        Efficient Removal of the Organochlorine Pesticide and Heavy-Metal Residues in Epimedium brevicornum Maxim by Supercritical Fluid Extraction

        A method involving depuration of 12 organochlorine pesticides (OCPs) and 7 heavy metals from Epimedium brevicornum Maxim was developed using supercritical fluid extraction (SPE). The pesticides in the study consisted of ${\alpha},\;{\beta}-,\;{\gamma}-,\;and\;{\delta}-Benzene$ hexachloride, Pentachloronitrobenzene (PCNB), Pentachloroaniline (PCA), Heptachlor (HEPT), Methyl -pentachlorophenyl sulfide (MPCPS), pp'-DDE[1,1-dichloro-2, 2-bis (p-chlorophenyl) ethylene], op'-DDT [1,1,1-trichloro-2-(o-chlorophenyl)-2-(p-chlorophenyl)ethane], pp'-DDD [1,1-dichloro-2-2-bis(p-chlorophenyl)]ethane, pp'-DDT [1,1,1-trichloro-2,2-bis(p-chlorophenyl) ethane]. A series of experiments was conducted to optimize the final extraction conditions as following: pure $CO_2$, extraction pressure of 15 Mpa, extration temperature of $60^{\circ}C$, extraction time of 10 min, flow rate at 55 kg/h. A GC method with electron capture detection was employed to determination of the OCPs, and an atomic absorption spectrometry (AAS) was designed for the determination of 7 heavy metals including of Pb, Cd, Cu, Fe, Zn, As, Hg in Epimedium brevicornum Maxim. A HPLC method was developed for the quantitative determination of active constituents. The SFE was used to remove the organochlorine pesticide and heavy metals from Epimedium brevicornum Maxim, receiving high decontamination rate of pesticide residue and low loss of active constituents.

        Oxidative Stress-Activated NHE1 Is Involved in High Glucose-Induced Apoptosis in Renal Tubular Epithelial Cells

        Purpose: Diabetic nephropathy (DN) is a prevalent chronic microvascular complication of diabetes mellitus involving disturbancesin electrolytes and the acid-base balance caused by a disorder of glucose metabolism. NHE1 is a Na+/H+ exchanger responsiblefor keeping intracellular pH (pHi) balance and cell growth. Our study aimed to investigate roles of NHE1 in high glucose (HG)-induced apoptosis in renal tubular epithelial cells. Materials and Methods: Renal epithelial tubular cell line HK-2 was cultured in medium containing 5 mM or 30 mM glucose. Then, cell apoptosis, oxidative stress, NHE1 expression, and pHi were evaluated. NHE1 siRNA and inhibitor were used to evaluate its role in cell apoptosis. Results: HG significantly increased cell apoptosis and the production of reactive oxygen species (ROS) and 8-OHdG (p<0.05). Meanwhile, we found that HG induced the expression of NHE1 and increased the pHi from 7.0 to 7.6 after 48 h of incubation. However,inhibiting NHE1 using its specific siRNA or antagonist DMA markedly reduced cell apoptosis stimulated by HG. In addition, suppressing cellular oxidative stress using antioxidants, such as glutathione and N-acetyl cysteine, significantly reduced the productionof ROS, accompanied by a decrease in NHE1. We also found that activated cyclic GMP-Dependent Protein Kinase Type I (PKG) signaling promoted the production of ROS, which contributed to the regulation of NHE1 functions. Conclusion: Our study indicated that HG activates PKG signaling and elevates the production of ROS, which was responsible for the induction of NHE1 expression and dysfunction, as well as subsequent cell apoptosis, in renal tubular epithelial cells.

      • Monitoring Enzymes Activity During Vermicomposting of Rural Garbage dosed with Composting Promoter

        The physical, chemical and biological prarameters during composting process of rural garbage with different dosage of composting promoter were monitored. The results indicated that the addition of 5‰ EM solution to rural garbage was beneficial to growth and reproduction of earthworms after 34 days of pre-composting and 35 days of vermicomposting. C/N ratio, NH₄+-N concentration, and the activity of urease, cellulose and sucrase in treatment sample of 5‰EM were lower than that of other groups, while the NO₃—N concentration was significantly higher than the other treatment groups. 본 연구에서는 물리, 화학, 생물적 처리과정 중 서로 다른 용량의 퇴비가 농촌쓰레기처리공정에서의 수치를 검측하였다. 그 결과, 농촌쓰레기의 5‰ EM 해결시, 지렁이의 생장에 유익했고 34일이 지나면 예비 비료화가 되고, 35일에는 벌레가 자랐다. 5‰ EM 처리 샘플의 C/N비, NH₄+-N농도, 활성화 우레아제, 섬유소와 삭카라아제는 다른 그룹보다 낮았지만 NO₃-N 농도는 다른 그룹보다 선명하게 높았다.

