The aim of the investigation was to study the effect of hot working on the tensile properties of the Stellite 6 alloy, normally used in the form of castings. To determine most suitable hot working temperature, firstly specimens were preheated so as to obtain maximum deformation without cracking, upsetting tests were preformed at temperatures ranging from 1150 to 1300℃ at intervals of 50℃. As the result, the deformation of 35% without cracking is possible at 1250℃. Both cast and hot worked specimens were investigated microstructure, composition of carbides, constituting phase and hardness of specimens by using SEM and tensile test was carried out in order to know tensile properties of specimens. As the result of observing Microstructure, hot workings breakdowns eutectic carbide network in the Stellite 6 alloy, and eutectic carbides are aligned in rolling direction. The result of the tensile test, hot worked specimen is much higher than the casting specimen in the tensile properties.

The purpose of this study is to explain the importance of Vibration Monitoring Device by introducing an example of Predictive Maintenance System using Condition Monitoring System of Hydro-turbine generator. Confirming vibration of generation equipment is commissioning procedure during equipment completion for checking guaranteed items. Data from Generator output range are used to determine output band to continue the performance of equipment. The Vibration Monitoring System is not absolute method of maintenance, but if it is used well with expert, it will be visible, data-analyzed, scientific maintenance more than others. And also, Condition Monitoring System is very important for remote controlled small hydro-power plant although most of it is installed in Large hydro-power plant.

The authors investigated the spiders of gyebang-san from May-September, 2012, In the present paper gyebang-san, from 97 species of 56 genera belong to 20 families, were identified, Two new species were discovered by this survey.

2012년 6월부터 10월까지 강원도 양양군과 인제군 사이의 군계를 이루는 점봉산일대를 한국거미연구회 회원들이 채집 조사한 결과 23과 65 속 118종과 두종의 신종이 조사, 연구되어 이에 보고하는 바이다. The authors investigated the spiders of jeombong-san from June~ October, 2012. In the present paper jeombong-san. from 118 species of 65 genera belong to 23 families, were identified. And there were discovered two new species by this survey.

A WblA-Binding Protein, SpiA, Involved in Streptomyces Oxidative Stress Response

The Streptomyces coelicolor wblA gene is known to play a negative role in both antibiotic biosynthesis and the expression of genes responding to oxidative stress. Recently, WhcA, a WblA ortholog protein, was confirmed to interact with dioxygenase-encoding SpiA (stress protein interacting with WhcA) in Corynebacterium glutamicum. We describe here the identification of a SpiA ortholog SCO2553 protein (SpiAsc) that interacts with WblA in S. coelicolor. Using heterologous expression in E. coli and in vitro pull-down assays, we show that WblA specifically binds SpiAsc, and is influenced by oxidants such as diamide. These data indicate that the interaction between WblA and SpiAsc is not only specific but also modulated by the redox status of the cell. Moreover, a spiAsc-disruption mutant exhibited a less sensitive response to the oxidative stress induced by diamide present in solid plate culture. Real-time RT-PCR analysis also showed that transcription levels of oxidative stress response genes (sodF, sodF2, and trxB) were higher in the spiAsc-deletion mutant than in wild-type S. coelicolor. These results show that SpiAsc negatively regulates WblA during oxidative stress responses in S. coelicolor.
