institutional level. Therefore, we analyzed institutional status of risk management, reporting & classification systems, and risk assessment & analysis in 31 countries. For risk management and reporting systems, 65% of countries investigated had legislation or regulations; however, only 35% of countries used classification systems. It was found that 43% more countries had legislation for risk management in healthcare than those for radiotherapy; 19% more countries had reporting systems for healthcare than those for radiotherapy. For classification systems, 60% more countries had legislation, recommendation, and guidelines in the field of radiotherapy than those for healthcare. Recently, international institutes have published several reports for risk management and patient safety in radiotherapy, owing to which, countries adopting risk management for radiotherapy will gradually increase. Before adopting risk management in Korea, we should precisely understand the procedures and functions of risk management, in order to increase efficiency of risk management because classification & reporting system and risk assessment & analysis are connected organically, and institutional management is needed for high quality of risk management in Korea.

      • Fabrication and electric heating behavior of carbon thin films from water-soluble poly(vinyl alcohol) via simple dry and ambient stabilization and carbonization

        <P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>In this study, the development of electrically-heatable carbon thin films (CTFs) from water-soluble poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA) is described. CTFs are easily obtained by room-temperature and solid-state proton irradiation-induced stabilization of PVA thin films followed by carbonization at a high temperature. The results of the chemical, optical, and structural analyses reveal that polyene-network structures, enabling high-temperature dimensional stability, are effectively created in the PVA thin films by combined reactions of crosslinking and dehydration during proton irradiation; these structures are further converted to pseudo-graphitic CTFs by carbonization. The prepared CTFs exhibit the fluence and thickness-dependent electrical conductivity ranging from 0.8 × 10<SUP>2</SUP> to 2.63 × 10<SUP>2</SUP> S cm<SUP>−1</SUP>, and a very low surface roughness of below 0.41 nm. Moreover, the prepared CTFs show excellent electric-heating characteristics and the performance is clearly dependent on the thickness and fluence.
