Comparisons of callus formation ratios from seed explants, callus sizes, regeneration ratios from callus and regeneration efficiency for 4 orchardgrass (Dactylis glomerata L.) varieties (Three were developed in Korea and one was imported from foreign nation) are as follows; Jangbeol 102 (67.0%) has the highest callus formation ratio in 4 weeks incubated callus after bedding the seed explants, but Potomac (68.4%) has the highest ratio in 6-seek callus. Potomac (3.93cm) has the highest callus size in 4-week callus, but Jangbeol 101 (4.32cm) has the highest size in 6-week callus. Jangbeol 101 (17.7%) has the highest plant regeneration ratio in 4-week callus, but Potomac (37.4%) has the highest raion in 6-week callus. Jangbeol 102 (11.5%) has the highest plant regeneration efficiency in 4-week callus, but Potomac (25.6%) has the highest efficiency in 6-week callus.
Discarded Egg Yolk as an Alternate Source of Poly(3-Hydroxybutyrate-co-3-Hydroxyhexanoate)

Many poultry eggs are discarded worldwide because of infection (i.e., avian flu) or presence of high levels of pesticides. The possibility of adopting egg yolk as a source material to produce polyhydroxyalkanoate (PHA) biopolymer was examined in this study. Cupriavidus necator Re2133/pCB81 was used for the production of poly(3-hydroxybutyrate-co-3-hydroxyhexanoate) or poly(3HHx), a polymer that would normally require long-chain fatty acids as carbon feedstocks for the incorporation of 3HHx monomers. The optimal medium contained 5% egg yolk oil and ammonium nitrate as a nitrogen source, with a carbon/nitrogen (C/N) ratio of 20. Time course monitoring using the optimized medium was conducted for 5 days. Biomass production was 13.1 g/l, with 43.7% co-polymer content. Comparison with other studies using plant oils and the current study using egg yolk oil revealed similar polymer yields. Thus, discarded egg yolks could be a potential source of PHA.

산소자유기의 신경독성을 조사하기 위하여 배양 희소돌기아교세포에 여러 농도의 xanthine oxidase(XO)와 hypoxanthine(HX)을 4시간 동안 처리한 후 MTT 분석법에 의하여 산소자유기의 독성효과를 분석하였으며, 동시에 산소자유기의 독성에 대한 한약추출물인 천마(Rhizoma Gastrodiae, RG)의 방어효과를 조사하였다. 30mU/㎖ XO와 0.1mM HX에서 4시간 동안 신경세포를 처리한 결과 산소자유기는 처리한 농도와 시간에 비례하여 세포의 생존율을 현저하게 감소시켰다. 또한 한약추출물인 천마는 XO/HX에 손상된 희소돌기아교세포의 생존율을 현저히 증가시켰다. 위의 결과로부터 산소자유기는 배양 생쥐의 희소돌기아교세포에 신경독성을 나타냈으며, 천마와 같은 한약추출물이 산화적 손상을 방어하는데 매우 효과적 이었다. To elucidate the cytotoxity of oxygen radicals on cultured mouse oligodendrocytes damaged by oxidant-induced neurotoxicity, MTT assay was done when cultured oligodendrocytes were grown in the media containing various concentrations of xanthine oxidase(XO) and hypoxanthine(HX) for 4 hours. In addition, neuroprotective effect of herb extract was examined. The exposure of cells to 30mU/㎖ XO and 0.1 HX for 4 hours induced the decrease of cell viability remarkably in dose-and time-dependent manner in these cultures, and also herb exract, Rhizoma Gastrodiae increased cell viability of oligodendrocytes damaged by XO/HX. From the above results, it is suggested that oxygen radicals are toxic in cultured oligodendrocytes derived from mouse, and Rhizoma Gastrodiae is effective in prevention of oxidant-induced neurotoxicity.

This investigation was performed to determine the hydraulic conductivity coefficient and water holding capacity for a specified compaction forces which are the amount of mechanical energy applied to the porous granule (PG) volume. Most current specifications of minerals and perlite as growth media require to be compacted to a specified density, which in general is equivalent to a certain percentage of laboratory compaction. The water holding capacity of the saturated PG was very large at potential above <SUP>-1</SUP> bar compared with perlite, but very little water remained below this value. The water holding capacity and hydraulic conductivity characteristics of graded PG amended with the ground coir less than 2 mm in diameter were also determined from pressure outflow data. The saturated hydraulic conductivity of the saturated and compacted PG was slightly lower by more than one tenth order of magnitude at equal matric potentials of perlite, but when expressed on the basis of equal water deficits, the conductivity of PG was higher at all but the smallest deficits than those of perlite.
리더에 대한 부하의 진성성 지각이 신뢰, 가치일치 및 팀성과에 미치는 영향

최근 리더십 연구에서 리더들의 진정성 여부가 이슈가 되고 있다. 리더십을 발휘하는데 있어서 리더가 보이는 진성성 여부에 따라 부하들의 태도와 성과에 큰 영향을 미치기 때문이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 외식업체 종업원을 대상으로 부하직원들이 인지하는 리더의 진성성이 신뢰와 가치일치, 그리고 팀성과 간의 관계를 살펴보고자 하였다. 부산, 울산, 대구지역의 외식업체 종업원 336명을 대하여 실증 분석을 한 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 리더의 진성성 지각은 신뢰와 가치일치에 정(+)적으로 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 리더에 대한 신뢰는 팀몰입에는 유의한 영향을 미쳤으나, 팀성과와 팀창의성에는 유의한 영향을 미치지는 않은 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 리더와의 가치일치는 팀성과, 팀창의성 및 팀몰입에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 지금까지 리더십 연구에서 리더들은 리더십을 발휘하는데 있어서 전적으로 조직과 구성원들을 위하는 것으로 전제하였는데 본 연구에서는 리더의 자체가 리더십 성과에 영향을 미치는 요인으로 직접 검증함으로써 향후 리더십 연구에서 새로운 관점에서 접근하는 연구들이 향후 많이 진행되었으면 하는 시사점을 제시한다. Recently the conceppt of authenticity has made a big issue on the study of leadership Without authenticity of a leader the effect of leadership nullifies the effectiveness of leadership for the followers. This study examines the effect of perceived authenticity toward leader on trust, value congruence, and team performance focusing on restaurant employees. 336 questionnaires from restaurant employees in the Busan, Ulsan, and Daegu area were gathered and analyzed using structural equation model with SPSS 20.0 and AMOS 20.0. The results of hypotheses are as follows : First, authenticity perceived by followers has shown significantly effective toward trust and value congruence between leader and followers. Second, trust toward team leader has shown significantly effective toward team commitment. However, team performance and team creativity has not shown significantly effective. Third, value congruence has shown significalty effective toward team performance, team creativity, and team commitment. This paper make significant contribution by testing the concept of authenticity. This paper make significant contribution by testing the concept of authenticity empirically.
