1995년 Hyogoken-Nanbu 지진은 RC 지중 지하철 구조물에 지난 과거 전혀 경험치 못했던 심각한 피해를 일으켰다. 이같은 지진피해의 정확한 평가를 위하여, 주파수영역상에서의 지반-구조물 상호작용효과를 고려한 지하 구조물에 대한 선형지진응답해석이 수행되어왔으나, 보다 정확한 지진피해를 예측하기 위해서는 시간영역상에서 지반과 구조물의 이력감쇠와 강성변화를 고려한 비선형지진응답해석을 수행하는 것이 반드시 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 지반-구조물 상호작용을 고려한 비선형 지진응답해석을 시간영역상에서 수행하기 위하여 주파수영역상에서 지반-구조물 상호작용효과를 고려하기위해 개발된 KIESSI-2D와 유한요소 범용해석프로그램 ANSYS를 연계한 복합법을 사용하여 Hyogoken-Nanbu 지진시 피해가 많았던 고베의 가미사와 지하철역을 대상으로 비선형 지진응답해석을 수행하고 실제 발생한 피해상황과 비교 ·분석하였다. 해석시 등가 선형화기법에 근거한 대표적인 자유장 해석프로그램인 SHAKE를 사용하여 지반의 비선형성을 고려하였고, 콘크리트의 비선형성을 고려하기위해서 Hognestad 모델을 사용하였다. 해석결과 실제 발생한 중간기둥의 전단파괴를 매우 유사하게 예측할 수 있음을 보여주었다. During the 1995 Hyogoken-Nanbu earthquake, underground RC structures experienced significant damages which had never been experienced before. To evaluate these damages, a linear earthquake response analysis in frequency domain has often been used. For more accurate evaluation of the damages, however, a nonlinear earthquake response analysis in time domain must be employed by incorporating she continuous change of stiffness and hysteresis damping of soil-structure interaction systems. In this study, a hybrid method which combines a soil-structure interaction program, KIESSI-2D with a general purpose FEM package, ANSYS is developed to perform nonlinear earthquake response analysis of soil-structure interaction in time domain. As a verification of the hybrid method, nonlinear earthquake response analyses are performed on the Kamisawa subway station which was damaged severely during the Kobe earthquake and analytical results are compared with the real damages. In order to consider the nonlinearity of soil, SHAKE program is used, whereas Hognestad model is used to consider the nonlinearity of concrete. It is shown that the analytical prediction agrees fairly well with the actual damages which were caused by the shear failure of the center column of the station.

Malignant fibrous histiocytoma rarely occurs in the jaws. Although the histogenesis of this tumor remains controversal, it is best regarded as a primitive and pleomorphic nature reflected by collagen production and occasional phagocytosis. It is common for metastatic foci to appear in lung and regional lymph node. There are variable treatments such as radiotherapy, surgical excision or combination, therapy of surgical excision, chemotherapy and radiotherapy. With the review of literatures, the authors report the clinical study of two cases of malignant fibrous histiocytoma of the jaw.
좌새골하정맥을 통하여 중심정맥도관 삽입 3 일 후에 발생한 상대정맥천공과 우흉수 : 증례 보고 A case report

A 67-year-old male patient had coronary artery bypass graft. Before the induction of general anesthesia, 16 gauge central venous catheter was inserted via left subclavian vein. Initial chest anteroposterior (AP) radiograph showed adequate position, and the central venous pressure measurement through it was satisfactory. This patient's progress was satisfactory, and he was extubated on the second postoperative day. Daily chest AP radiograph had been unremarkable until the third postoperative day, when a right-sided pleural effusion was seen. A day later, the patient complained severe chest pain and dyspnea. We suspected perforation of superior vena cava wall by tip of central venous catheter on the chest computerized tomograph (CT). The injection of radiopaque dye through the central venous catheter confirmed spillage into the mediastinum on the chest CT. Right chest tube was inserted. The patient's condition dramatically improved after chest tube insertion. (Korean J Anesthesiol 2002; 43: 525~530)
Estimate Site Index Equations for Pinus densiflora Based on Soil Factors in Gyeonggi Province

Site index is the essential tool for forest management to estimate the productivity of forest land Generally, site index equation is developed and used by relationship between stand age and dominant tree heights. However, there is a limit to use the site index equation in the application of variable ages, environmental influence, and estimation of site index for unstocked land. Therefore, it was attempted to develop a new site index equations based on various environmental factors including site and topographical variables. This study was conducted to develop regional site index equations based on the relationship between site index and soil factors for Pinus densiflora. Environmental factors that obtained from GIS application, were selected by stepwise-regression. Site index Equation was estimated by multiple regression from selected factors. Four environmental factors were selected in the final site index equations by stepwise regression. It was observed that coefficients of determination for site index equations were ranged from 0.34 which seem to be relatively low but good enough for estimation of forest stand productivity. The site index equations developed in this study were also verified to be useful by three evaluation statistics such as model's estimation bias, model's precision and mean square error type of measure.
Discrete-Time Queuing Analysis of Dual-Plane ATM Switch with Synchronous Connection Control

In this paper, we propose an ATM switch with the rate more than gigabits per second to cope with future broadband service environments. The basic idea is to separate the connection control flow from the data information flow inside the switch. The proposed switch has a dual-plane switch matrix with the synchronous control algorithm. The queuing behaviors of the proposed switch are shown by the discrete-time queuing analysis. Numerical analyses are taken both in the non-blocking crossbar switch and the banyan switch with internal blocking. Results show that a proposed dual-plane $16{\times}16$ switch would have the acceptable performance with maximum throughput of about 95 percent.

In this paper, we analyze the performance benefits of broadband ATM networks when the call control and management flows are separated from user data flows. The virtual path tunneling concept for control and management flows are applied to the same physical ATM networks. The behaviors of channel throughput and transfer delay are analyzed. It results that the proposed virtual short-cut paths can maintain the network being stable with acceptable bandwidth. They are very useful to provide the stable control and management capabilities for Internet and mobile applications in the broadband ATM networks. In our numerical results, the effective throughputs of the proposed virtual shout-ut channel are about three times than those of end-to-end user data channels with hop distances of 10, and about two times than those with hop distance of 5 when the link blocking probability increases to 0.1. It concludes that the effective channel bandwidth are greatly reduced down while physical links are not stable and user traffic flows are occasionally overflowed.