        본 연구에서는 물리, 화학, 생물적 처리과정 중 서로 다른 용량의 퇴비가 농촌쓰레기처리공정에서의 수치를 검측하였다. 그 결과, 농촌쓰레기의 5‰ EM 해결시, 지렁이의 생장에 유익했고 34일이 지나면 예비 비료화가 되고, 35일에는 벌레가 자랐다. 5‰ EM 처리 샘플의 C/N비, NH4+-N농도, 활성화 우레아제, 섬유소와 삭카라아제는 다른 그룹보다 낮았지만 NO3-N 농도는 다른 그룹보다 선명하게 높았다.       • The review of Current status of research on linguistics for body in dancing in China

        [Background] Dance body linguistics is able to directly penetrate into the “truth” of dance from the perspective of dance ontology, which is conducive to identifying and reflecting on the phenomena of language confusion and identity dislocation that exist in the field of Chinese dance at present. [Purpose] Through a comprehensive review of the research on Chinese dance body linguistics, the researcher aims to provide powerful thoughts for the reconstruction of Chinese traditional dance. [Methods] Through systematic literature analysis, this paper summarizes and reviews all the aspects and perspectives of the current research on Chinese dance body linguistics from three dimensions: the theoretical construction of the discipline of dance body linguistics and its deconstruction and structure of dance phenomena. [Results] The study concludes that the current research on Chinese dance body linguistics is characterized by conceptual confusion, narrow vision, morphological confusion and weak theoretical construction. [Conclusion] As the body of dance is inherently comprehensive, the study of dance body language should not stop at the dismantling and integration of dance forms, but should also trace the rhetoric, symbols, meanings, concepts behind them, and their transformation and positioning in the development of the times. 【背景】舞蹈身体语言学能够从舞蹈本体的角度直接切入舞蹈的“真相”,有利于识别与反思当前中国舞蹈领域存在的语言混乱、身份错位等现象。【目的】研究者通过对中国舞蹈身体语言学研究进行全面的回顾,以为促进中国传统舞蹈的重建等工作提供有力的思考。【方法】本文通过系统性文献分析,从舞蹈身体语言学的学科理论建构及其对舞蹈现象的解构与结构三个维度,对当前中国舞蹈身体语言学研究的所有侧面与视角进行归纳与述评。【结果】研究认为,中国舞蹈身体语言学研究目前存在概念混淆、视野狭隘、语形混乱及理论建设薄弱等问题。【结论】舞蹈本体具有其与生俱来的综合性,对舞蹈身体语言的研究不能停留于舞姿形态的拆解与整合,还需追寻其背后的修辞、象征、意义、观念及其在时代发展中的形变与定位。

        Contribution of Phenolics and Essential Oils to the Antioxidant and Antimicrobial Properties of Disporopsis pernyi (Hua) Diels

        This study describes the characterization of essential oil and phenolic compounds in Disporopsis pernyi (Hua) Diels. The essential oil was analyzed by gas chromatography-mass spectroscopy (GC-MS) and twelve volatile bioactive compounds of D. pernyi were identified. Polyphenols were identified by reverse-phase high-performance liquid chromatography (RP-HPLC) coupled to electrospray ionization time-of-flight mass spectrometry (ESI-TOF-MS) and quantified by ultrahigh-performance liquid chromatography (UPLC). A total of 4 polyphenolic compounds found in extract were identified as rutin, luteolin, quercetin, and betulinic acid. All obtained extracts and the 4 polyphenolic compounds were evaluated for their antimicrobial and antioxidant properties. The results suggested that the phenolic compounds contributed significantly to the antioxidant and antimicrobial activities of the plant.

        Analysis of Fatty Acids, Aliphatic Esters, and In Vitro Studies of Antioxidant and Antimicrobial Activities for Recineckea carnea and Tupistra chinensis from the Guizhou Province

        Recineckea carnea and Tupistra chinensis collected from the Guizhou province (China) were evaluated in this study. Petroleum ether fractions from the two herbs were subjected to gas chromatography–mass spectrometry analysis; 10 species, which were fatty acids or aliphatic esters, were identified. The antimicrobial activities of a variety of extracts were evaluated against four microorganisms. The methanol extract (ME), chloroform fraction, and ethyl acetate fraction from T. chinensis exhibited antimicrobial activities comparable to standard antibiotics, whereas none of the investigated extracts from R. carnea demonstrated any antimicrobial activities. The antioxidant potential was evaluated in vitro using ferricreducing antioxidant power (FRAP) and the 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazil (DPPH) radical method. The FRAP value of the ME from T. chinensis (4.19 – 0.088 mmol/g) was found to be significantly higher than the analogous extract from R. carnea (2.39 – 0.092 mmol/g); the EC50 of the ME from R. carnea (0.32 – 0.011 mg/mL) was found to be significantly higher than that of T. chinensis (0.30 – 0.015 mg/mL). Total phenolic content was estimated by the Folin–Ciocalteu’s colorimetric method. A positive correlation was found between total phenolic content and antioxidant activities (FRAP value and the reciprocal of EC50). The results suggested that the phenolic compounds contributed significantly to the antioxidant capacity of R. carnea and T. chinensis.
